Racing Chat - Monday Feb 25th

Recommended Posts

A 7/2 winner(adv) from my sole selection on Friday,no selections Sat and Sunday.Three for tomorrow however at my "local"...

2.10 Uttoxeter

CHOOCHOOBUGALOO - 7/4 Sky

CHOOCHOOBUGALOO doesn't always find always as much off the bridle as you would like, but there can be no doubting the manner in which she put to bed a decent field at Kelso last time.
Raised a stone for that win,the selection wont have things all her own way this time, but today's opposition looks no stronger...

3.45 Uttoxeter

OH LAND ABLOOM - 5/2 Paddy Power

You want to be near the front in hurdle races at Uttoxeter on decent ground,so the front running OH LAND ABLOOM should be suited by the run of the race.
The selection looked all over the winner two out at Warwick last time, only to weaken on the run in as if failing to stay the three and a quarter mile trip.
Racing over two furlongs shorter here looks ideal, as does the fact this consistent nine year old gets in here off the same handicap mark as at Warwick.Likely to get his own way in front,Neil Kings charge will be tough to pass.

4.15 Uttoxeter

CRUCIAL ROLE - 13/8 Bet Vic

The first point of call when assessing a Uttoxeter card is to take note of anything Dan Skelton runs at the venue.
He rarely leaves the Staffordshire course empty handed and in the shape of CRUCIAL ROLE,looks set to notch up another winner.
The selection jumped well when crucifying a big field in a beginners Chase here back in December and has excuses for a lack luster run at Haydock in graded company last time.Providing all is well, expect to see Harry Skelton kick for home early in the straight(its a tactic he uses often here to great effect).

My first post. One selection from each meeting combined in a Lucky 15 Bet.

2:20 Ayr - Castaliera. Hard to make a case for the horse on bare form however several things from Trainer / Jockey / Owner point to a better than expected run than the forecast price would suggest.

Horse recently arrived at the new yard as recent as last week, entered straight into a first-time handicap. and runs in a hood for the first time, Trainer / Jockey 1 from 1 here (100%) Trainer also owns the horse.

2:40 Uttoxeter - Blackmill. Trainer / Jockey only runner/ride of the day and this is the time of year to catch this horse looking at previous winning form has had wind op and dropped in the weights to be competitive today.

4:40 Plumpton - Ruby Yeats. Beaten favorite 9 days ago and dropped in class here today to collect.

5:55 Wolverhampton - Drakefell. Course and distance winner who looks to be coming back to the boil judged on the last run. He is wearing blinkers for the first time.
