Saturday 27th Nov Marcel - 12.25 - Newbury WIN Ex-French gelding who goes from strength to strength and yet to be fully extended in six novice hurdles in Britain on good to firm/good to soft; proved that he does not have to lead by landing Grade 2 event at Cheltenham last time; must be hard to beat again. 3.00 Newcastle The French Furze e/w His success in this last year after finishing second in three previous runnings and confirmed present well-being with handicap success at Ayr this month; stable in sparkling form, too, but can´t see him beating these rivals but he might just get a place.:ok

Re: Smash and grab. Monday 29th November : 12.50 Newcastle: Imperial Dream Modest hurdler but looks better over fences and unlucky not to get off the mark at Sedgefield last time (badly hampered); jumps well but will have to fare better to win this stronger event.E/W Cottys Rock - 12.20 - Newcastle Looked useful prospect for yard when winning 2m1f soft-ground Sedgefield novice hurdle on reappearance from useful Flat handicapper Wing Commander; should have no trouble with this longer trip and likely the one to beat.WIN

Re: Smash and grab. 2.50 Newton Abbot Hernandita Secured her hat-trick (usually making running) over 2m4f at Worcester in October but well held with marked step up in class at Cheltenham latest and could now be bit too high in the weights.E/W 1.10 Hereford: The Market Man Very useful form over middle-distances on Flat in New Zealand; jumped like a natural when beating a subsequent winner in the mud on hurdling debut at Kempton at the beginning of the month and will prove tough to beat under his penalty over this longer trip WIN.

Re: Smash and grab. cheers evad. Wynbury Flyer 2.50 Catterick e/w Once quite useful but steadily in decline; arguably best effort last season when second off today´s mark in this race but lost way subsequently; possibly needed race on reappearance (behind Six Pack), stable in much better form now and cheekpieces applied for first time. Regal Setting - 12.20 - Catterick win Close family best known for its speedy Flat performers but exhibited plenty of stamina himself in that sphere for Sir Mark Prescott, winning twice over 1m6f on soft surface in September and showing pretty useful form, the best from Flat in this line-up; bought for 215,000gns and may well hold good chance of winning start over hurdles.

Re: Smash and grab. Garolsa: 1.40 at Wincanton Has won three times around this trip over fences this year but hasn´t looked very enthusiastic on last two starts (pulled up latest); usual headgear replaced by first time cheekpieces . E/W Toulouse- Lautrec - 2.20 - Market Rasen has got his career back on track with a comeback win over hurdles and is potentially better than he has shown so far over fences.Looked set to go places over fences two years ago but had his problems and lightly raced since; encouraging that he was able to make a winning reappearance over hurdles (even allowing that he was racing off a comparatively favourable mark), always promised to stay well and goes well in the mud; likely there is better to come. Re: Smash and grab. 3.40 Sandown:Geton:Lightly-raced improver representing top connections but this is much tougher than the weakish race he took on his hurdles debut at Newton Abbot last time and significantly more is required; stable won this last year.E/W and iam going to do small stakes for the win also :ok 1.20 Wol-Nanton Has shaped well on all starts on AW, including when dropped in trip over this C&D last time and, although vulnerable to progressive sorts, looks sure to give another good account. :hope

Re: Smash and grab. Argento 1.10 Haydock Front-runner but easy lead unlikely here; better jumper these days but nudged up handicap for both his defeats this season and the way he was reeled in by Oneway last time suggests even a 7lb pull might not be sufficient for him to turn the tables; stable won this twice in last four years. e/w Made in Japan - 2.05 - Sandown Triumph Hurdle winner and just about the pick of last season´s juvenile intake; faultless round at Kempton on recent chasing debut, ready for bigger challenge and looks sure to make a big impact in this sphere.win

Re: Smash and grab. Dear Deal 2.35 Newbury In process of running good race when coming to grief two out Kempton penultimate start; wouldn´t quite have won that day and underperformed on latest; bit hard to see him taking race like this even though back to last winning mark but worthy of E/W Afrad - 12.30 - Newbury Picked up a 1m3f Longchamp handicap in June when with Andre Fabre, sole success from eight-race Flat career; bought for 25,000gns last month; 9/4, plenty of ability when third of 13 here (good) on hurdling debut ten days ago and probably good chance to get off the mark today.Win

Re: Smash and grab. Lord Nellsson - 2.20 - Taunton Still a maiden but has accrued plenty of places and appeared to do little wrong when chasing home a talented rival over this trip at Kempton latest; could have done without a further 3lb rise but has his ground and should be thereaboutsE/W Time to Roam - 3.20 - Taunton chances are that he has improved and has an obvious chance off the same mark with the trip likely to be within his range; has been reassessed 13lb higher from Saturday. Re: Smash and grab. Penny Pictures in the 1.10 at Cheltenham:Proved on the Flat in the summer that he stays well and last two hurdling starts have been good efforts over 2m6f at Newton Abbot, comfortably justifying favouritism in six-runner race last time; raised 10lb but may now have more to give with further step up in trip.E/W Dark Society - 12.25 - Doncaster:Tony Carroll has proved he can squeeze a sequence of victories out of his charges and DARK SOCIETY can still take all the beating despite the best endeavours of the handicapper WIN
