Lucky-15
Re: Racing Trends Easter Stakes (Listed Class 1 3yo) 3;10 Kempton 11th April 2009 12of13 runnings in this race have come from stalls 1-4 (changed to all weather in 2006 but that has continued winners being drawn 343 since) 11of11 winners here have been of the track for more than four months(with C Brittains Herodotus coming here unraced). 12of13 had already scored over 6f/7f (only 1 scored over a mile Rebel Rebel 2005 which also won from outside the draw peramiters). With that taken into account i'm left with two horses Captain Ramius and Viva Ronaldo which are hard to split. Captain Ramius :- The obvious class horse in the field having taken a listed event at Dundalk LTO for which he gets a 3lb penalty in this and already won here twice last season. Viva Ronaldo :- Connections say he's been bred for this 1m trip, has only been tried over 5f/6f as a 2yo winning twice. But was not disgraced in a Group 2 event when only 3 1/2 lengths behind the leader when staying on. IMO I think Viva Ronaldo is open to progressing as a 3yo and should take this competitive race in the trip he's been aimed at. Viva Ronaldo @ 10pt win:)

Lucky-15
Re: Racing Trends Not a good start Captain Ramius didnt get the trip running out of stean in the final furlong, while Viva Ronaldo was finishing strongly but was to far behind coming round the bend and was never given a real chance. Lucky-15
Re: Racing Trends Newmarket 15.35 Betterbet European Free Handicap(Listed) 12/13 raced at least 3 times as a juvenile. 12/13 raced in a group race as a juvenile. 12/13 made their seasonal reappearence. 9/10 emerged from the first three in the betting. 12/13 had been off course for six months. All this taken into account it leaves us the Barry Hills trained Ouqba to win this race.

Lucky-15
Re: Racing Trends Newmarket 16.20 Leslie Harrison Memorial Nell Gwyn Stakes (Fillies Group 3) 13/13 made their reappearance. 13/13 have made seven or less career appearances. 12/13 won a class 4 or 5 maiden. 11 having run over this 7f trip with 10 experiencing newmarket. taking the stats into account it leaves B J Meehans Arabian Mirage. Lucky-15
Re: Racing Trends wondering if you guys have got any ideas of a price when I should back each way as knot in wood could have made a profit running placed today at 8/1 but i only backed straight win cheers lucky15
Tony.
Re: Racing Trends Hello mate, Personally for me it depends how confident I am in the selection and of course are you being paid on three or two places. If its two I would rarely back EW but if three I have gone EW on 9/2 shots haha but typically on 8/1 shots. Good luck thread is going well. Have also backed 4/1 e/w in the past as well. Then of course it depends if you are 1/4 or 1/5 odds, but generally speaking, anything 9/2 and above I will give e/w consideration to, unless I of course strongly fancy it enough to go win only.
