skyalpha
What's in store for betting on the Olympic Games? It's coming up quickly.
StevieDay1983
Yes, the Olympics have now officially opened but the football has been going for a number of days. Here is a look at the outright odds for the men's and women's competitions at Rio 2016, courtesy of bet365. First the men's outright... Secondly, the women's outright... After Germany won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil I would not put it past their U23 side to repeat the feat. I cannot see past them or Brazil. I think Neymar might be the edge for Brazil though. In the women's I cannot see past the USA. I did think maybe Sweden might upset the odds but not in the heat of South America.
harry_rag
I've been loving the back to back games, something to watch of an evening. Also offers the chance to spot the odd mispriced goalscorer odds if you wait for the line-ups and prices to materialise. Took the small stake allowed by PP on USA Women at 21/10 as the generally avaialble 6/4 or shorter looked about right. Had an interest In Brazil women at 13/2 (couldn't avail myself of the 7/1 one firm offered) so you can guess what final I'd like to see. Peralta should fill his boots for Mexico v Fiji tonight, assuming he starts, in which case it's a shame that Skybet seem to have taken all their goalscorer markets down. 5/4 for 2 or more, 10/3 the hat trick, 3/1 score both halves and evens to outscore Fiji all looked generous. Unusually short prices for those sort of markets but still decent if SPIN's player goal minutes quote of 110 to 115 is anything to go by. 888 were 13/4 for the hat trick which would do. Based on South Korea scoring 7 of their 8 goals after the hour mark against Fiji, I could make a case for Hills 10/11 for 2nd half to be the highest scoring, if that sort of bet tickles your fancy. Mexico score 5 goals and Peralta doesn't get on the score sheet once. Frustrating!
harry_rag
Yeah, he was content to just provide 3 assists on this occasion. Would do the same next time though, at those prices. Shame I didn't heed my own views on the most goals second half bet as well, as 5 of the 6 goals came after the break!

Always go with the instinctive bet decision! Reckon Peralta could be a punt for Player of the Tournament?
Niceguy
Now that some time has passed since the start of the Olympic games, do you think that any state can take more medals from the USA? Now it's like this: United States 9/8/9 - 26 China 8/3/6 -17 Japan 3/1/10 -

Niceguy
Great opportunity for brave punters.. In the semifinals of football Olympics. My prediction are: Brazil 1 and 3+ Germany 2 With odds of big bookies via mollybet, that can provide you big winnings! Odds you can see on the screenshot
