Carl
Saturday 27th Nov Marcel - 12.25 - Newbury WIN Ex-French gelding who goes from strength to strength and yet to be fully extended in six novice hurdles in Britain on good to firm/good to soft; proved that he does not have to lead by landing Grade 2 event at Cheltenham last time; must be hard to beat again. 3.00 Newcastle The French Furze e/w His success in this last year after finishing second in three previous runnings and confirmed present well-being with handicap success at Ayr this month; stable in sparkling form, too, but can´t see him beating these rivals but he might just get a place.:ok

Carl
Re: Smash and grab. 2.50 Newton Abbot Hernandita Secured her hat-trick (usually making running) over 2m4f at Worcester in October but well held with marked step up in class at Cheltenham latest and could now be bit too high in the weights.E/W 1.10 Hereford: The Market Man Very useful form over middle-distances on Flat in New Zealand; jumped like a natural when beating a subsequent winner in the mud on hurdling debut at Kempton at the beginning of the month and will prove tough to beat under his penalty over this longer trip WIN. Carl
Re: Smash and grab. cheers evad. Wynbury Flyer 2.50 Catterick e/w Once quite useful but steadily in decline; arguably best effort last season when second off today´s mark in this race but lost way subsequently; possibly needed race on reappearance (behind Six Pack), stable in much better form now and cheekpieces applied for first time. Regal Setting - 12.20 - Catterick win Close family best known for its speedy Flat performers but exhibited plenty of stamina himself in that sphere for Sir Mark Prescott, winning twice over 1m6f on soft surface in September and showing pretty useful form, the best from Flat in this line-up; bought for 215,000gns and may well hold good chance of winning start over hurdles. Carl
Re: Smash and grab. Garolsa: 1.40 at Wincanton Has won three times around this trip over fences this year but hasn´t looked very enthusiastic on last two starts (pulled up latest); usual headgear replaced by first time cheekpieces . E/W Toulouse- Lautrec - 2.20 - Market Rasen has got his career back on track with a comeback win over hurdles and is potentially better than he has shown so far over fences.Looked set to go places over fences two years ago but had his problems and lightly raced since; encouraging that he was able to make a winning reappearance over hurdles (even allowing that he was racing off a comparatively favourable mark), always promised to stay well and goes well in the mud; likely there is better to come. Carl
Re: Smash and grab. Argento 1.10 Haydock Front-runner but easy lead unlikely here; better jumper these days but nudged up handicap for both his defeats this season and the way he was reeled in by Oneway last time suggests even a 7lb pull might not be sufficient for him to turn the tables; stable won this twice in last four years. e/w Made in Japan - 2.05 - Sandown Triumph Hurdle winner and just about the pick of last season´s juvenile intake; faultless round at Kempton on recent chasing debut, ready for bigger challenge and looks sure to make a big impact in this sphere.win
