Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June 3pts Germany vs Cameroon - Under 2.5 goals 7/5 BetVictor I would expect Germany to win this game but I don’t think the result is the overriding importance for them in this match. This one is about getting game time into as many people as possible and making sure they don’t pick up any more injuries so there may just be a lack of tempo to this game which may well equate to a lack of goals too. Cameroon may just be the same so under 2.5 goals looks a touch big here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/germany-vs-cameroon-betting-goals-may-be-short-in-supply-in-monchengladbach 4pts France (-1) to beat Paraguay 13/10 Boylesports France looked decent enough against Norway and you would think the intensity and skill levels will go up now that they have been together for a while and I think they will come through this match with a win. Paraguay are a strong side but the French have that little extra craft and quality to open the South Americans up and I see them winning this by at least a couple of goals. I noticed a lot of the friendlies so far have been low-scoring ... http://uk.soccerway.com/international/world/friendlies/2014/friendlies-1/r21001/

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Tuesday previews: 3pts Austria to beat Czech Rep (DNB) 6/4 Skybet These two sides are both on an upwards curve and if the Czechs were at full strength this would have the potential to be a very tight match but given that Vrba has chosen to pick a much younger, inexperienced squad for the game I think Austria have to be a touch of value in this match. The Austrians don’t lose many these days and they have a couple of dangerous players who could combine to nick this one for them. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/czech-republic-vs-austria-betting-austria-can-edge-out-inexperienced-czech-side 6pts Brazil to win to nil vs Panama 5/6 Paddy Power I can’t see this being anything other than a home win. Brazil will be ramping up the intensity in their matches now with their opening game in the World Cup just nine days after this match and even though they are missing a couple from the engine room I expect them to have way too much for a Panama side who I’m sure will be game but ultimately nowhere near the class of this Brazil side. I’m amazed Brazil to win to nil is 5/6 but I’m happy to get stuck into that especially as they have only conceded once in their last five matches. Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Ecuador - England 1X 2.00 various bookies 10 units This is Ecuador's last match before the WC, a few days ago they lost 3-1 to Mexico, but with a starting eleven featuring many reserve players. On Wednesday evening (or afternoon by local time) Reinaldo Rueda will field the strongest lineup featuring Luis Antonio Valencia, Christian Noboa and Felipe Caceido among the more familiar names. Roy Hodgson stated that he'll give a starting berth to players with fewer minutes in the friendly against Peru. In my opinion South American sides approach this sort of matches with a lot more movation and this could be the key for the outcome.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June I forgot to mention that England have one more friendly, against Honduras, where they'll try their optimal starting eleven. Today's training for England was cancelled due to very bad weather conditions; they'll have a day less to acclimatize. Ecuador's match against Mexico was also played in the US so they have already been there for about a week. For Ecuador this match represents a challenge very close to their two most difficult and important games at the WC - against France and Switzerland.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Don't disagree with the above, think it will be a fairly low key game - only likely to be 25k present in a stadium that holds 75k too due to the local kick-off time and price of tickets - wouldn't surprise me to see a draw. Was surprised to get this price last night, wasn't around for long but it rose from 1.66-1.7-1.75 over a couple of hours. Panama aren't actually a bad side, I imagine they are one of the most improved nations in the world over the last 10 years ranking wise, but this is Brazil and a clear step up from what they usually face. Scholari won't be fielding Thiago Silva, Paulinho or Fernandinho in the game but they will control the ball for 90% of the game and are very reliable friendly-wise in terms of results, even with a bit of rotation they should be more than comfortable at home and against a side ranked some 40 places below them. Brazil to Win to Nil - 1.75 - coral - 10 Points Bit risky this one as Chile looked hopeless at the back against Egypt and followed their reputation as great going forward but ropey defensively. They got a bit of a kicking in the press about their defending in the game - and from striker Sanchez who won them the game basically - and if they defend like that in the tournament they will be making an early journey home as they certainly won't get out of the group regardless of how good they are going forward. They might rotate a bit too for this game but against such a poor side they should have enough. As I wrote before the Uruguay game N.I have had a mass of withdrawals for these games and are fielding a pretty inexperienced side. They will probably have more defensive work to do in this game than they had against Uruguay as Chile are a more typical South American outfit whereas Uruguay are quite regimented and more European in shape and tactics. Think N.I had one shot in the game against Uruguay and now haven't scored in 11 consecutive away friendlies, that alone is enough for me to back Chile to win to nil certainly not as high stake as I did for the previous match but I just don't think they have the quality to create any decent chances and with 4 regular strikers out no-one to finish them off. Chile to Win to Nil - 1.9 - bet365 - 4 Points Chile -1.0AH - 1.5 - betinternet - 5 Points

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June 4pts Ecuador vs England - Under 2.5 goals 4/5 Ladbrokes I don’t think this will be a classic game. England still have another match to play after this and having only flown out to Miami on Sunday there could still be a bit of jet lag in their legs. Ecuador should play nice, patient football but there isn’t an obvious cutting edge to their game so I don’t expect this match to be full of goals. In fact I don’t see more than 2.5 here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/ecuador-vs-england-betting-england-s-first-miami-outing-unlikely-to-be-high-scoring 5pts Netherlands (-1) to beat Wales 10/11 Boylesports Although Wales have improved under Coleman I’m struggling to see anything other than a comfortable Netherlands win here no matter which side Louis van Gaal puts out. I think the Dutch are a cut above Wales and even their second string looks strong enough to do a job on a Wales side who are missing the entire spine of their side in this match. We’ve not seen many comfortable wins this week but I think this will be one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/netherlands-vs-wales-betting-the-dutch-can-ease-to-victory-in-amsterdam

So you are tipping Ecuador or Draw @ 2.0. What is your sources for Ecuador team news? I searched myself but couldn't find any news about their line-up (although I probably wasn't looking in the right place).

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Chile will re-introduce Valdivia into the picture for this one who is their number 10 and has been out a while. He is the creative outlet for the pacey attackers in the side. Chile have won their last 9 matches at home !! 4 being qualifiers and the other 5 friendlies... all set up for the "hometown heroes" to leave home with a bang by putting a few past an inexperienced NI side. That's the script anyway. Only downside is the warrior (Vidal) isn't likely to feature.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Netherlands hosting Wales. Bale, ramsey, williams, vokes many regulars will be out. Coach Van gaal is dissapointed to play against such a weak side cause he insisted that bale and co would play when they made the deal. Anyways, Might be soms changes in our camp as well, but we have a quality bench. Fer will play instead of de guzman cause of a minor injury no big deal there. Both same type of players. Fer brings in even more strength in midfield. I think the backline will be the same as last week or maybe only Kongolo for martins indi cause he played so poor. Upfront, I don't think he will change much Van persie needs rythm for sure maybe robben will start from the bench but huntelaar or Depay can do really well against a weakened wales side. This should really be a walk over. Another Home game for the dutch team so they will be well prepared for this game and and they often beat weak teams comfortable at their own stadium. Home win is a banker for me also -1.5 is very likely to happen. Netherlands to win and over 2.5 goals might be good too! But I don't know if Wales is capable of scoring without all these regulars. But on the other hand every player in the dutch team will be eager to perform especially the subs. 3th game with the new formation and things should go a bit more smoothly. They should have beaten Ghana by atleast a 2 or 3 goal margin so I expect them to cover these lines easy to be honest. Goodluck guys!

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Gibraltar - Malta Malta DNB 1.36 Bet365 Gibraltar's most important player in the prestigious draws with Estonia and Slovakia, Danny Higginbotham, has retired from football. Overall, Malta are a much more experienced side with players of higher quality. They usually take friendlies against other so called "small nations" very seriously - 6 wins in the last 6 games, the last defeat coming away to Faroe islands back in 2004. Malta's squad includes their best players. Algeria - Romania Algeria DNB 1.85 Bet365 Looking at the two squads Algeria's look much better with players from clubs from the top leagues. Romania's team is based mainly on players from local clubs and I find the Romanian championship slighly weaker than it used to be a few years back. The last two friendly matches for Algeria have been against European opposition of more or less similar level - Armenia and Slovenia, and both were won with 3-1 and 2-0 respectively. This is Algeria's last friendly before the WC, while Romania are preparing for EC qualification. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algeria_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romania_national_football_team Netherlands - Wales Netherlands -1.5 1.725 Bet365 Wales are without the three most important players in each position - captain Ashley Williams, midfielder Aaron Ramsey and winger Gareth Bale. That's the spine ripped off from the team. Even if the Netherlands field some of their more inexperienced players, that should be an easy home win. I am placing the three bets in a combo priced at 4.35 Bet365 5 units

Do you have a source for the team news on the Chile team' date=' Toto?[/quote'] Sorry mate I usually do a Google news search for my team news and then sort results by date. So most sources would be newspaper sites if that helps.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June FT 2-0. They dominated the game overall and should have scored more imo but the lines covered as expected. Good profit! Now let's hope Chili will do the same for a nice combo hit!

I thought Wales started well, but yeah, Holland looked very good overall.

I thought Wales started well' date=' but yeah, Holland looked very good overall.[/quote'] Well, it was far from great to be honest but Wales was so toothless upfront as expected, you could be very sure The Netherlands would win this one by atleast two goals! Really looking forward to the Chili game, I expect a same result against a weak northern ireland team but they simply have to improve at the back. Chili to win to nil also appeals cause northern ireland blanked so many times especially away from home. Now in a hot atmosphere and climate in Chili, I don't expect a really good performance from NR ireland tbh.. Why should they suddenly improve and run their asses off in a game like this? I expect a fully motivated home side with great pressure from the start and a few goals!

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Good win for us on Chile, guys! :D But to be fair, it was a lucky shot and the -1.5 handi on Chile wasn't good value, especially after starting lineup without Sanchez and Vargas was announced. Before the 65th minute when Valdivia hit the crossbar with a header, Chile couldn't make a single good scoring chances, their game lacked any penetration and urgency, and was showing some poor passing. This NI team is disgustingly frustrating - I watched them against Uruguay as well and I don't remember the last time I saw a team playing so ugly and anti-football in a friendly match. 11 men behind the ball in their penalty area for whole 180 minutes (in both games) with the only thought of guarding the precious "point" in a friendly game. And this guy Roy Carroll was just disgusting - wasting time like crazy every time he was taking a goal kick. A good lesson for us - avoid handicaps against NI bus parkers.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Yes Fedar you summed it up, the NI approach is why we had to wait so long in the Chile and Uruguay games. A tip for next week is Australia to get well beaten by this Chile. The coach had success in the A-league playing positive passing football and he was lauded for that. So he picked the players he was most comfortable and familiar with from the A-league to play this way with the national team. A couple of weeks ago we had a send off match vs South Africa missing 15 of their best players! and after a fast 10 min start by the Australians, they faded badly in the match. Finished 1-1. Tim Cahill headers are all we provide as a goal threat. So they are the opposite opponent to NI. They will try and "play" vs Chile and I just think when the Socceroos present spaces for the Chileans they will keep getting in behind us. Australia coach likes to promote his full backs too which could be disastrous. So the prospect of playing this way vs superior opposition equates to suicide in my eyes.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June

Don't disagree with the above, think it will be a fairly low key game - only likely to be 25k present in a stadium that holds 75k too due to the local kick-off time and price of tickets - wouldn't surprise me to see a draw. Brazil to Win to Nil - 1.75 - coral - 10 Points WIN Bit risky this one as Chile looked hopeless at the back against Egypt and followed their reputation as great going forward but ropey defensively. Chile to Win to Nil - 1.9 - bet365 - 4 Points WIN Chile -1.0AH - 1.5 - betinternet - 5 Points WIN
Good couple of nights there, Brazil only got going after they scored the first but were very comfortable in the end. Couldn't watch the Chile game due to the early morning kick-off time but seems they really got going after the usual suspects came off the bench. The fitness of Vidal could play a huge part in how far they go, Sanchez seems to be on fire currently.

Re: International Friendlies 1st June - 7th June Some thoughts on the friendlies on Friday: Colombia - Jordan Fredy Guarin, James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado should start after missing the match with Senegal (2-2) last Sunday. Apparently Jordan is no match for top South American opposition, having lost the first playoff at home to Uruguay with 5-0. Asian handicaps have not yet been released, but Colombia -2 could be a good idea. Costa Rica - Republic of Ireland This is Costa Rica's last game before the WC and they'll probably be testing their optimal lineup for the tough matches in group D. At this stage, I would fancy Costa Rica against any mid level European opposition that's not featuring in the WC. The Concacaf team should be more sharp and more eager to impress. ROI have a more prestigious friendly in a few days with Portugal and could be making a few experiments in the lineup. The boys in green have not been convincing of late with just one victory in their last 7 friendly matches, at home to Latvia. I am taking Costa Rica 0 AH 2.02 Bet365. Japan - Zambia While I don't fancy much Asian and African teams in friendly matches, Samurai Blue should be able to win this. They have a better team, are preparing for the WC and the price is decent for Japan to win 1.53. A few days ago they beat Costa Rica 3-1. Herve Renard's days as coach of Zambia are over, so too are the good days for this national team. They have lost their last 4 friendlies with non-African opposition. Mexico - Portugal After a disapointing 0-0 with Greece at home, Portugal welcome back in the team Joao Moutinho and Fabio Coentrao. Cristiano Ronaldo has resumed training after a minor knee injury and could feature at some point, but probably won't play much. Portugal 0 AH is currently 1.65, but I think it's likely to rise at kick off with news of Ronaldo being absent from the starting lineup. I'll update the information with more news coming in.
