Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th Got a bit of a headache so I'm off for a lie down for an hour or so. Just to let people Know I am on 3 bets so far today. Chateauroux DNB @ 2.13 (5/10), AC Ajaccio DNB @ 2.06 (4/10) and Angers -0.25 @ 2.17 (4/10) Not that I like to post anything without reasoning, but I'll be back with detailed previews and explanations recently.

Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th I am on Auxerre -1 AH @ 6 with bet365.There are odds against for Auxerre for this game.Tours are on incredibly bad streak losing their last 6 games.Auxerre are not much better at the minute but they mix good and bad results. It is never easy to find a good AW in France 2,especially this year, but i am willing to place medium stakes on that because i think there is so much value in the away side here.Tours appear to be on free fall and my guess would be Auxerre to push them into the League National for next year.In their last 6 H2H meetings the away side have never won this fixture but i think there is great chance to see an Auxerre win today. 2:3.Bet voided.

Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th Ajaccio – Troyes The big factor for me here is that Olivier Pantaloni has been confirmed as new Ajaccio coach. He is a club legend, and during his previous stint here led them to an impossible promotion and an even more impossible couple of survivals in Ligue 1. Pantaloni has since got the absolute maximum out of a Tours squad under difficult circumstances and he can get the most out of this team too IMO. Taking on Troyes is perhaps a risk, but the promotion favourites aren’t the same sort of side away. They’re much more vulnerable on their travels. Team news slightly favours Ajaccio as well, so a piece of the DNB line is too tempting to resist tonight. Prediction: Ajaccio 1-0 Troyes Recommended bet: Ajaccio DNB @ 2.0 4/10 Angers – Dijon This is a ‘heavyweight’ contest between a couple of teams aiming for promotion. In many ways, both are very similar too – good at home but poor away. In all fairness to Dijon they have slightly improved upon their usual road form, but they still don’t convince me fully on their travels. I certainly don’t believe they can come to somewhere like Angers and win. The hosts have only conceded one goal in front of their own fans this season and should be able to make the most of William Remy’s suspension, which could ultimately cost Dijon dearly at the back. I like taking Angers for a few units on the -0.25 line, there’s a good chance they can win this one even if it won’t be easy. Prediction: Angers 2-0 Dijon Recommended bet: Angers -0.25 @ 2.10 4/10 Chateauroux – Laval Ok, so this might be a slightly dangerous bet because Roux aren’t the greatest of sides, but something is drastically wrong with the odds here. How can Laval be favourites? I mean seriously this is Laval we are talking about, who are one of the weakest sides in Ligue 2. They have only lost one match all season but have picked up a whopping 9/13 draws. Tonight they miss key striker Christian Bekamenga plus a couple of others and have to play on Chateauroux’s artificial pitch, which might be a real disadvantage. Roux are nothing special as I previously said, but they aren’t as bad as most people think and did at least beat Tours here recently. They are also boosted by the return to the dugout of manager Pascal Gastien who has been banned for a while. No way Roux should be the underdog here so I simply have to take the DNB line. Prediction: Chateauroux 1-0 Laval Recommended bet: Chateauroux DNB @ 2.10 5/10 Arles – Valenciennes VA had a great win on Monday night at home to Angers, but this might be a tougher test. They have to travel a long way south to a place nobody ever enjoys visiting, in a week where they’ve had less recovery time compared to their opponents. Arles are definitely a better team than their ligue position suggests, and it seems the bookies agree with me, making them a fairly strong favourite tonight. If their odds were a bit better then I’d have a piece, but I’ll leave this game alone as both teams are fairly volatile. Prediction: Arles 2-1 Valenciennes NO BET Sochaux – GFCA The hosts are unbeaten in quite a few games but their main issue is at Le Stade Bonal. Sochaux’s best results have come on the road and until they sort out their home form then I won’t be backing them here. As it happens, I think Les Lionceaux will eek out a tight win tonight but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see GFC get something. All in all a match to avoid I’d say. Prediction: Sochaux 1-0 GFCA NO BET Nimes – Niort Neither team has been impressive recently and this should be a dour and boring affair containing few goals. Without Ousmane Cissokho, Nimes have very little threat in the final third of the field and have been forced to play more conservatively of late. To lose 0-3 away at Clermont last week was fairly worrying for them. Niort meanwhile, have to hit back following a poor 1-4 loss at home to Nancy. They are another side who like to employ negative tactics and I’m guessing the main aim tonight will be to keep a clean sheet after conceding four times in their previous match. This is a 0-0 contender in my book and I’m not interested in betting on it. Prediction: Nimes 0-0 Niort NO BET Tours – Auxerre Tough one here because Tours did at least show some positive signs last week, somehow losing away at Laval despite dominating. Their squad is in great condition and traditionally they are a good home side. The problem is off the field there are issues and on the field they seem to fuck something up every week. Auxerre travel here as a pure enigma side, anything is possible with them. Literally they are the definition of a good/bad/ugly team, it just depends which face shows up on the night. I really don’t know which way this will go but gun to my head I’d say Auxerre can get something because Tours will find a way to shoot themselves in the foot. Prediction: Tours 1-1 Auxerre NO BET Orleans – Clermont After a solid start to the season, Orleans have definitely drifted of late. They are winless in 9 games and have lost some of their promotion momentum. Performances haven’t been too bad but their lack of goalscoring ability is a worry at times. In many ways they are a better side when they are behind because they have to go for it more. I would actually back Clermont +0.5 here but their away record puts me off (0-2-5). There’s no way I’d be backing Orleans at such a poor price and I think this will end up as a draw/away win. Prediction: Orleans 0-0 Clermont NO BET

Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th Angers 1-0 Dijon Ajaccio 2-1 Troyes Chateauroux 1-1 Laval Honesty, all 3 games were close and could've gone either way. Good comebacks from Ajaccio and Chateauroux to get respective win and draw. This really is such a close & tight ligue as tonight's results show. Just a bonus to get some profit out of it here.

Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th Brest – Le Havre Heavyweight contest here between a couple of promotion contenders. Brest are better positioned and a win here would actually take them to the top of the table. They’ve only lost something like 3 games since mid February and extremely difficult to beat. With a home record of 5-1-0 this season, clearly Le Stade Francis Le Ble is a complete fortress. Brest have only conceded one goal here and that was on the opening day of the campaign way back in August. No squad issues today and any injures are to players who have been out for a while. Le Havre aren’t in bad condition either. They miss a couple of players, but nothing significant here which should affect their performance. HAC are a fairly good team although they’ve lost 4/7 of their away matches this year. I think that Brest will just about have enough to win today. They will find a way to grind out something like a 1-0 win. The Bretons are physically better and this could be crucial because weather conditions aren’t expected to be great and the pitch could be in poor condition. If Brest were a decent price on a -0.25 line then I’d consider getting them, but not at their current odds-on price. 0-0 or 1-1 are possible runners, so unless the odds improve a bit, I’m no betting this contest. Prediction: Brest 1-0 Le Havre NO BET

Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th Looks like there is value in BTTS-Yes in Nancy-Cretei today.Nancy like to attack no matter at home or away. They've scored 10 in their last 5 games.Their defence cannot be difined as reliable either so given the H2H meetings 1.8 for BTTS-Yes looks decent. In their last 5 games,Cretei didn't score only against Angers on the road who are one of the promotion candidates. It's monday and it's League 2 so you never know how could end this game but i will be on both teams to score @ 1.8 with bet365. Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th Nansy - Creteil Nansy showed last week why they are the main contenders for the title as they won Niort 4-1 although they played with 10 players for over an hour. They are unbeaten for 8 games with 5 wins and at least 2 goals in 6 of them. Creteil after the great game against Lens and the qualification to the cup, lost to Sochaux last week and remained to the last places of the table just one poit above the relagation zone. Both teams score a lot of goals - Creteil also concedes many so today i'm going for Nansy to win + total Over 2.5 @ 2.54 Marathonbet

Re: Ligue 2 > November 7th - 10th

France Ligue 2: Nancy-Creteil

A point will take Nancy into the top three and the promotion spots, a win into second and a four goal victory will see them replace Brest at the top of the table, so a huge amount for them to play for. I was very keen on Nancy over the second half of last season as many of you will probably recall and was especially taken with Jeff Louis (pictured) who looked far too good for Ligue 2 and found his way to Standard Liege in the summer, who probably see him as a good investment and a player they will turn a profit on.

Having come so close to promotion last time round and losing Louis, I was not quite sure how this season would pan out for them, so left them alone through the early games, but we did discuss briefly their last home start against Le Havre .... Two inform sides who are unbeaten in six and five starts respectively. We have talked a lot about the visitors already this season and previews from two recent games, including their 1-0 defeat of Arles last time out, are reproduced below the "good luck" signoff. A win for either team would take them level on points with Brest and Troyes in the promotion places, just two adrift of leader Dijon, many Ligue 2 viewers would have named that trio as the three stronger teams in the division pre season and possible these as the next two and for once, we have the cream rising to the top early and we could be in for a classic L2 campaign. Nancy and Brest have drawn a lot of games, but I suspect it will be the teams who are bravest in the h2h "six pointers" who will ultimately prevail and I hope we will see both go for it tonight. Last five meetings have seen both teams score in each, with four going "over" and I hope to see a similar level of entertainment tonight. Despite getting the points, HAC rode their luck at times at home to Angers, who enjoyed great success down both flanks and enjoyed little luck in front of goal. HAC get both Leroy and Ikoko back today, but are without three goal striker Moussa Sao and central defender Steven Fortes and that leaves them a little more vulnerable through the centre and if Nancy have as much joy out wide as Angers, that will be especially dangerous and short of options upfront, aside from top scorer Mickael Le Bihan, but Bonnet, Leroy and Gamboa are usually good for 5-6 each per year and only have one between them, so are overdue . Nancy have won the last seven home meetings, including a 2-1 win here in the cup earlier this season and if they were to win, I would expect a similar scoreline. Both to score and best value for me at these odds, is with the "over".

That did indeed play out perfectly, with a repeat of the 2-1 scoreline and they followed up with a fine 4-1 road win at Niort last weekend, Nancy are on an eight match unbetaen run and it is hard to pick too many holes in their recent form, although if I tried and of course I am going to, it would be that they have kept just a single clean sheet in that sequence and given the way that Creteil play (more shortly) and the fact the three h2h meetings last season ended in score draws 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3 , it is easy to make a case for BTS as a starting point.

We discussed Creteil a LOT last month and did quite well taking "overs" in their games, although we came up short in the last of those previews, which you can read at the foot of the email. However, it did end 1-1 and they have since lost 2-1 at home to Souchaux, so both teams have now scored in 15 of Creteil's last 17 starts.

Hosts are without suspended central defender Joel Sami, who is amongst the very first names on the team sheet, the only game he has missed this season was a 2-2 draw with Auxerre ( can you see where I am going with this ?) and he only missed two last season, which included a 3-2 home loss to Tours.

The visitors are missing defensive midfielder Ibrahima Seck, he has sat out ten games over the last two seasons through which Creteil have scored an average of 1.5 goals and conceded 1.4 , but that is more or less what they do anyway.

I feel ( no prizes for guessing) that both will score, but offensively Nancy look good and the win is very valuable to them , especially with a trip to promotion rivals Troyes immediately after the international break. However, something like 2-2 would not surprise me and I will opt for 1.5 units "over" 2.75 goals 2.26 asian line/Sportmarket.

I have seen 3.75-4.0 for Creteil to score over 1.5 goals something they did on both visits last season (one friendly) and that makes some appeal given that Nancy rarely keep a clean sheet.

Take care if betting in running and this is all square at the break, Nancy have drawn all three home starts in which they were level at HT, Creteil have drawn all four on the road when level after 45 minutes. Last season Nancy went on to draw 60% ( 9 from 15) of all games when level at the break.

I must admit, this 2-2 draw keeps call me !

Nancy : Nardi, Ndy Assembe, Cuffaut, Lenglet, Diagne, Muratori, Amadou, Lusamba, Cétout, Iglesias, Walter, Karaboué, Coulibaly, Dalé, Dembélé, Hadji. Créteil : Kerboriou, Merville - Augusto, Diarrassouba, Diedhiou C., Ilunga, Montaroup - Dabo, Dias, Genest, Lafon, Lesage, Ndoye - Andriatsima, Essombé, Piquionn
