On the sporting life website, as with any racecard, be it in the paper or wherever, the immortal letter D under the horses name means it is a winner at that distance? I take it that you are new to horse-racing? I use the racecards on the sporting life website as they appear to be the same as those used in the Sun newspaper, meaning if I'm not near my pc, I can still use my methods. Using a different paper or website may bring different selections to mine. Fields of 10 or less, look at the betting forecast in the paper or online, then check to see if it has won at that distance before. If yes, then it qualifies. I am thinking about combining different newspapers (for example) to look at covering more selections. One newspaper / website may predict one horse to be the favourite than isn't a distance winner but a different publication may have a different horse as their betting forecast favourite which is. The only problem with doing that is it then becomes slightly more time consuming. I think that whatever source is used for the racecards, the key is consistency. In other words, once you have your methods / source of information, stick to them. It's a nice, simple system - not massive profits but showing profits still.
