Worcester 2:05

maximum win bet

Grand Roi

Interesting on debut for James Owen.

comes straight from Gordon Elliott and although a maiden over fences is a grade 2 hurdles winner.

Goes off 11:3 once claim of half a stone is taken into account and in this small field may well readily assert and fits the bill as the ultimate de facto  “Irish raider “. May need the run but well worth the risk. My first maximum win bet  and while no sure thing represents value against the very good favourite, who may or may not be in the same class.

listowel 2:05

CHAUTUAQUA

win

nothing is ever clear in Ireland, but this runner is a stable switcher for Brendan Joyce from Dennis Hogan same jockey partnership landed a race on the sand at laytown last week. Same arrangement carries a transferred horse from Denis Hogan who retains traineeship of the horses. Who knows what goes on but this runner narrowly defeated by a decent horse in the spring and those close behind have all won in turn. Not seen since and having been stung by a well backed winner on the beach bookies taking no chances here.

Brighton 4:15
Uncle Dick

win

Has won two of last three runs.

turns out quickly within seven days of winning over course and distance. Races off the same mark.

was winning an apprentice race so unpenalised.
Gets in here off  bottom weight so carries considerably less than when winning and has another three pound claimer on board. So carries a reward rather than a penalty. Stands a very good chance of extending winning run on these terms…..

A great fourth for the draw data horse   shes in the game. trapped in a pocket but extracted and finishing best of all despite travelling around obstacles and having to be pulled out…..

More draw data for you.

Brighton 5:20

the draw data horse is

Doc sportello

each way

off for 349 days and on or near to a winning mark long time off to defy. Has won after a break before and nine of eleven wins in second half of the month, although has never won in September, has August and October wins in the cv.

draw figures put two horses in the frame though along with influence from non runners drawn nearby and the weights a contributory factor.

Voodoo ray

win

ridden by Tom Queally a comfortable winner here on last visit.

Kempton 6:00

Silvretta ( watching brief)

last seen being touched off in a class 3 maiden 346 days ago by Sumo Sam.

Sumo Sam has stepped to two miles and destroyed all comers at up to group 2 level and while it would have to be a leap of faith to tar this horse with the  same brush as sumo Sam, the Juddmonte bred runners connections would be very keen to make the association. The switch to shorter though is baffling and he’d surely have to make all here. Will just be intriguing to see what happens…..,

Oisin Murphy takes the ride and this horse should be up to this class five only question being the trip and could be one to watch out for when moving up in trip.

* certainly worth watching and a very good second. Will be hard to beat when eventually stepped up in trip and grade. Definitely a horse for future success

The lucky last a compelling case for

Kempton park 8:30

largo bay

each way

two wins at this time last year in August and September. Latest win here coming off 11lbs higher than now.

latest run full of promise at Windsor when staying on fourth under Hollie Doyle who reported horse to have hung right badly under pressure. Four lengths clear of the remainder.
Two other dynamics two runners drawn either side are withdraw leaving selection as the highest drawn runner in the field.
