Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Sydney Fc vs Adelaide United Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.07 unitab.com Really late post, completely forgot about this one and ill be quick because im just about to head out. Really liking the way adelaide are attacking these days and they finally have some goals in them unlike the last couple of seasons. Sydney have not started they way they would have liked not being able to get a win on the table yet but i think the game against adelaide will reinvigorate them and it should be a really open and attacking game. I cant see a clear winner in this contest and while the odds arent helping much to determine it either, im going with the over 2.5 goals. 2-2 perhaps? haha :ok

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Jets v Roar - Roar DNB @ 2.04 Betfair A match featuring two clubs whose form is completely opposite of each other. The Roar have started the season very strongly and they are playing some very good attacking football under their new Manager. It was clear in the last game that Postecoglou's attempts to instill his footballing philosophy into the style the team plays is really begin to succeed. The Jets on the other hand are winless in their last 9 games. Now whilst it is often very dangerous to assume the in form team will win in these kinds of contrasting situations, the critical factor here is the off-field problems the Jets are currently facing. Their owner cannot afford to pay the match-day fee to the stadium owners and is behind on the team's wage bills. Several members of the Jets team came to blows in training in mid week and this suggests to me that the kind of solidarity that teams sometimes display in these circumstances is unlikely to be evident in today's game.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Completely agree with you Crouch Potato. The form that Brisbane Roar are in and the confidence they play with is great and very exciting to watch. Newcastle are on the otherhand in abit of a slump and without exaggerating to much, they are probably the most anti-footballing side in the a-league. There backroom dramas are well evident and unless they're players and staff enjoy not having cash in their pockets for a couple of weeks then i can only see this having a negative effect on their concentration and execution in this game. Brisbane Roar should introduce new costa-rican recruit Jean-Carlo Solorzano and i think that his flair (from what i read) could transform Brisbane Roar from there past reluctance to kill off games to a team which can now trounce teams by 2-3 goals. You've got great odds there for DNB and as im only getting 1.86 for Brisbane Roar DNB (really gotta join another site) i might look at another 'longer' option Newcastle Jets v Brisbane Roar Brisbane Roar by 2+ goals @5.50 unitab.com GOOD LUCK ALL! :beer

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season If the TAB is your only option right now then you need to get a new one ASAP! The only real time I've found them useful was when I was 17 and couldn't legally sign up online :lol I've also had a small stab on the Roar to win 3-0 @ 50 (Betfair). For me those odds are just too big considering that one team is in very real danger of playing without motivation and intensity.

Haha might take your advice on that one mate, but the thought of having my credit card connected to a betting account gives methe shivers. Ill be 20 soon so maybe its about time i made the jump to the big leagues :tongue2. Didnt get to watch the brisbane game cause i was at work but looking at the match stats looks like it was a bloody attacking game with 40+ shots at goal. Maybe on another day it couldve come up. Well in with your DNB bet though, a refund is much better than a loss :dude

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season It was not an attacking game. Gay porn would have been more excruciating to watch, but I struggle to think of anything else that would be. Last 15mins was the only time either team played with purpose. As for credit cards, you don't need to register one to bet with places like Betfair or other Australian books like Sportsbet or Sportingbet. You can make all your deposits via Poli.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Melbourne Victory vs. Brisbane roar. This match looks like a draw! Statistically Brisbane look great in defence having yet to concede home or away in the league and holding Everton to 2 in the pre-season friendlies. This hasn't really been against strong attacking forces other than Everton and Melbourne don't look like they can score away if you ignore the 3 against Sydney who are shocking at the back... Has 0-0 all over it. Am I being naive? The bookies (bet365) have given equal odds (3.4) to a draw or Brisbane win which looks like they haven't put any effort into marking this match up properly so there could be some value in this one with either a draw or Brisbane. Those are large odds!

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season MATCH:WELINGTON PHOENIX-SYDNEY PICK:HOME (-0.25) ODDS:1.94 @ PINNACLE STAKE:7/10 Well i am going strong on this one as i dont see any value of backing the opposite side Sydney at this match because their form goes in very wrong direction, instead of improving they are getting worser and worser. If we can add the away trip to New Zealand, strong supporters, and 20+ games without loss on home ground,Phoenix are very strong favourites for this one.Phoenix will want to improve after for me undeserved loss against Perth last week.I still think that Phoenix are strong favourites for the title along with perth.Back in the team are Manny Muscat and Oscar Roberto Cornejo, while the star signing Jade North will be able to make his first appearance for his new team. For those who dont know who North is,former socceross, strong center back who will rejoin his partner,Phoenix captain Durrante. This duo led Newcastle Jets to the title early in season 2008-2009.With him the team gets strong defence and i will definitely be a massive boost for the team.No any important missing for the team from Zealand. On the other side Sydney is still strugling with the injuries, which made them a poor side.Coach Lavitzka refused to force the attack duo Terry McFlynn and Alex Brosque back in the team as they are not 100% fit and he dont want to risk with them. The latest news for Nicky Carle injury will give additional headaches to the team so at the end i dont see sydney taking points from this one.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season what about Mariners-Melbourne Heart?? it should be a HW. I watched the last game Melbourne Heart played at home. although they won 1-0 they could've easily lost that match. I didn't watch any Mariners game so I don't know much about them but the odds on HW are quite tempting. :unsure:unsure

I would stay away of that game as mariners are nothing special for me and they are a team that should be in the lower part of the table.Having in mind that Heart improved a lot in the recent weeks and their moral is on high level after the first ever win i will avoid this game or if i must bet on this one i would take 2 units on Heart +0.5

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Central Coast @ 2.20 Tab Like Central Coast to beat Melbourne Heart once again fter doing so in Round 1 when they beat them on the road. There is nothing flash about the way they play, but they are organised at the back and get the ball forward directly and effectively. They did this once again last week when they beat Melbourne Victory and with the Heart having some injury concerns to key players, they will come into this game underdone. They are still trying to gel with so many faces in a brand new team while the Coast have some old campaigners there who get the results.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Agree with you blackcrow and will also be taing central coast. Melbourne Heart i believe are without Alex Terra and Rugter Worm. Regardless of the hearts win last week, Central coast know how to get the results and good defensive display should see them hold the heart scoreless and i can seem definately see them getting a goal being very good at set pieces. Central Coast Mariners vs Melbourne Heart Central Coast win @ 2.10 unitab.com Edit :Just as i was placing the bet, the price dropped to 2.10. damn

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Wellington Phoenix vs Sydney Fc Home win @ 2.0 @unitab.com Sydney have been awful lately and thoroughly deserve to be bottom of the table. They will again be without Terry Mcflyyn and Alex Brosque tomorrow because i think lavicka is getting them 100% for games that they can SEE themselves winning. Also Nicky Carle will most likely miss through injury. Wellington have been ok this year, even though they have only one win on the table i think they have been parallel with last year and are playing good football. Their home form is where they pick up the majority of their points with something like 21 games undefeated. I see this one as a Wellington Phoenix win and i think sydney will have to really perform tomorrow to even fathom a point out of this game. Good Luck :D

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Wellington Phoenix v Sydney Fc Sydney's first five rounds have netted 3 losses and 2 draws. Wellington have played 4 games, the first which was the 3 all draw in cyclonic conditions in Wellington which not much could be taken from, a solid win at home against Central Coast and are now coming off two 1 goal losses in Brisbane and Perth who are arguably the two form teams of the competition so far. Combine this with Sydney's top 3 players injured and Wellingtons home form (not defeated in 20 games) it's a bit hard to see them not coming away with the points and the odds are quite generous in my opinion. Wellington $2.10 @ Sportsbet Paul Ifill First Goal Scorer $7.50 @ Sportingbet

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Wellington - Sydney over 2.5 @ 2.10 Tab Wellington are favoured to win and given that they have a very good home record, then they are good value to do so. However, they have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their last 4 games against Sydney, so the Blues like coming here, as they have scored in each of these 4 games. For this game they are depleted and are struggling, but these are the types of games where they tend to play well as not many give them a chance. Wellington have scored at least twice in their last 2 home games, and cannot see a reason why they could not do here against a depleted Sydney side, but wary that Sydney may grab a late equaliser against them, as Wellington can go to sleep late in their games when they have a lead Adelaide - Newcastle over 2.5 @ 2.15 Tab Adelaide have been amongst the goals in their last 3 games as they have scored 3 goals in each of these games, while also allowing goals in these games. While they drew 0-0 with Newcastle in the opening round, expect a much more confident and attack minded home side to take it to them, with the speed of Leckie running of the target man van Duyk, expect them to create some chances here. Newcastle have scored only once and conceded only twice in their last 4 games but they have had their chances but for some wayward finishing. Would not be surprised they score here given Adelaide's inability to keep clean sheets but there is much better value on the over than the home team win, so like this to pick to come in

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season A little cautious on Adelaide v Newcastle as the previous meeting was 0-0 only 5 rounds back. However form in the last 4 rounds suggests Adelaide should have the wood over them in the goal scoring department. The goals have been coming from everyone for the Reds and Van Dijk, Leckie and Flores are all looking in great touch. Newcastle has been the boring team of the season so far and I'm sure Adelaide's attack can breach a stubborn Newcastle defence. I'd say a 1 or 2 - 0 win but just leaving this game in my multi only as the odds on Adelaide aren't great.
