Chelsea vs Manchester City

Despite a defeat in the Champions League quarter-finals second leg against Porto, the home side booked a place among the best four continental teams. The Blues haven’t been convincing in the previous match, but a stoppage-time goal didn’t harm their Champions League bid. However, Thomas Tuchel’s side has been inconsistent lately, and everything started after a surprising 5:2 defeat against West Brom at Stamford Bridge. Nevertheless, Mason Mount and the lads are still in the game for the top-four spot, as they are one point behind West Ham. The hosts have been quite confident at Stamford Bridge this season, but their latest performances haven’t been too promising. If Chelsea wants to win a domestic trophy, though, they need to put a very disciplined display.

Manchester City also managed to get through the Champions League semi-finals after a 4:2 aggregate victory over Borussia Dortmund. However, the Citizens were trailing at halftime, and that result was more suitable for the German side. Nevertheless, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden were the leading turnaround creators and brought their team a chance to face PSG for the place in the finals. Pep Guardiola’s side is already on the right track to securing the Premier League title, being 11 points ahead of Manchester United. City already progressed to the EFL Cup finals, and they are in the game for all four trophies this season. The victory against Borussia Dortmund is a massive boost of confidence for the visitors to try to pick up the glory in all competitions.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

This game can go either way, but Manchester City has been more stable recently. The visitors are enjoying an excellent streak and might continue it at the Blues’ expense. We believe they will secure another final and win this game in 90 minutes.

Goals Market Prediction

The Citizens scored at least twice on the road in 14 out of their previous 15 games. On the other hand, Chelsea rarely misses the opportunity to find the back of the net recently. We expect to see an efficient encounter that will go over a 2.5 margin.

Chelsea vs Manchester City

It's FA Cup Semi-Final weekend and that means a double header of Wembley Stadium action. The first tie coming up is a 5:30pm BST kick-off on Saturday afternoon between Chelsea and Manchester City. There may be no fans attending this epic clash but you can be certain that this game will be full of drama as the London club look to put a spanner in the works of the Premier League leaders' quadruple hunt.

Chelsea enjoyed another brilliant European night in midweek as they eliminated Porto from the Champions League to reach the Semi-Finals of the competition. Thomas Tuchel has seen his team bounce back well after the shock 5-2 defeat to West Brom in the league a couple of weeks back. The Blues now have an opportunity to reach their 15th FA Cup Final and their fourth in five seasons. The team has had a relatively trouble-free route to this stage of the competition with wins over Morecambe, Luton, Barnsley, and Sheffield United so far. Chelsea have a superb record in FA Cup Semi-Finals winning 7 of their last 8. However, that single defeat was against Manchester City back in 2013.

Manchester City are on the charge for an unprecedented quadruple. Pep Guardiola's side booked their place in the Champions League Semi-Finals in midweek after knocking out Borussia Dortmund. The Citizens appear to have the Premier League all wrapped up and with the EFL Cup Final due to be played later this month their whole season is now set to be defined by a matter of weeks. If City win it'll be their 12th FA Cup Final appearance. The team have only lost 1 of their last 10 visits to Wembley Stadium in all competitions and that was the FA Cup Semi-Final defeat to Arsenal last season. They have swept aside tricky opposition so far with Bournemouth, Burnley, Arsenal, and Manchester United amongst the sides they have disposed of on the way to this stage.

This game presents a chance for Chelsea to buck the recent trend of having never beaten Manchester City at the new Wembley Stadium in the three times they have met. Both teams will have their squad strength fully tested over the coming weeks and after two tough European games in midweek it'll be interesting to see how they cope with such a huge game like this. I think anyone with any sense will feel this is City's game to lose but it's going to be an intriguing clash. It could even require extra-time or penalties to decide the winner.

Chelsea v Man City: 20 points on De Bruyne to get an assist at 23/10 with PP and 10 on him and Mount both having a shot on target at 3/1 Hills.

Not a bad price for one of the select bands of players who are vaguely trustworthy in this market (certainly better than the laughable 10/11 I saw elsewhere). Fancy him to have a decent game (often translates as "limp off early" though) and rise to the occasion. Another shots bet where the doubled "flash odds" make it look worth taking.

I'll confess that I'm watching the game and fancy an interest but I still like these bets at the odds. Just don't consider them nailed on like most of my other bets! :lol

Southampton have won both previous FA Cup meetings between these teams - in January 2006 and January 2008 - but Leicester have the best record in most recent meetings overall. The Foxes won 2-0 when the teams met at King Power in the league three months ago and we can see this match in London end the same way.

Leicester City
Leicester City are in unsteady forms in this season due to injuries. In last 2 League games, they were beaten by Manchester City and West Ham United, with conceding 5 goals totally.

Southampton
Southampton’s offensive sides exist problems as they just scored 39 goals totally. With 60% loss rate, they were even beaten by West Bromwich(WBA) with 0:3, which beat their morale heavily.

Betting Verdict:
Both sides are in poor forms, but Leicester City once beat Southampton with 2:0 at home, having psychological advantage. The 1X2 first odd is 2.00-3.50-3.60, which seems to support the host. So Leicester City will be expected higher in this round.

Leicester vs Southampton

The second FA Cup Semi-Final is coming up on Sunday evening at 6:30pm BST from Wembley Stadium where high-flying Premier League side Leicester will take on struggling division rivals Southampton for a lucrative place in the FA Cup Final against Chelsea next month. Fans will make a welcome return to watching football live at this game with 4,000 Brent locals and key workers in attendance so it's set to be a special one.

Leicester have the potential to make this a real season to remember with the club in 3rd place in the Premier League and now just possibly 180 minutes away from lifting their first ever FA Cup trophy. However, this is a season of finely balanced situations. The Foxes could also end up missing out on Champions League qualification and reaching the FA Cup Final altogether. Brendan Rodgers knows his team hold the unwanted record for most appearances in an FA Cup Final without winning the competition and their last appearance in the showpiece event was back in 1969. The team have faced a tricky route to this stage having beaten Stoke, Brentford, Brighton, and Manchester United.

Southampton will see this game as an opportunity to save what has ultimately been a disappointing campaign. Ralph Hasenhuttl's men are down in 14th in the Premier League table but reaching the FA Cup Final would add some much-needed gloss to this campaign. The Saints last won the trophy back in 1976 but did appear in the Final as recently as 2003. The team have disposed of Shrewsbury, Arsenal, Wolves, and Bournemouth on their way to the last four so they must be commended on navigating their way past some difficult opponents but is this a bridge too far?

The victory for Chelsea over Manchester City will have given these two teams an extra boost to want to reach the Final. With all due respect to Chelsea, both teams would have feared facing City more I think. Leicester and Southampton have both done well to reach this stage but the road must end here for one. Neither side is in great form at the moment so this game could go either way. I think it'll be closer than some might think but I think Leicester should have enough to progress.
