      I will again stick to the top 4 in the betting forecast for the festival. This has now proved profitable for 10 years in a row and again last year found the winner of the National, it has done this 7 years out of the last 10.

      French Racing ???

      Bonjour all.

      The last two posts on the French jumps have brought winners at 7/4, 7/2 and 11/4 with the action on Thursday now coming from Auteuil.

      These are my plays for the seven race card with my MAIN SELECTION highlighted and my next best bets in NORMAL TEXT:

      (Thursday 3 April)

      Auteuil 11.52  BELLINA DU BERLAIS @ 4/1                                                                                                                           SUBLIMA @ 13/2  (both in reverse forecast pays 35/1 and just over 31/1 respectively with Bet365).

      Odds on forecast favourite FORMER FOREST is probably the one to beat but Bellina Du Berlais gets a nice weight pull today with that one on latest defeat so could be interesting opposition. Sublima won it's maiden hurdle well enough last time out and could be a threat IF handling today's forecast softer ground so worth very small cover.

      Auteuil 1.47  MISS WOOD @ 5/1

      Early support for this one from 7/1 is unsurprising after it went very close last time out in a Listed hurdle over this trip last time out at Compiegne, only narrowly denied by Ocre at the finish. Looks on a nice handicap mark to go one better now providing it handles the ground in today's race.

      Auteuil 2.22  KAPACA DE THAIX e/w @ 15/2  (3 places)   (reverse forecast with Light Wave pays just over 32/1 and 38/1 with Bet365 at time of posting)

      On a roll in weaker contests than this but is on an interesting mark in it's bid to step up in class today with similar comments applicable to Light Wave. PISTACHE DORE is rightfully forecast favourite tonight but needs a bit more on his latest defeat to Kamaro D'huez at the weights, though is by far the class horse in this race. 

      Auteuil 2.57  CELESTIAL SANDS e/w @ 5/1  (3 places)

      An 8 year old gelding who is in great form winning his last three races and deserving a shot at this much bigger prize today. Obviously more needed in this calibre of race and may struggle if some of his well weighted opponents are on a "going" day today, but would be folly to ignore in his current mood.
