Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Perrth Vs Melbourne. How long can Perth continue this loosing streak? their last 10 games read Drawn 1, lost 9, scored 2 and conceded 20. Their last game against Adelade they lost 2-0 but overall it was a better performance but they just can't score. I will go for Perth to get a draw in this game @ $3.35 with NSW TAB.

Perth win 3-1 with Robbie Fowler scoring all three goals, first one was a dubious penalty kick that the goalkeeper parried but Fowler scored from the rebound. Melbourne really struggled and Perth deserved their win. The two A-League games tonight proved one thing and that is Brisbane are by far the best footalling team that i have seen since the inception of the A-League, they play a brand of football that i haven't seen in the A-League before and are a very entertaining team to watch and a credit to their coach. :clap

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Newcastle - Brisbane over 2.5 @ 2.12 pinnacle After a struggle to score goals, the acquisition of Jeffers saw a much more comitted and clinical Newcastle side that beat Adelaide 3-1, which they dominated the game. Now they face another top side, the league leaders, and they will not be hesitant in going forward, as their coach Culina knows, once a team has some momentum, you keep riding it, so expect them to attack Brisbane from the start. Brisbane are coming off a very good 2-1 away win to the Melbourne Heart where their second half was some of the best football played since the A-League started. No reason to suggest that they stop here, and their one-touch passing and movement will cause Newcastle some problems. They have scored and conceded in 4 of their last 5 games, including their last 3 road games, so can see both teams scoring here. These two teams have played two draws, 0-0 and 1-1, in their last 2 games, so would not be surprised that this is a ...... 2-2 draw?????

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season I tend to agree with blackcrow and that there will be goals in this game. Roar will be without there captain Matt McKay who's on international duty with the Aussies, which will be a big loss for the Roar as their captain has been in great form. The Roar have been playing the best football seen in the A-League and in their last three games they have won 4-1 away against Wellington who were undefeted at home over 20 months. Beat 2nd place Adelade 4-0 at home and the Roar had their striker sent off when only leading 1-0. On Sunday they beat Melbourne Hearts away, 2-1 who were on a run of six games undefeated, and the Roar were behind 1-0 at half time but should have scored more than than the two, as they missed a penalty and several sitters. Newcastle had a good 3-1 home win last weekend against Adelade and this should be a good open game so i will go for Over 4.5 goals @ $7.35 with NSW TAB

Newcastle - Brisbane over 2.5 @ 2.12 :@ Can't believe this one did not go over. Should have been 5 or 6 goals scored as they both hit the post and missed some very good chances :spank
I was right when i said it would be an open game and the chances created by both sides just needed an ounce of luck with better finishing and the score could have been anything but the bookies don't pay out on bad luck!

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Melbourne Victory - Central Coast over 2.5 @ 2.29 pinnacle The Victory will look to bounce back frm a disappointing game away to struggling Perth as they lost 3-0. They have gone over in 5 of their last 6 games, scoring and conceding in 4 of them, so while they can score, their defence does allow goals. On the other hand, Central Coast have been flying of late, and with a win here they will go inch closer to top spot with 3 games in hand. They have scored 9 goals and have had 3 clean sheets in their last 3 games, so their confidence is high. While their away form is improving with wins in their last 2 games, they are still not as good as they are at home, and can see this being a close game, as the Victory tend to play well at home and in front a good crowd.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season I go with 2/10 on a victory of CC...reasons are for instance that Kruse and Ricardinho are both injured and therefore the attack is already at least 60% worse... Ferreira is missing aswell on Victory's side, so ye well CC to win with 2/10 @ 3 bet365 aaaaaaaand - 1 CC @ 5,95 Bet365 (1/10) good luck with your over 2.5, your bet seems to be good, i follow u with 3/10 :)

Came here earlier once I saw the odds to post something similar to this, ran out of time but saw yours which made me not second guess myself (which the odds kind of did) and made a nice little profit. Thanks dude!:cheers

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Glad some people tagged along and won some money :ok I also had a cheeky bet of over 4.5 @ $8, and thought it was a very good chance with 10 minutes to go and the score 2-2. Kruse had a sitter of a header from 6-8 yards out in the middle of the goal with no defender near him. He put it wide :wall

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Event: Melbourne Heart vs Adelaide United Selection: Melbourne Heart Reason: Okay lets start with Melbourne, they generally have a good record at home and are not afraid to have a go against the 'big' teams. They lost only narrowly to Brisbane last week but Birisbane have a much stronger away record compared to Adelaide. Now Adelaide, they have lost their last three away games (quite badly) including a 4-0 loss to Brisbane and most recently a 3-1 loss to Newcastle. To sum up, I feel that Melbourne will take advantage of this bad away form that Adelaide are enduring and come away with all 3 points. Melbourne win @ 2.5 with Betfair

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Best bet of this weeks round has to be Brisbane Roar who are at home to Nth Queensland Fury. The Roar are playing the best football of any A-League side i have ever seen and are on a run of 11 games undefeated. Last home game they beat Adelade 4-0 and had their striker sent of when they were only leading 1-0, they also get their skipper Matt McKay back from international duties. Fury have lost their last three games are bottom of the table and face a daunting task as there should be a healthy home crowd and if the Roar were to take half their chances that they create in their games then this could be a high scoring game. The Roar @ $1.57 with Sportingbet is a good price, also Roar 2+ @ $2.35 with NSW TAB and over 4.5 goals @ $6.85 is good value.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Melbourne Heart - Adelaide over 2.5 @ 2.21 pinnacle Overs have hit in 7 of the last 8 A-league games, with the bookies still paying better than even money, there is good value to take advantage of. Melbourne Heart have started to pick up points and prior to their loss to Brisbane last week, they had won 2 and drawn 3 of their 5 games. Concerned though that they are scoring but have conceded in their last 2 games, as both games have gone over, and especially with an Adelaide side that can move the ball around and create chances, they could be vulnerable at the back. Adelaide, while they have some creative players who can do things, have not been as productive in front of goals as they were earlier in the season, as even though they have scored 7 goals in their last 5 games, their form on the road is a concern. They have lost their last 3 away games, scoring 2 goals but conceding 9 goals, with each of these away games going over. With both teams liking to play attacking football, and they have both been able to score but also concede of late, can see this being a high scoring game, and they did have a high scoring game in theirs first meeting as Adelaide won 3-2 at home in August.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Melbourne Heart - Adelaide over 2.5 @ 2.21 :@ Did not get the extra goal needed. Adelaide too good on the night while the Heart only played with faint pulse Newcastle @ 2.00 pinnacle Newcastle have come through 2 pretty tough games with credibility as they beat Adelaide 3-1 and drew 1-1 with Brisbane. Now they play their 3rd home game in a week, and as long as the can keep their enthusiasm up, they will win here. Their defence has been solid while the play of Jeffers up front has rejuvenated their attack. Wellington have a win and a draw in their last 6 games, and in their 4 losses, they have allowed at least 3 goals in each of them (total of 13 goals) while scoring just 2 themselves. Even though they beat Perth away 1-0, they do tend to struggle on the road, and with the home team winning 4 of the last 5 meetings, like this Newcastle side to do well here Brisbane -1.5 @ 2.46 pinnacle Brisbane has played some very good football of late, as they have yet to lose on their last 12 games, winning 7 and drawing 5. At home they have 6 wins and 2 draws for 16 goals and just 3 against, scoring at least 2 goals in 4 of their last 5 games, while allowing just 2 goals in these 5 games. So they are getting the job done at home, and now they face North Queensland who have won 1 and lost their last 3 games which were all played at home. While they sit on the bottom of the table, with 7 losses, they have lost just once by more than a one goal margin. Still, do not think they are up to this Brisbane side that i rate highly, and believe that they will repeat their 2-0 win over the Fury they had against them last year, but this year's side is going much better than then

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Sydney - Perth over 2.5 @ 2.15 centrebet Sydney - Perth over 3.5 @ 3.85 centrebet Hard to predict a winner in this game as both teams are near the bottom of the ladder and they are not in the best of form. Sydney have scored in their last 4 games as they have won 2, draw 1 and lost 1 of these games, but they are coming off a 3-1 loss at the Gold Coast where they were second best all game. They have also scored in their last 6 home games, while conceding in 5 of these games, so like them to go all out on the attack as they look to move away from the bottom of the ladder. As for Perth, they had not scored in 5 games and then they beat the Melbourne Victory 3-1 at home, with Fowler's hat trick a welcome return to scoring for their marquis player. However their road form is a major cause for concern considering that they have allowed at least 2 goals in each of their last 6 away games, so can see them scoring here with Fowler finding space in behind this Sydney defence but Sydney too should score against this porous Perth defence. These two teams have played some high scoring games in Sydney. They have combined to score at least 5 goals in their last 4 games in Sydney, with 23 goals scored in their last 4 games in Sydney. Looks good for another game with goals in it Central Coast - Gold Coast draw @ 3.20 centrebet Central Coast are back home where they are hard to beat, after a 2-2 away draw against the Melbourne Victory. They had 3 clean sheets in their previous 3 games so they will be looking to tighten things up at the back, as coach Arnold does tend to focus on getting his defence right before looking at attacking the opposition. Also, they have 4 clean sheets in their last 6 home games, so expect the defence to be solid here. The Gold Coast have 3 clean sheets in their last 5 gsmes, with 2 of their last 3 games at home also seeing them shut out the opposition. Their road form is not bad, not as good as their home form, while they will be cautious in going forward against the Central Coast as they can hit teams on the counter attack. Coach Bleiburg is happy to sit back on the road, as he is pretty satisfied if they do get just a point, so like them to wait for CC to come at them. With both teams playing well and sitting 3rd and 4th respectively, they both have games in hand where they can close the gap on the top two teams. They have drawn their last 2 games, so like them to do it again here

Roar were lucky to get a 1-1 draw with the Fury last night when the Fury missed an open goal in the second half when they were leading 1-0, Roar equalised in the 85th min but their performance was way below the standard that they had been playing. Their Coach was complaining of the heavy schedule they had to endure these last two weeks but considering they were playing against the bottm team it looked as if they just wasn't up for the game. :wall

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Sydney - Perth over 2.5 @ 2.15 Centrebet :@ Sydney - Perth over 3.5 @ 3.85 Centrebet :@ Once again Perth conceded twice on the road but they did have a shot cleared off the line early on. Apart from that, did not do much else. Would have been interesting if they had scored Central Coast - Gold Coast draw @ 3.20 Centrebet :@ Did not expect 5 goals in this game, however it looked good at haltime when it was 1-1, and then half way through the second half where it was 2-2, but then a poor defensive error gifted GC their winner

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Quick picks: Wellington - Melbourne Heart over 2.5 @ 2.14 pinnacle Both games went over in the two games they have played this season. Wellington have lost their last 2 games at home so looking to bounce back, while the Heart have allowed at least 2 goals in their last 3 games. Newcastle - Central Coast over 2.5 @ 2.24 over pinnacle These two teams have each scored in their last 3 games in Newcastle. Newcastle have some good home form of late where they have been scoring and winning games, especially at home but have allowed goals in 4 of their last 5 games, while Central Coast have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 games, but worringly, the defence has allowed 2 goals in each of their last 2 games. Like both teams to score in this F3 derby. Brisbane -1.5 @ 2.48 pinnacle Hard to be enthused by this Perth side as they look unmotivated and not responding to their coach. Their away form is poor as they have lost 2-0 in Sydney, 2-0 in Adelaide and 2-0 at the Central Coast in their last 3 away games, and now go to play against the best team in the competition. Brisbane will look to get back on track after a late equaliser against North Queensland kept their unbeaten streak going. They look to have too much class for them

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Odds on Brisbane win are terrible @1,50 in my local, Wellington stayed under, Newcastle looks to go that way, maybe Brisbane can go over. Brisbane had some problems in the last two games when they scored two late equalizers, both of the games ending 1-1. I think today they will attack from the start and give their best to win this one. Brisbane are definitely the best side in A-league at the moment and even if Perth doesn't score Brisbane can go alone to over. So my pick will be over 2,5 @1,85 bet365 GL! :hope
