Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 20th September Chorley v Hednesford Chorley have been drifting for this game although I am not sure why. They may have lost 2-0 to Worcester last Saturday, but in general they have had a cracking start to the season especially at home where they have won three and drawn once. Hednesford haven’t had the strongest start to the season and although they have only lost to AFC Fylde in their last six games, they haven’t looked the same team who made the play-offs last season. They were set to lose to a ten man Guiseley last Saturday until they scored in injury time. Chorley look the stronger side to me and are worth backing at BetVictor’s 21/20. Guiseley v Oxford City For a side sitting quite high in the table Guiseley aren’t in great form having won just once in their last six games. That victory came against Brackley who are currently one of the bottom of the Vanarama North table. Granted as I mention above they were probably slightly unlucky to not win last week, but they face a very much in form Oxford City. Two weeks ago they lost 8-1 at home to AFC Fylde then on the Tuesday night they won 7-2 at Boston! It is hard to imagine that too many sides have ever had results like that in the history of football. They have followed that up with two more victories though including beating Bradford Park Avenue 5-0 on Monday night. Granted Guiseley are unbeaten in three themselves now, but there form just doesn’t look as strong as Oxford’s. To me these prices are based on the fact Oxford finished so low down in the table last year, rather than recent results and that makes them value. Some smaller bookies are going 11/5, but BetVictor are best at 85/40 out of the larger firms. Leamington v Harrogate The only reason Simon Weaver is still in charge of Harrogate is the fact his Dad is chairman, because given the budget and the quality of the squad they have had in the last couple of seasons they have flopped. Going into this season they looked to have their strongest squad yet, but they are currently in 18th place in the table having just won two of their first nine games. Granted those two wins have come in their last four games, but they were well beaten by Solihull last weekend 4-0. Leamington meanwhile are in pretty decent form bar a 3-0 loss against Colwyn Bay four games ago. They lost to Barrow last weekend, but given they are 6/5 for the title they performed with great credit when going down 2-1. Leamington have it in them to win this and BetVictor are biggest at 11/8. Maidenhead v Havant & Waterlooville I am saving what I am hoping is the best till last and Havant are my first maximum bet of the season. They look a fantastic bet at BetVictor’s 11/8. Havant had a very slow start to the season and it looked like they might be in for another season of underachievement. Things have taken a big turn for the better though having won five of their last six games. Granted four of those victories came against sides in the bottom half of the table, but last Saturday the win against Basingstoke proved they should be in for a play-off bid this season. They have improved to a pretty strong looking squad in the last couple of weeks having signed Alan Connell and in Brian Stock signing someone who helped Burnley into the Premier League last season. Granted he only made nine appearances, but even so it is a massive signing for them. Having already got coverage of Bromley and Whitehawk in the outright market I added Havant to them this week and 12/1 e/w at Paddy Power looks a big price given the squad. Maidenhead have only one once in their last six and have lost four in that time including their last two. They were well beaten 4-1 last Saturday by St Albans even though they went a goal up and I really do think Havant should be shorter than they are for this game.

A word of caution re: Chorley, they are missing a fair few key players though injury & suspensions, especially in defence at present.

Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 20th September Tamworth with major injury problems before the match against Colwyn Bay. They just sacked their manager Belford and two defenders will be caretakers untill they find a new manager. They miss about 5 players from last weeks match, and they also released two players this week. There was only 12 players in tuesdays training. Colwyn havent lost away jet and actually they perfoming well. I think there a massiv value on Colwyn Bay , betvalue about 121% . Odds 2.75 Ladbrokes .

Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 20th September Bath City to beat Eastbourne Borough 9/4 Great price for Bath to clean up ! 'Boro's early season form has nose dived and they were comfortably dismissed at home by Hemel last time. Bath were excellent winning away at Wealdstone – just feel the price is too big to ignore. Also agree with the above on Havant & Colwyn Bay.

Interesting Gloucester are on your shortlist. I was half tempted to tip us up. We have got rid of some of the dead wood this week and brought 4 new players in which will hopefully make us stronger. We do need to improve on the last couple of efforts though.

Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 20th September Was a pretty comfortable afternoon if those of you who followed my max bet on Havant. They got an early goal and added to it later in the half. Hope some of you got on the 12s for the title as well as they went 2nd with today's win and I think they will go close. Chorley also won although Oxford were stuffed and Leamington also lost. Only one of YFF team's won although it was Hyde at decent odds and great tipping from Ricay to go with Bath who won at a cracking 9/4.
