RESULTS UPDATE

Quite amazing how my mistakes teach me to be more wise in the future.  What a silly singles bet it was for me to put £2.50 on Sea Empress when I already had it in my Trixie.  Much better for me to have had £2 on the favourite to cover the cost of my Trixie.  I'm not saying this just because the favourite won the race, it almost didn't.  Simple logic suggests that an alternative selection to the Trixie selection, especially if that one is the favourite is a much safer bet than trusting just in the one selection.  I will do this in future.  Just one winner in the Trixie so a nil return.  However, I was very fortunate to get 8.2 about Silent Escape in the 8.25 another alternative to my Trixie selection.  This was backed into a 3/1 SP at the off (those cheap skate bookies want it all don't they?  Not satisfied with stuffing their satchels with profits from the even money shot getting beat).  Anyway my one winner produced a net profit of £5.22 on the day.  This makes my new balance £778.75 (Bank £1056.22)

Five flat meetings in the UK later, a lot of short priced favourites at Newmarket.  Alas, I won't have much time for analysis tomorrow, which is frustrating as I would love to spend some time cultivating my new approach to analysing prospective selections.  I will try and find some time but I rather fear not much.
