  1. Re: A League Season 2011/2012 Great write up:clap I will keep a close watch on Brisbane Roar and see if Ange Postecoglou's can work his charm with his new players as he did last year. I know the quality of players that have left will be hard to replace but i just hope he sticks to his attacking style philosophy as last year, the Brisbane Roar played as good entertaining football as any A-League team since the inception of the league and were a breath of fresh air to the comp and set the benchmark for the other teams.
  2. Re: NRL Grand Final Manly win 24-10 in a super Grand Final. Warriors came storming back in second half after being 18-2 down to get back to 18-10 and had chances to score but the class of Manly came through in a great game.:nana
  3. Re: NRL Grand Final This is the final game of the season and is a one off game that all clubs want to win. Warriors are in with a great chance but can they lift again as they did against Wests & Storm ? I think Manly who have played in three out of the last five Grand Finals will have too much firepower and win comfortably.:hope
  4. NRL Grand Final Manly Vs NZ Warriors Sunday 2nd October. Manly: Manly have been installed favourites @ $1.50 and come into the GF on good form winning games against North Queensland 42-8 & then Brisbane 26-14. Warriors: Warriors are $2.60 and after loosing their first preliminary game against Brisbane 40-10 they then beat West Tigers when down 18-0 and came storming home to win 22-20 and last week had a very good win in Melbourne against the Storm 20-12. Teams: The Warriors have no injury problems and field the same team as last week. The Eagles have the luxuary of having suspended players Glen Stuart and Darcy Lussick coming back into a full squad. Conclusion: The only head to head this year was a Manly win 20-10 in round six at Brookvale. Warriors have had two great wins and are on a roll but face a full strength Manly side and i can't forget the drubbing Brisbane gave the Warriors in the first prelimenary game. The Manly side tick all the boxes, they have match winners all over their team and most of their players have GF expieriance. I will be backing Manly -6 @$1.92 with www.tomwaterhouse.com and also Manly -6 & over 36.5 @ $3.10 with NSW TAB.
  5. Re: NRL Rd 23 Low quality game Sharks really struggled & Bulldogs not much better.
  6. Re: NRL Rd 23 Dragons line now out to -16.5 due to Roosters turmoil with three players being suspended by their Club.
  7. Re: NRL: Round 17 It is hard to believe how bad the Roosters are, they are rubbish, how did they make Grand Final last year ? can't see them winning a game this year and will be wooden spooners.
  8. Re: NRL: Round 11 Game over at half time as Sharkies starved of the ball. Parra took all their chances and played good.
  9. Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Wellington could have scored a hatfull of goals in this game, they were outstanding and even Melbourne coach said after the game they were lucky just to loose by two goals and his keeper had a blinder.
  10. Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Central Coast win 1-0 in a low class game, NQ were unlucky not to get something out of this game and can't see CC winning many games against the top teams on that performance.
  11. Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season North Queensland -Perth game finished 1-1 but in the first half the score could have been anything with the Ref having a shocker, two penalties against Robbie Fowler not given, Perth and Queensland hit woodwork and open goal chances missed. Second half Perth ended up having two sent off and how this game ended up 1-1 was unbelevable.
  12. Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season :@ Adelade win 2-1 after scores were 1-1 at half time. Adelade deserved their win and created more chances but the first two goals scored were top class.
  13. Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Adelade Vs Gold Coast. The last three games between these two clubs have produced three draws, 0-0 and two 1-1. Adelade at home have played 6, won 5 and drawn 1. They are 2nd in the league with 31pts having played 16 games Gold Goast away have played 7, won 4 and drawn 3. They are 3rd in the league with 27pts but only played 14 games. I think there is very little between these two teams and this will be another low scoring game. I will back the 0-0 draw @ $8.50 and a 1-1 draw @ $7.50 with Sportingbet.
  14. Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Roar were lucky to get a 1-1 draw with the Fury last night when the Fury missed an open goal in the second half when they were leading 1-0, Roar equalised in the 85th min but their performance was way below the standard that they had been playing. Their Coach was complaining of the heavy schedule they had to endure these last two weeks but considering they were playing against the bottm team it looked as if they just wasn't up for the game. :wall
