A lot were voided for several reasons (injuries/postponements/dropped); the ones above are just the ones that started giving a 33% strike rate and a 12% loss on the day. Re: Anytime Goalscorers, 2010/11 Version Only one for Saturday: Magno Vieira, Fleetwood (v FGR), 59%, 5/4, 130 units (Bet365) Although he missed inclusion due to not meeting all criteria, common sense suggests a look at Ola Toivonen with a 57% rate, who is 4/6 to score for PSV against rock bottom and porus Willem II. I might have a couple of 'non system' units on him.

In terms of strike rate, January has been good (five from eleven) but it's generally the small ones that have come in. I'm beginning to think that as the season has progressed, the bookies have got more in tune with who is scoring, so maybe this is an October to December system! Sunday's: Mladen Petric, hamburg (v St pauli), 48%, 17/11, 71 units (unibet) Marco Di Vaio, Bologna (v Catania), 57%, 13/8, 152 units (Boylesports) Frederic Kanoute, Sevilla (v Malaga), 48%, 16/11, 61 units (unibet) Artiz Aduri, Valencia (v Heracles), 48%, 13/10, 39 units (unibet)

As discussed earlier how would the results compare with a different staking strategy now, e.g. at level stakes?

Re: Anytime Goalscorers, 2010/11 Version

As discussed earlier how would the results compare with a different staking strategy now' date=' e.g. at level stakes?[/quote'] I started with a vrtual bank of 1,000 units. At the moment my virtual bank stands at 1,933 units. At level stakes of 100 units/bet I'd now have 833 units, so using Kelly is certainly paying off. Since Christmas I've noticed that the stystem is calming down, with fewer players to choose from, either because dips in form mean their record is no longer good enough, and because the better players have been snapped up by bigger clubs. The bookies are also making very few blunders now compared to earlier in the season.

Re: Anytime Goalscorers, 2010/11 Version Really interesting thread - how long does it take you to go through all the games to find your selections? Surely you can't be going game by game, then doing the research on all the strikers involved? That would take forever

McGleish failed, despite Orient getting three :@ I've never timed how long it takes, but because I can work out which teams to focus on quite quickly it's not as long as it might appear - maybe an hour or 90 minutes for a full programme at the weekend when all ten divisions are in action. Maybe I'm a bit sad, but I quite enjoyed it earlier in the season when I was winning, but this side of Christmas with the bookies getting the edge back it's a bit more of a chore. I want to continue to the end of the season though.

Re: Anytime Goalscorers, 2010/11 Version Saturday's: Craig Bellamy, Cardiff (v Scunthorpe) 59%, 23/20, 116 units (Vic Chandler) Jay Boothroyd, Cardiff (v Scunthorpe), 66%, 10/11, 143 units (general) Lee Hughes, Notts County (v Exeter), 53%, 13/10, 84 units (Corals) Wes Thomas, Cheltenham (v Hereford), 52%, 11/8, 85 units (Boylesports) Alan Connall, Grimsby (v Cambridge U), 66%, 11/10, 175 units (Bet365) Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan (v Parma), 60%, 6/5, 133 units (Unibet) Oddschecker isn't listing goalscorer prices for Holland yet :( so I can't include them, but players who would have qualified assuming evens or better are: Bulykin, Den Haag; Castaignos, Feyenoord; Janco, Twente.

Re: Anytime Goalscorers, 2010/11 Version

...and all Saturday's failed. Tuesday: Dainel Nardiello, Exeter (v Swindon), 59%, 2/1, 192 units void (Corals) Adam Le Fondre, Rotherham (v Accrington), 63%, 20/21, 120 units :clap(Bet365) Jon Shaw, Gateshead (v Hayes & Yeading), 48%, 8/5, 77 units :@
Back after a week's holiday, but with the bank now down to 973 units (started with 1,000). Since Christmas I've suffered from previously hot players going cold or being transferred to bigger clubs, and from Bookies seeming to rein in players who were previously out of line. That probably makes this a 'first half of the season' system, but I'll keep goping to the end of the season. Sunday's: Felipe Caicedo, Levante (v Osasuna), 74%, 11/5, 310 units (Unibet) Edit - the game has already started (I got mixed up by the time difference) but I hope that as it's 0-0 that doesn't count as an after event.
