Windsor 09/07

Re: Windsor 09/07 7.05 Encores. At around the 6/1 mark it could prove to be an each way steal. Ran a promising race on debut and then after running on the all weather switched to turf and 1m2f LTO and won. Initial signs are that the form of that race is working out well as two runners well down the field that day have a gone onto a first and a second on their next starts. Drops down to 1m but that should not prove a real problem. 8.05 Emerald Wilderness. Been following this one for a while. Only one win and that was a dead heat but many placed efforts and in good races against the likes of Colorado Rapid and Zaham. Has shown to run well on a variety of the surfaces and indeed conditions and looks to have a good chance of a debut win for a new stable against older horses.

Re: Windsor 09/07 19:35 Windsor - Oakley Heffert Stable in great form and a good jockey booking in Richard Hughes. Dispite 7th LOT comments were "in rear, driven along and moderate effort over 3f out, not trouble leaders" so I think we should forget that race and look and the previous one, where he finished 2nd over CD and also on good ground. Trainer record in this course with 3yo reads 26w/169 (13%) +69.29 and jockey with 24w/140 (17%) +4.32 so a good chance on taking this race. One to consider (I think) is Cavallini with last year winning duo G L Moore and jockey of the moment Ryan Moore.

Re: Windsor 09/07 I would like to give some insight out to when backing at Windsor, you will find yourself in profit usually when backing horses at the track from high draws in softish ground, and usually it is also wise to play 3rd or 4th in the betting, and you should fine yourself in profit and prices averaging at about 5/1+

Re: Windsor 09/07 8.05 windsor Number 10 Parnassian 3 c/d winners in the race with one been the fav. Trainers only horse here tonight. and with odds of 13/2 with bet365 BOG, elsewhere 11/2, this has some value for a place, won on soft , going reported as gd to sft, expect a decent run from this tonight.

Re: Windsor 09/07 18:35 Two that stand out at big prices are Latin Scholar at 8's and Golden Penny at 28's. Both have had a run and both shaped well and look like they could go on to better things. Im backing both e/w. :hope

Re: Windsor 09/07 WINDSOR 9TH JULY 2007 CHEVIOT ASSET MANAGEMENT HANDICAP (CLASS 4) 20.05pm Mark Johnston's four year old Baan was rated as high as 102 this time last year when finishing seventh in the King Edward V11 stakes (Group 2) over a mile and a half on good to firm ground and did not really land a blow on the ground at Ascot.has lost his way terribly over the last 12 months, but with the going on the soft side and has dropped 19lb in the Hcp and gets another 3lb allowance this evening, finished fifth to Fortunate Isle over 1m 1f at Ripon last time out off a mark of 86, and drops down another grade this evening, Mark Johnston has got the services of Jimmy Fortune tonight and he is getting the first run ever for the yard, now with a price on offer of 7/1 it might just be worth to play this each way, and could even drift on course due to the form of the horse, but Mark Johnston would not send this here if he thought he did not have a slim of a chance to get into the frame. COOLMORE AUSSIE RULES MAIDEN FILLIES' STAKES (CLASS 5)20.35 With Ryan Moore in fine form it might be worth having ago on this trained Sir Micheal Stoute three year old, with only the two runs behind her,Dutchess Royale both runs have been creditable enough to suggest a bold bid here tonight, was last seen when finishing third to El Toreador over a mile on good to firm ground and went down by four and a half lengths, and finished a good 2nd on her course debut over 7f on the All Weather and that ground could suit diverting here to Windsor.has landed a plum draw this evening and if getting a good run through out should figure strongly off a strong pace

Re: Windsor 09/07 8.05 - NIGHTSPOT - With 3 runs so far this season producing 1 win and two 2nds theres no doubt NIGHTSPOT has hit a vein of form which can ,hopefully, be continued tonight. Distance of 10f on Good ground should hold no fears and the 32 day break since it's last run should also not prove to be a hinderance as it has won when fresh . Although rising again in the weights [ won of 68 ,now up to 73 ] it has won off 81 and been close 2nd's when rated in the low 80's. EMERALD WILDERNESS will probably start Fav , but with only one win to it's name [dh in a 6 runner H'cap on the AW] and ,IMO , doubts over getting the distance ; I think it could be worth taking him on with NIGHTSPOT.

Re: Windsor 09/07 just had a look at the last 2 races Stoute / moore partnership has Duchess Royale in the 8.35 & with a 2nd & a 3rd so far to its name can go one better here. in the last, sea Land is interesting from Tregonings stable, around 10/1 now dropped to a mark of 70 after 2 handicpas runs following its maiden win small EW double for a bit of interest.
