BillyHills
Carlisle Backing favourites at Carlisle over the last 5 years would produce a 38% Strike Rate. That is slightly above average but interestingly if you compare Hurdles to Chases we get a very different story. Chases only produce a 32% S/R where as Hurdles increases to a very decent 42%. Outright favourites read 72 winners from 170 races 3 races on Wednesday 1.50, 2.50 and 3.55.

BillyHills
Huntingdon Harry Fry doesn't have that many runners at Huntingdon compared to the likes of Nicholls, Henderson, O'Neill and King. He has had just 11 runners in the last 4 years since he started training. Four of those have been winners for a S/R of 36% and is also showing a profit on his runners. In the same period Henderson has had 73 runners, O;'Neill 83 and King 91 just to put it into some context. On Thursday he sends 2 runners on the 400 mile round trip 2.00 : Status Quo (EW 12/1) 3.10 : Desert Queen (7/4)
BillyHills
Ayr Trainer Donald Whillans who is based at Hawick in the Scottish Borders is worth following at Ayr when he sends one of his horses. Over the last couple of years he has had just 7 runners over hurdles and 4 of them have won showing a very healthy level stakes profit. He sends just one today; 4.45 Ayr: Shades Of Midnight
