manckevin
Re: Fun Placepots Cheers MJ. Personally I like to put my own spin on things and although I know Boyle does get some good winners, I'd rather take the glory myself. That said, feel free to stick yours on here as well :)

manckevin
Re: Fun Placepots Both the afternoon placepots are down. Folkestone in Leg 2, and Newton Abbot in Leg 3 (after 7/1 and 13/2 winners) thanks to a stubborn horse who didn't feel like taking part, although, it was under orders, and so tough luck. FURIOUS!!! Folkestone - Out LEG 2 Newton Abbot - Out LEG 3 (see above) - would have been £51.00 had they withdrawn the horse before coming under orders as stake would have gone on to winning favourite Honan. manckevin
Re: Fun Placepots WEEK ONE STATISTICS 32 meetings 288 selections 138 placed 149 unplaced Stakes: £256.00 (to £1/line) Returns: £377.60 (to £1/line) Profit: £121.60 Strike Rate:6.25% (2/32) LEGS COMPLETE 6L 5L 4L 3L 2L 1L 0L 2 8 11 6 4 1 0 Not a bad first week really, helped, of course, by a healthy profit today. The strike rate will generally be around 6-10% by by reckoning. I know one site does a 24 line placepot with a success rate of around 20%. With the reduction in lines, this will, of course, have a knock on effect.
manckevin
Re: Fun Placepots Only one small change for Sunday, which is hardly a change at all. Doncaster Leg 6 doesn't see No. 3 run, so replace with favourite - which is what would happen anyway!

Master Joe
Re: Fun Placepots Hi Kevin, just a thought but why don't you just do one placepot a day with 64 lines (2 horses in each race) with a 20p stake costing £12.80. This is what I usually do and if both horses are placed in a race, your stake doubles so for example if both your selections are placed in Race 1 your stake doubles to 40p. Recently at Goodwood I did the above method, the placepot to a £1 stake was £88 but I got a brillant return of £260 as a result of both my horses being placed in certain races to a 20p stake. BRIGHTON - OUT Leg 2. 3 legs correct. THIRSK - OUT Leg 4. 5 legs correct. Had we got Leg 4, it would have been on course for 4 lines at £23.40 per line. WARWICK - OUT Leg 1. 2 legs correct. WINDSOR - OUT Leg 2. 4 legs correct. Tomorrow's online later, including a larger attempt for Royal Ascot at York.
