WinningTipster
Hi guys, Following picks for 1st round of Wimbledon ATP TOUR, WIMBLEDON MAHUT TO D CLEMENT @ 1.75 at pinnacle QURESHI TO D CHILDS @ 1.53 at pinnacle KOROLEV TO D DAVYDENKO @ 3 at pinnacle KIEFER TO D VOLANDRI @ 1.4 at interwetten TURSUNOV TO D ALMAGRO @ 1.17 at stan james BERRER TO D MONTANES @ 1.17 at pinnacle MULLER TO D HERNANDEZ @ 1.17 at interwetten BERDYCH TO D MASSU @ 1.17 at stan james In a match between two in-form players Mahut has 4:0 lead in H2H record including a win in Queen’s two weeks ago. Mahut reached finals of Queen’s where he lost a very close match to Roddick after defeating Nadal and Ljubicic on his way. Mahut’s big serving game is very much suited to fast grass courts. Qureshi had a very good 2 weeks of grass court tennis (including a win over Gasquet in Halle) and winning 6 matches in qualifying events in Wimbledon and Halle. The H2H is 2:1 to Qureshi. Davydenko just can’t play on grass. Korolev is a very talented young player with heavier shot and game similar to Safin’s. Korolev has a 1:0 H2H lead. Kiefer who comes back to the game after a 1 year absence played a good match in Halle against Berdych and looks to be OK. Volandri, from the other hand is a typical clay court player with no wins on grass. Tursunov, Berrer, Muller and Berdych: very similar reasoning for all of those – good grass court players all with good recent results and positive H2H record against typical clay court players who come to Wimbledon year after an year just to lose in the 1st round and to collect the checks. christiano
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Tip Detail SportTennis EventPin - Schnyder SelectionPin Strength10/10 Date25/06/2007 Bookmaker/PriceStan James @ 5.00 (Back) ReasoningThese odds are just crazy !!! I will try and take it.Schnyder is not great grass player and she is barely even playing on grass.During last 5 years she played only 11 games on grass and has 5-6 record. She was never great on Wimbledon. Her best result was 3rd round so far and in the previous 5 years she was not able to get past 2nd round !!! Last year she somehow won in the 1st round over Antonella Zanetti who is not grass player at all and that was 3 set match. In the second round she losed against Bremond in 3 sets.Bremond was in pretty good form then. But that is not changing the fact that Schnyder style of play is just not suitable for grass courts. Moreover this will be her first match on grass this year. She was not playing in any tournament after French Open.Camile Pin on the other hand maybe is not great tennis player but this girl know how to play on fast surfaces. She had great second half of the previous season but this year she just can't find her form.Still she is not playing awfull tennis :)She is just average :) She already playe few matches on grass last week at Hertogenbosch. She won qualies and losed in the first round against Safina. But that was pretty good match. She losed after great fight in three sets. And I must say that Safina was on fire in that tournament.I believe that Pin has greater chances here than the odds are suggesting and I will give it a shot. It's surely worth it. :) C'mon Pin !!! 2hcb
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Well it seems the only man who can stop Federer is Nadal. Federer really shouldn't have any trouble with anyone else on grass having just beaten the best of the rest on clay so he looks like a dead cert to make the final. Nadal meanwhile has been improving on grass of late and will be really keen to silence those who say he can only win on clay. Final R Federer v R Nadal @ 2/1 (Paddy Power)
WinningTipster
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Hi guys, following picks for ladies Wimbledon: MATTEK TO D BARDINA @ 1.67 at ladbrokes RADWANSKATO D PIRONKOVA @ 1.44 at betfair Most American ladies players have good game for grass and good Wimbledon results. Mattek wo plays powerfull baseline game with flat shots has too much power against Bardina who has lost her last 7 matches and had last WTA win in the beginning of April. The H2H is 2:0 to Mattek. Pironkova is out-of-form in 2007 while Radwanska is at career high ranking of 38. The two play similar game but Radwanska is just too consistent and in better form. The H2H is 3:1 to Radwanska who has won the last two and Wimbledon match of 2006.
kevshat
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Few early ones for me. 1pt ew M.Baghdatis to win Wimbledon 40/1 William Hill Marcos Baghdatis looks a nice price for the Wimbledon title here. Obviously there's every chance he'll end up losing to Federer should he get to the final but at least he won't have to play Federer until then. He's in a wide open quarter where David Nalbandian and Lleyton Hewitt will need beating but that's not beond the Cypriot. Having made the semi final here last year he'll have some confidence when he walks into SW19 and at a decent enough price he could well end up being Federer's opponent in the final. 6pts S.Williams to win Wimbledon 10/3 Stan James Serena has been in good touch this year winning a slam already and for me is the favourite coming into Wimbledon. She knows what it takes to get the job done and her brute force and power can't be matched by anyone in the tournament. She suffered a blip when her desire was in question but she's back now and has the potential to blow this field away. Running into Henin in the quarter finals isn't ideal but that's the draw. I'd still expect Serena to win and then go on and lift the title on the 2nd Saturday. 10pts C.Moya to beat T.Henman 6/5 Ladbrokes This looks a big price. Ok Carlos Moya isn't the best on grass. In fact that's an understatement but he's been to the last 16 here in the past so he can compete on it. That was in 2004 and the grass has only got slower in the last 3 years. The reason I like this bet though is form and fitness. Moya's in good nick having only lost to Nadal, Federer, Baghdatis and Nalbandian in his last 4 tournaments and is always super fit. Henman in contrast has only won 2 matches all year and the longer this match goes is sure to struggle. Moya might not be the best on grass but he's only really got to stick in there and the openings should come.

christo85efc
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Nadal and Hewitt tend to be involved in long matches at Wimbledon, Hewitt usually gets through about 3 5-set matches on his way through the tourny. Hewitt plays Bloomfield (dont have a scooby who he is) but odds for him to win 3-1 and 3-2 are 6.5 and 17.00 at bet365 respectively, maybe worth a few £ Nadal plays Fish, a tougher opponent than Hewitts. Odds for a 3-1 and 3-2 are 3.5 and 11.00 respectively, odds worth taking on possibly?! Hmm

U are like asking people for tips and not giving any opinions. Look back over the past Wimbledon results. There's always 1 big shock in round one. Your picking five matches. Lunacy. A safe single imo however is Tursunov. Solid player. Big serve. Good run at queens. Seeded.

Morris
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon The Del Potro game is on court now 0-0. Rain has stopped, but it looks ok for the rest of the day (about an hour or two), so the game might be carried forward to tomorrow depending on how long in takes. He has just broken D.Sanguinetti in the first game of the match which is not a bad start. Good Luck mate, very very bold move, but if you can afford it - then why not :ok I've got a 25 bet accy on at the moment:puke, ill post some details about it later. gerrie26681
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon This fella that bet $2500 on Del Potro, Haas and Gonzalez. He says is returns $4900. Now Del Potro was 1.12 and Gonzalez was 1.24. These are best prices I dunno are they from the same bookies however. So $2500 on this double would return $3472. So that means he got odds of 1.41 on Haas winning. I've very much like to know what bookie was offering 1.41 on Tommy Haas winning.
gerrie26681
Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Did anyone see that Paddypower paid out on Federer winning Wimbledon before his first match!
