However, to satisfy the rules, I must add that this selection has contested three races won by outside Arkle fancies so faces a more realistic chance in this small field. Changed yards and turned out for Alan King LTO over 2m4f race last month when showing no ill effects for that fall and running well to finish 4th in a Class 2 race for horses rated 0-140. A further 1lb lower in the weights and dropped significantly in class, must be in with a big chance today with gground and trip looking no problem. The races he contested recently were more competitive. Not sure Kempton suited him when last seen. His form beaten a close 3rd at Huntington looks very good though. 1st that day was Oldrik off 105. 1st and 3rd plcaes since and 123 mark now. 2nd that day was Argento Luna off 113. 122 now finishing 2nd and 1st since. Just four to look at and three of them have serious doubts, Quillan Hill wants better ground to show his best, the same can be said of Padalko who also has jumping problems. Catch The Stars steps back a mile in trip after doing ok last time so might find this small field against him as he looks a plodder. The rag Stage Right looks out of it. This leaves Raysrock, loves the soft ground, lost his way slightly when changed stables and went up north, back with his former team he found a bit of form when third last time and looks ready for this. Berings Express is a surprising contender as he has been performing adequately in some fair chases and was only beaten a length and a half by the very useful Pressgang at Kempton on Boxing Day. the sel. This ex Jim Bolger horse has his 2nd run over jumps after a decent flat campaign across in Ireland. His first run over jumps was far from impressive, but that was a hotter contest at Newbury. He was well beaten that day, but pulled hard and refused to settle. I am hoping that run will have brought him on, and he should be seen to much better effect today. I am going for Solitary Palm (5.20) to build on its nice lto effort when returning from a 3-month break. Ventured into the lead rounding into the home straight before having to settle for 2nd behind a well-treated rival.
