Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd [h=1]Dijon-Ajaccio[/h]This is the first time these two teams meet each other since 2012. Dijon look like a top 5 team and they are lading the table but I am not really fond of their performance and with such display on pitch, sooner or later will experience a downside. Ajaccio who came from top flight, experience some problems but in general they are a solid team who is gang to rise in the table sooner or later. After coach was fired, they are in quite good form, unbeaten in October and threw out strong Montpellier as visitors earlier this week. Quite good momentum for them and no reason to stop today. Tip: 2 with odd 6,30

Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Hello everyone. New around but i try to write my thoughts for tonight games. First of all, i watch Ligue 2 for quite a while. I have 3 games for tonight Dijon - Ac Ajjacio Dijon are a strong team home, win most of their matches by 1-0 and i think this match will be the same, a close victory or maybe a draw with few goals. My tips: 1; X; 0-2 goals; 1-0 corect scor Troyes - Orleans Troyes is a top 5 team like Dijon, strong at home and good performances overall. Orleans can make surprises sometime. I don't think lots of goals will be scored in this match but i think Troyes will win closely and if Orleans can make a surprise i think it will be 1-1 corect score. My tips: 1; 1-1 Creteil - Sochaux The best team away Sochaux meets a good home team. Both have tendency to score goals and i see an even game tonight with goals from both teams. My tips: GG; X; 1-1 Gl all and waiting for more info from meatman before making the final decisions.

Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Auxerre – Brest The visitors have only lost 3 ligue matches since February, so obviously it’s not a good idea to bet against them. Brest on the road are usually very negative, hard to break down and just have the knack of accumulating points. This will be a tough test because Auxerre are a fairly good side themselves, but I couldn’t bet on the home side due to Brest’s great record. It’s worth noting that Auxerre played a cup match on Tuesday night away at Bastia. They totally rotated their side so physical freshness won’t be an issue. Maybe preparation will though, travelling to Corsica would’ve taken a good couple of days out of their schedule. A draw 0-0 or 1-1 looks likely tonight but it’s not a match I want to bet in. Prediction: Auxerre 0-0 Brest NO BET Clermont – Nimes I actually fancy Clermont to win, but their odds are poor. There is great potential in this side but I’m always worried about their manager’s tactics. Corinne Diacre has made some baffling decisions at times this year and they are terrible at closing games out. It’s worth noting that Clermont played in the cup on Tuesday night and pushed Caen to extra time, losing 3-4. It was with a very weakened side though, so physically there shouldn’t be any issues. Still, it was such a heartbreaking defeat it could serve as a mental blow. Despite this, I think they’ll be too good for Nimes. I really don’t rate the visitors at all and Les Crocos also missing a few players for various reasons. I’d love to bet on Clermont but their price isn’t good enough and they aren’t a team I can fully trust. Prediction: Clermont 1-0 Nimes NO BET Dijon – Ajaccio There’s a lot to like about Dijon here. They have been the strongest home team in ligue 2 over the last couple of years and they still have a 100% record at Le Stade Gaston Gerard this season too. Quite simply put, they are one hell of a force in front of their own fans and have to be respected. In general, DFCO have played good football this season, although were poor last week at Troyes. Maybe I can forgive them that though because their opponents are pretty strong themselves. Tonight is a match they should be winning fairly comfortably. Ajaccio are just a mediocre side, although are now perhaps a dark horse due to them sacking Christian Bracconi. Since he was fired they beat Valenciennes in the ligue and Montpellier in the cup. Maybe playing 3 days ago will be a hinderance tonight though and this is a really difficult test. Dijon’s odds aren’t attractive enough to back pre match but I’d be looking for IR potential here, because ultimately they should get the business done. Prediction: Dijon 2-0 Ajaccio NO BET GFCA – Chateauroux This is another match which should end up as a routine home win, but unfortunately once again the odds are terrible. GFCA are as short as 1.60 with some bookies which is pretty ridiculous really. Chateauroux are a poor team but they aren’t that bad. GFCA are a fucking promoted side for christ sakes! Having said that, they have proved to be exceptional at home and this is a really difficult place to visit. Roux are renowned for their atrocious away stats and have only won something like 2 of their last 35 on the road. Maybe there could be some IR potential here too, because ultimately GFC should win. History suggests backing mediocre sides @ these sort of prices in ligue 2 is the way to the poorhouse though, so I’ll refrain from staking anything pre match. Prediction: GFCA 2-0 Chateauroux NO BET Laval – Tours I have this pencilled in as my shock of the night. Did you know both teams have only won 2 of their last 10 games? The difference is that Laval have drawn their other 8 in this sequence and Tours have lost their other 8. The big question here is just how bad are Tours? They’ve lost 9 out of 12 games but only once have they been beaten by more than a one goal margin. They aren’t a good side obviously, but perhaps not as bad as everyone perceives them to be. Laval have historically struggled in matches against poorer teams and have a number of factors against them tonight. Firstly, they played just 3 days ago in the cup at Nantes and got smashed 0-4. This was a blow because they fielded a very strong side that night. They also have key striker Christian Bekamenga injured here and without him they often lack any threat upfront. I don’t think the team will be focused or be physically fresh, so it’s a great chance for Tours. Can they take advantage? Yes, I think they can. This is a club with issues but they have a genuine chance tonight. Their away form is totally rotten but it’s not as if they have far to travel for this fixture. Laval really won’t be at their best and a draw or away win wouldn’t surprise me. I’m even going to have a nibble of Tours +0.5 because it looks a nice line. There is no way in a million years Laval should be odds on at home to anyone in this ligue. I wouldn’t dare stake big money on this bet because it’s fraught with danger, but I just feel the bookies are dangling a carrot too big for me to resist. Prediction: Laval 1-2 Tours Recommended bet: Tours +0.5 @ 2.07 3/10 Le Havre – Arles Urgggghhh! Yet another home team I fancy but the price isn’t right. Actually, this is quite close to a potential bet for me. If I could get Le Havre something like @ 1.80 on a -0.25 line I’d back them. The Normans are a pretty strong team this season, especially at home where they’re difficult to beat. I have said for a while that Arles are a team to watch out for and they’ll improve sooner or later. Well, they won last week and then even beat Reims away in the midweek cup, playing extremely well in the process. The problem is they fielded a pretty strong side and were pushed to extra time. Just to rub salt into the wound they had to play most of extra time with only 10 men. So physically there could be issues, mentally they are coming down off a high and now they have to face a pretty decent team on the road. I do like the hosts but I’d need a slightly better price to back them, so for now it’s a no bet situation. Prediction: Le Havre 2-1 Arles NO BET Troyes – Orleans Just to continue the theme of the day, here is yet another home side I fancy but who I won’t bet yet due to poor odds. Troyes proved last week that they are still a major force in this ligue when they beat Dijon 1-0. At times they played great football in that match facing strong opposition. So tonight should be a piece of cake right? Well, maybe not because Orleans can be potentially awkward. They have the potential to park the bus, be negative and frustrate Troyes,. Historically, in recent years ESTAC have struggled facing this type of opponent. If you take out their 4-0 win at GFC and their 4-1 win at home to Niort, Troyes have only actually scored 9 goals in 10 games! This is a poor return and they’ve struggled to break certain sides down this season. In the end I think they’ll get through this Orleans wall, but it might take until the 2nd half and they might only win something like 1-0. Could be another IR potential here but pre match I’m not interested. Prediction: Troyes 1-0 Orleans NO BET Creteil – Sochaux This is a fairly difficult match to predict in terms of actual result. Creteil are a team I rate, but they were in cup action on Tuesday and won, so might be slightly less focused and a little fatigued. Sochaux are just an average side but clearly love playing away from home where they are still unbeaten. Les Lionceaux have picked up 11 of their 17 points on the road (from just 5 fixtures) and their counter attacking style is probably the main reason for this, in addition to less pressure. This should be an open encounter and I like backing over 2.25 goals. Every single Creteil match this season (ligue and cup) has contained at least 2 goals. They are always a threat to score themselves, but rarely keep clean sheets. Sochaux’s away games have tended to be much more open and just 1 of their 5 have had less than 2 goals scored in them. I don’t think the chances of losing this bet fully is very high. Possibly a more sensible line to bet would be over 2.0 goals, but I prefer the bigger price on a 2.25. I like it enough to risk 4 units. Prediction: Creteil 2-2 Sochaux Recommended bet: Over 2.25 goals @2.11 4/10

Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Creteil 1-2 Sochaux - I didn't actually watch this match but I'd given up the bet with 25 mins left. If it'd ended 1-1 I'd have been delighted with a half loss, but to actually win from 0-0 with 13 mins left is incredible. Laval 2-1 Tours - Honestly Tours were the right side here but somehow they lost it. Screwed themselves by going a man down after just 35 mins. Despite this, played well and were arguably the better outfit. This is why you should never bet on a bad team, because they often find ridiculous ways to fuck themselves up! But I didn't listen to my own advice!!! Ah well...it was only a 3 unit play. I personally managed to win also with Dijon and Le Havre in running. I'm sure some of you others managed to maybe get on GFCA, Troyes and maybe Clermont?? Hoping a number of you guys managed to cash in tonight!

Ok. End of the day. A so-so day. Dijon very strong performance at home, i watched the entire game, were very solid, a top ligue 2 team. I've won on straight bet but lost the other 3 options... Troyes Orleans...a home win as expected, won the main bet..lost the back-up is ok. Creteil Sochaux....i was so close to hit all 3 but sochaux scored in 85min on the counter and this was all....anyway sochaux are a solid team expecially away and is a team to watch in next games. Also i've put my money on Le havre 1 and H1, the score 2-0 won me both bets and a nice profit. Hope to hit more in next week :)

Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Meatman, I've got quite a story to tell about this night in Ligue 2 :) I was at work and was eager to see your picks, but the internet was down for a while and didn't manage to actually play those two bets ( I saw them about 5 minutes before kick-off). So in the 21st minute when I managed to load Pinnacle and saw that the over2,25 line was priced at 3,25 :D then I took that :D As I never do live bets which contain the draw whils still 0-0 (like it was the case now) and the odds was a joke, too, I gave up on backing Tours away, I said so is life, fuck it, I just didn't arrive in time for that. This way I won with a much better line for the over and avoided the risky loss :D Perfect day!

Now thinking about that, wasn't it undervalue to bet on over on a scoreless match in the 20th minute in Ligue 2? Do you have a stat that how many matches go over2,5 after a goalless first 20 minutes? Or you feel it is irrelevant that they don't score early? I'm much interested about your opinion after you saw the highlights of the game.

I remember a friend once who backed under 2.5 in a Porto match and it was 0-0 entering the 90th min. They scored 3 in injury time to fuck him up.

Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Thank you to everyone especially meatman. My accu 5x1 was 15.41 altogether. Won it. Really amazing with the Creteil match. At 73mins, I was thinking, oh probably lost the accu! Couldn't believe what happened. Thank you very very much.

Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Niort – Nancy Both teams are close to full strength for this match. Niort miss RB Tristan Lahaye, whilst Nancy miss their LB Vincent Muratori. The visitors are also without striker Hadji, although he’s been missing for a few weeks now so it shouldn’t matter too much. Nancy played extremely well on Monday night beating Le Havre 2-1 and really seem to be hitting some form. They’ve won 4 of their last 6 games and seem like a real frontrunner for promotion. Niort is never an easy place to visit though and they are still unbeaten at home. Under Regis Brouard you know what you’re going to get with Les Chamois. they are likely to be boring and negative, hard to break down. This match won’t be a classic and something like 0-0 or 1-1 is extremely likely. Nancy would be happy with a point and so would Niort, so my prediction is for it to end all square. I don’t however, fancy betting on this encounter because it’s such a tight one to call. Prediction: Niort 0-0 Nancy NO BET
