Unlucky Gaf, no getting away from either hand and you did well not to bust on the 2nd hand. Personally I would have bet more on the flop as I hate flush draws, but you would have gone bust if you did so you lasted 1 hand more than I would have done! Theres no point having position if you dont use it anyway. From the advantage you got from positon, a raise on the flop is a must. In fact, I cant see how, with the flush draw there, you didnt raise. It looks to be the most standard example of when to raise a flop I can think of. Forget the two outer he hit, you could have won a lot of money in this hand by raising on the flop.
