ELCAKER
Re: Golf: PGA Tour 2010 - Wyndham Championship 19th-22nd Aug Absolutely gutted - he produced such a battling display holing clutch par save after clutch par save but ultimately Hoffman's heroics ensured a deserved victory. Fricking 62, unreal!! What can you do? Just be glad it's not like this every week!
hornet_18
Re: Golf: PGA Tour 2010 - Wyndham Championship 19th-22nd Aug Actually taken a couple more players than usual this week but for numerous different reasons I think they all offer fair value. Two guys waited for their good mate Charley Hoffman at the finishing line on Monday and I think they both have a great opportunity to shine this week; they are Adam Scott @ 20s (boyle) and DJ Trahan @ 80s (boyle). Both have the game to shine here (Scott - 6th GIR, 7th All around ranking; DJ - 3rd GIR, 7th All around ranking), and the form to back it up (Scott - 3 top 10s in 4 tournaments including last week as well as a win earlier in the season; DJ - 6 top 10s this season including last week at the Deutsche Bank Champs). Scott has played here twice finished 21st and 4th while DJ finished top 20 in his first visit here. All this and the Charley Hoffman factor should hopefully propel them to something good this week. Stewart Cink @ 51 (skybet) Cink has history of playing well after a wild card pick (1st and 2nd previously) so that alone should be enough to pick him, however, theres a lot more in his favour this week. 4 top 20s in a row show he is playing solid golf. Having played here 3 times he has finished 4-7-23 so clearly likes the course. This major champ should not be overlooked. Brandt Snedeker @ 61 (stanjames) Two top 10s in his last 3 starts tell us he's playing well. Two visits, two top 15 results tell us he likes the course - was actually lying 2nd after 3 rounds here last year before slumping to 10th. The course also owes him after he 4 putted from 10 feet on the final green to miss out on the tour champs. Hopefully it'll give him something back this week. Carl Pettersson @ 126 (paddypower) A winner under two months ago, Pettersson has gone off the boil, however, he is coming back to a course he has performed brilliantly at in the past. In his last four visits here he has 3 top 10s showing he can definitely play the course. He has missed his last three cuts but if he wants to make the tour champs he needs a result here so with course form and the necessity to perform well, this 4 time tour winner might just surprise at a big price. Last but not least is local boy Kevin Streelman @ 126 (boyle), he grew up nearby playing this course a few times a week so should get some good vibes coming back here. He'll have great local support and while he's never played here as a pro, he will no doubt be itching to get playing. Has two top 3 finishes this season including a couple of weeks ago in the playoffs. Should be full of confidence coming to his home tournament at what is a big price. Draperhill
Re: Golf: PGA Tour 2010 - BMW Championship 8-12 Sep The Tour Championship - 23 - 26 September 2nd Round Leader: Phil Mickelson - each way - 12/1 Paddypower - 1/4 odds 1,2,3 places This just seems an absolutely bonkers price considering he lies 3 off the lead in a very small field. If Mickelson wins here he become the no 1 in the world, so he has the motivation to do well.
