July 28 - August 3

Re: July 28 - August 3 I think Goffin at 18-1 is a good longshot bet to win Kitzbuel. Mighty mite has an 15 match winning streak going(all on clay) and has seen his ranking well back in the top 100 now. He has a 1-0 H2H vs Kohli in the 2nd round. Get by him and he could sail into the semis for a possible bet out.Little concerned about travel fatigue but he does not play until Tuesday. He handled the Jarkko today and that is saying quite a bit winning in hostile territory. You know he must be excited to be in a main draw after slugging it out in the minors for the past month.

Re: July 28 - August 3 Back David Goffin to win ATP Kitzbuhel for a 2/10 stake at 21.25 with Pinnacle Back Dominic Thiem to win ATP Kitzbuhel for a 2/10 stake at 19.50 with Betsson I'll go for young talent in Kitzbuhel. Goffin is on a very impressive comeback run at the moment and is certainly capable of doing well on the main tour, while I also trust Thiem to bounce back from that disappointing loss against Troicki now that he'll also have home conditions on his side. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Lucie Safarova to win WTA Washington for a 3/10 stake at 6.00 with BetVictor Back Ekaterina Makarova to win WTA Washington for a 2/10 stake at 10.00 with Skybet Chances are that Safarova and Makarova are going to build on their Wimbledon runs in the upcoming part of the season and the Washington line-up doesn't feature any of the real powerhouses, so I'm happy to go with them at these prices. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Samantha Stosur to win WTA Stanford for a 1/10 stake at 41.00 with Bet365 Back Andrea Petkovic to win WTA Stanford for a 1/10 stake at 36.61 with Pinnacle Back Angelique Kerber to win WTA Stanford for a 2/10 stake at 12.02 with Pinnacle It's hard to trust Serena Williams right now, so I'll go for Petkovic and Stosur in the first half, while Angelique Kerber looks like the obvious pick in the second one. The German hasn't done much wrong recently and she's one of the very few players that have what it takes to beat the world's number one in a big match, so she looks like a better bet than, say, Agnieszka Radwanska. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Jan-Lennard Struff to beat Jiri Vesely for a 7/10 stake at 2.14 with Pinnacle Jiri Vesely seems to be playing with no confidence whatsoever right now, having lost four ATP-level matches in a row and throwing away some really promising positions during that stretch. Struff has been much better recently, so, unless fatigue gets to him (he played in the German tennis league yesterday, beating Delbonis in straight sets), he should have a real chance in this one. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Kurumi Nara (+1.5 sets) to beat Madison Keys for a 6/10 stake at 2.16 with Pinnacle Back Kurumi Nara to beat Madison Keys for a 3/10 stake at 3.66 with Pinnacle Finally, I'll have a play on Nara against Keys. We haven't seen Keys in action since her injury-related retirement in Wimbledon and that lack of match practice could be a problem for her in this match-up, as Nara will force her to play that one extra shot more often than not. When on song, Keys should be able to crush Nara with her big hitting, but chances are that she won't be at her best in her comeback match, so I wouldn't dare to write Nara off completely here. Re: July 28 - August 3

Any thoughts on Rosol this week Czech?
Typologically, the conditions could be a good fit, but it should be noted that he had to stay in Umag until Sunday (he won the doubles). Looking at the draw, it should be fairly straightforward for him early on unless he starts to misfire for some reason, but I've heard an interview with him recently and he claimed that he wants to focus on the American hard courts more than before, so I am not too sure about backing him with that in mind. A long week in Umag, a desire to play better during the American hard court swing....that could spell trouble really.

Re: July 28 - August 3 Estrella /+1,5/-Kamke I like this guy from Dominica republic. He had excellent tournament in Bogota where Bernard Tomic cracked him in semifinal. After that he went out immediately in 1st Round in Atlanta against Marinko Matosevic and nov his opponent is Tobias Kamke. German guy is changing surface and even he is probably better on hard maybe he could have some problems with surface and let at least one set go. Any opinion about this match?

Re: July 28 - August 3 Kamke's certainly the better hard court player of the two and I think that he'll get past Estrella at the end of the day. He's not one you would usually want to back to win 2-0 and that applies to this case as well, so yeah, Estrella might sneak in a set at some point if he plays really well. The odds look pretty fair to me, however, so I'm not going to have a play myself.

Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Alexander Zverev to beat Diego Sebastian Schwartzman for a 8/10 stake at 1.84 with Pinnacle Fancy Zverev despite his loss against Montanes in Umag. The conditions in Kitzbuhel should be more to his liking and Schwartzman seems to be a fairly unimpressive run-of-the-mill challenger player, so I trust Zverev to get back to winning ways today. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back James Duckworth (+3) to beat Steve Johnson for a 6/10 stake at 2.05 with Pinnacle Back James Duckworth to beat Steve Johnson for a 3/10 stake at 2.86 with Pinnacle Steve Johnson has never done anything noteworthy in Washington, so he could easily struggle against James Duckworth, who's been playing really well recently and who's just won a challenger in Lexington, beating James Ward and Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Garbine Muguruza Blanco to beat Dominika Cibulkova for a 6/10 stake at 2.61 with Pinnacle Cibulkova is the defending champion in Stanford and that's why I'm going to keep the stakes low for this one, but she's been in a decline for quite some time now and there are no guarantees that she's going to bounce back this week, so I fancy Muguruza Blanco, who's still improving with every single match by the looks of things, to have a real chance of upsetting the world's number twelve today. What do you think about Tomic and Anderson?
Saw Anderson against de Bakker last week and he was really poor, wouldn't be surprised if he lost against Donskoy today to be honest. Istomin was also quite poor against Lacko last week from what I know, so Tomic should take that one after crushing Gonzalez yesterday, although it probably won't be as one-sided as that match.

Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Kurumi Nara to beat Zarina Diyas for a 7/10 stake at 1.94 with Pinnacle I, for one, would have Nara as a slight favorite in this one, so I am happy to back her at such a decent price. She appeared to be fine against Keys, having beaten the American in straight sets, and I'd still rate her as the better player of the two, so chances are that she'll be able to add a second victory to her Washington tally today. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Vasek Pospisil (-3) to beat Rajeev Ram for a 7/10 stake at 1.90 with Pinnacle Rajeev Ram has been pretty poor lately from what I know and even weaker players seem to be able to get under his skin, so Pospisil should be way too strong for him in Washington. He's already firing on all cylinders in the doubles and this looks like a great chance for him to get back into a groove in the singles as well, so I expect a composed performance from the Canadian today. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back John Isner (-2.5) to beat Steve Johnson for a 8/10 stake at 1.78 with Pinnacle This looks like a match that Isner - with his current momentum - should be able to storm through, so I'm happy to back him on the 2.5 games line. Johnson just isn't good enough to not get broken eventually. Czech, what do you think about Sorona Cirstea - Bojana Jobanovski?

Re: July 28 - August 3 Cirstea has been very suspect for quite some time now, but Jovanovski might be feeling some fatigue after that run in Baku and her first round victory wasn't very convincing, so I'd be happy to stay away from that match. If pressed, the overs would be my pick.

Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Venus Williams to beat Viktoria Azarenka for a 8/10 stake at 1.83 with Pinnacle Viktoria Azarenka is yet to fully bounce back after that long injury break, so I am happy to against her at this price today. Venus Williams is certainly not the easiest opponent for a comeback match and she hasn't done much wrong lately either, so I would have her around the 1.65 mark here. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Vania King (+1.5 sets) to beat Christina McHale for a 7/10 stake at 1.84 with Pinnacle I don't think that there's any sort of a gap between the two quality-wise and McHale's victory over Stephens probably needs to be taken with a grain of salt, so I'll back King on the plus set handicap at such a decent price. Re: July 28 - August 3 Back Lleyton Hewitt to beat Milos Raonic for a 7/10 stake at 3.11 with Pinnacle Milos Raonic was quite lucky to survive against Jack Sock yesterday, so I can definitely see him losing against Hewitt today. The Australian has the right playing style for challenging Raonic and he has beaten him before, so everything above 3.00 looks worth taking to me.
