The extra half mile could get him into a better rhythm and I think that off 10-12 he is a very interesting runner indeed and remains highly promising.WIN BET Saturdays extra: 13.35 chelt-Be Fair- I have had a whisper about this horse that it will win.:hope Well Thisthatandtother got clipped by Farmer Jack as he went down, but he should have really won it but he got 2nd. Carl
Re: Smash and grab. Raw Silk - 2.20 - Leicester win The race could be run to suit this one,a fair hurdler at his best; seemed to lose way in the summer of 2003 but returned from 14-month absence in style on chasing debut at Carlisle, readily accounting for Jodante after a good round of jumping; should build on that provided he doesn´t bounce. Jodante - 2.20 - Leicester E/W Keen sort; easily best effort over hurdles when clear second best off mark of 104 at Hereford (2m1f, good to soft) in April; rein broke on chasing debut but showed he has a future at this game with creditable fourth behind some promising types at Wetherby last month and can do better again so id expect him for a place. Colmar
Re: Smash and grab. Watched this one the day. Raw Silk was very close to coming through but the gap was too large. Another 100m and it could have been a different story. The odds were 11/4 at one stage. Got on at 9/4 as I didn't see them getting any larger:o Jadonte was well up the field early on (if my memory serves me right) but drifted out of the running. Lets hope for a better day the morn.
