Nice call from Rhino on the river, too.:$ In that 44 hand, Im wondering whether he could of took the heat of a river bet. Looking at what he had, Im guessing he would of folded. Terrible check call on the flop by the other guy, though. Hard to call when another 5 comes on the river, though. 99s wont look that good at that stage. Not sure you could put him on an over pair after the way he played the flop, mind. The last hand seems standard play in tourneys. GaF Posted June 17, 2009 Author Share Posted June 17, 2009 Re: Betfair BOGOF results Check on the turn - I was trying to represent AK - I put in a weak cbet on the flop and checked the turn - I was trying to induce the bluff from nothing on the river. He was BB, and had checked to me twice so I didn't expect him to be particularly strong (although he called the raise preflop and the flop cbet). The 44 - I'd fired 2 bullets with an underpair to the board - by the river I couldnt see much that I was beating calling, or much that I was losing to folding - just happy to get my slim chance from a showdown. The AK - once I'd raised, I think I was pretty much committed - maybe the better option may have been to call his raise and play the flop - but that also gives him a flop with a lot of hands I have dominated. I felt as though some of the other final tablers were looking to climb the ladder rather than risk all for the win so luckily i was able to bully and accumalate chips with minimal risk. Im obviously delighted, I won this tourny back in May aswell so its been a successful few months especially considering I only play sporadically, on this occasion i got very lucky early on and just managed to make the most of it!
