ooblio
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses By my maths (and I definitely accept that I could be wrong)' date=' you should get about 1.3 points for every $1 staked. That's assuming that 1 point for every £0.05 equates to 1 point for about every $0.08. (I presume Betfair use a relatively current exchange rate and not just $2=£1 :unsure)[/quote'] Cheers for that GAF :ok

runadrum
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses Starting at 00:01 tuesday morning we can achieve 3000 bonus points up to 23:59 on the 31st august. Approximate calculations are as follows: 7 in team. 1 point equals $1 stake, therefore divide 3000 by the 7 of us, equates to approx $430 each, divide that by 7 days, equates to $60 in stakes each per day. :ok Think we can achieve that easily. If any team member goes over that, it will cover any other shortfall, and maybe cover other weeks :unsure I will pm everyone with an idea, which might help ;) can I just check I understand correctly - six of the $11+$1.10 DON SnG's (per day, per person) would cover it ? bigbadken
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses Im well happy to do the sunday deepstack, but ill leave it to you guys, are we sticking to the days picked for each week or will we alternate each week, just seems unfair if someone did not want to play omaha every week, but were ok playing it for say one week, Mind i suppose someone may be pleased to play just omaha. You all know what your doing, shut up Ken lol.
avongirl
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses although Sun would possibly be third choice as we have a curry invite that night (was the night before but that is now out ;)) oops forgot about that (not got it in my diary). Well if it turns out we are doing that Sat I'll probably just have to sit out the first week and catch up later. I think Friday may be Joe's drinking night, but wait and see what he posts. :lol:ok Anyone earned any points yet? :tongue2

ooblio
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses Below is part of the rules. If we are stuck for someone to play on a certain day, then anyone can jump in :ok Daily Team Representative The score for only one player per team will count in each event. This player does not need to be pre declared. If only one player from a team enters the specified event, then they are their team representative. If two or more players from a team enter a specified event, then the team representative will be the player who has so far represented their team the least. If two or more players from a team enter a specified event and they have both been the team representative the same number of times, then the team representative on this occasion will be the player listed first alphabetically (in the order listed alphabetically in the Betfair lobby)
superfoo
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses I didnt realise what we chose this week was exclusive - Im happy to jumble it around a bit. It seems we dont have an omaha player/specialist Im willing to play Omaha when possible but I warn that my record is no good. Not managed to earn any points myself yet but will maybe get an hour or two tonight. Im happy to jump in any game if Im in at that time but I struggle to commit in advance. Finally are we that concerned on keeping the buy ins equal over the month? Finally has anyone considered GAFs idea about a sub-team?
bigbadken
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses We dont know Burnley Joes preferences yet, also i think be nice to have a swap around sometime, suspect there will be some nights some cant honour a game which will change things a little, the players in this team are all well capable of winning any of these games barring perhaps the omaha, which is def a specialist game. So lets go get em Teamroses:D:D:drums
avongirl
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses Yes, I think we'll sort out games 1 week at a time. Certainly my availability changes week to week, not regular nights, plus I believe the game schedule will vary (trying to get some different variants). Not sure how I'm going to get on with points building. Can't find a game I want running yet. Nothing doing late last night and thought I'd try one this lunchtime but nothing. Traffic on site seems very light at the times I seem to be around!

GaF
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses What's your PC/connection like? As I understand it, Betfair is very heavy on resources - they have a "light" version too when you log on which is supposed to be less heavy on resources - it might be worth trying that (if you arent already)

avongirl
Re: Betfair Challenge - Team Roses equates to $60 in stakes each per day. :ok Think we can achieve that easily. I think I'm a bit short today. :lol I've just played 6x $5.50+55c DoNs and my account is showing 13 points. My PC lags alot with Betfair unfortunately, but I did risk 2 tables at once at the end and it just about coped (with nothing else running). Can't get my head round how much I would need to play, but pretty certain it's way more than I would normally. If this means I need to take a half-share place in the team that's fine (as long as I get a couple of stabs at the $18k I'll be happy). As I understand it' date=' Betfair is very heavy on resources - they have a "light" version too when you log on which is supposed to be less heavy on resources - it might be worth trying that (if you arent already)[/quote'] I had a look at how much it was using, (on Ctrl/Alt/delete thingy) but it didn't look that bad actually - less than half of what the blessed McAfee is using, so I don't know why it lags so badly for me. It copes with the table play, but if I try to type any chat it appears at about the rate of one letter a second.
