StevieDay1983
The breaking news has just been confirmed that Julen Lopetegui has been sacked from his role as Spain head coach. Not surprising given he only told the Spanish FA that he had accepted the contract offer to become Real Madrid manager after the World Cup just 5 minutes before it was announced to the press. Here is a quick look at the early odds for the country's next head coach being offered by Betfair... Luis Enrique - 2.75 Albert Celades - 3.50 Rafa Benitez - 6.00 Arsene Wenger - 8.00 Zinedine Zidane - 15.00 Guti - 17.00 What do you all think? I think Enrique looks the obvious choice. How will this affect Spain heading into the tournament?
BillyHills
Could hire Pep for a month? Ridiculous decision in my eyes, you dont do that so close to a tournament surely. Lots of people move on after a World Cup. Hope they fail miserably

Hope they fail miserably It sounds like he was quite duplicitous and broke contractual agreements. I'm not sure Manchester City would want Pep Guardiola away from his club duties for a month. It's half of the remaining off-season. Someone mentioned Fernando Hierro being appointed as well.
