Towcester 24th April 2008

6-30 Arctic Spirit 13 years old now, but won this race last year. Has run here 17 times over the years, winning 4, coming second in 4 and third in 2. I think he likes the course. Worth an each way bet at about 12s.

Re: Towcester 24th April 2008 Good luck CM, One thing i do know about Towcester, its a specialists track, so many just dont get up the hill, even on decent ground. Walked it once, i didnt get up the hill either!

Quite right BH, I always look for a bit of form at Towcester, Sandown or Cheltenham if I back at any of these three meetings. And for that reason I shall probably lay the 'jolly in this race as well. I like to live dangerous :lol

Re: Towcester 24th April 2008 520 Possol : 11/10 Skybet Pretty good race this with four to consider, you cant get away from the level of form that the fav Possol brings into the race, 3rd at the festival and then a close second to Oslot last time out. Henry Daly has his horses running well and knows whats required to win around here. Of the dangers, Tramantino just makes too many mistakes at the wrong times for me, La Grand Villez fell last time and Alan King hasnt had a winner in his last 30 runners, Muhtenbar from the Henrietta Knight stable has had 13 goes and has yet to win and might need a soft race to open his account, this isnt that. Not much else to get excited about on the card but i wouldnt want to be backing Jonjo's Hunter Chaser later on at short price, not ran for a year, over a trip too short with a few unknowns in opposition, looks a lay to be honest.
