I would say Poland +1.5AH at 1.97 (pinnacle) and under 3 goals at 2.05 (widespread) look reasonable plays in the circumstances, will have a couple of points on each.

Re: International Friendlies 13th May - 26th May Don't think Netherlands are in a particularly good place currently, Van Gaal is likely going to be playing a 5-3-2 in Brazil instead of the usual 4-3-3 due to the absence of Strootman who they 'can't replace' according to the coach, you look at their squad now and there doesn't look to be the quality that there used to be. Expect this to be a fairly low-key game, Ecuador will probably be quite happy to sit back and play on the break, Netherlands playing in a new way and probably making plenty of subs due to the recent finish to the season..looks a good shout to me. Being a generally cautious bloke I've gone for Ecuador +1.5AH at 1.65 (pinnacle) for a few units.

Re: International Friendlies 13th May - 26th May I agree with you guys. I have watched Ecuador several times in SA qualifiers, as well as in one of their last friendlies - against Argentina. A very solid outfit, which is very good defensively. They are strong physically and they prefer to sit deeper and counter-attack. Ecuadorians have strong flanks. Against Argentina (it finished 0:0 as far as I remember) Ecuadorians outplayed the gauchos (they were without Messi) and should have won I think the Dutch may be in trouble here. Moreover, the normally very physical game of Ecuador might disturb them, because they don't want to risk any injuries before WC. Hollands' team at the moment lacks balance and they are amidst gender transition period - many too young and too inexperienced players, and some others who are already old, and very little in between.

Ultimately, it took a brilliant goal from Van Persie for the Dutch to equalise after Ecuador took an early lead. In one way, you could say Ecuador were lucky, but they played to their strengths - pace and physical strength in all areas, and good finishing.

A bit leaky behind but outstanding on the counter. They have 3/4 very technical and fast players upfront, and will enjoy the climate in Brazil. In the last five games, Greece have won three and drawn two. Greece also have a very good away record in friendlies - in their last 10 away friendlies, they've won 6, drawn 2 and lost 2. They won in Norway, Serbia and Austria. Portugal have a less consistent record in their friendlies. OK, so past form is no guarantee of future success, and Portugal have the better individual players. Both countries came second in their World Cup qualifying groups and qualified via a playoff. Northern Ireland have now failed to score in their last 10 away friendlies and have had a mass of withdrawals for the game. The current list of withdrawals for the trip is as follows - Jamie Ward, Martin Paterson, Will Grigg, Kyle Lafferty, Jonny Evans, Gareth McAuley, Ryan McGivern, Lee Hodson, Alex Bruce, Craig Cathcart, Rory McArdle, Alan Mannus, Chris Brunt and Pat McCourt. This won't mean a lot to most of you but 8 of these players started their last game so it is a massive hit to their plans. They will be ultra defensive I expect, a typical 4-5-1 formation, but they don't have the required ability in the team to pull it off. Not really comparable to this game, firstly NI were at home and it was a qualifier. NI are notorious as terrible away in friendlies they usually have a ton of players drop out but even for them this is a fairly exceptional set of circumstances. 10 games away on the trot failing to score tells it's own story. You actually managed to back an opposition side in the only game NI have won in the past 20 matches! Typical eh? :lol.. Japan have a similar game tomorrow against Cyprus, Cyprus are missing 5 regular starters and Japan are preparing for a WC tournament, I expect Japan will win by 2 or 3 although they regularly concede so I wouldn't trust them to win to nil.

I think that Pambos Christodoulou's ultra negative tactics could prove too much for the small but technically gifted Japanese players. Apoel's players that are missing are only fringe players, only Aloneftis is a regular, who, btw, is injured. My only concern with Uruguay to win to nil is if they lead 3-0 or 4-0 after 60 minutes thier defending may lack concentration. Anyway, good luck with your bet, mate! That's always a risk with clean sheet bets. It can happen quite often, particularly if the losing side believes they can score and keeps attacking late in the game.

Well, I've used my free bet on betfair on a 0-0 correct score for Japan-Cyprus priced at 23. I think that Pambos Christodoulou's ultra negative tactics could prove too much for the small but technically gifted Japanese players. Apoel's players that are missing are only fringe players, only Aloneftis is a regular, who, btw, is injured. The reason I said about not relying on Japan to win to nil is the fact that they seem to score and concede for fun these days, their home games have averaged nearly 4 goals since the start of 2013. Doesn't seem a game Cyprus will be interested in, left some players at home, traveling all the way over to Japan at the end of a long season and they have one of the worst away records in Europe outside the total minnows..odds on Japan are obviously terrible though - even on a decent handicap - I personally expect them to win by at least two, but it is still a friendly so anything can happen. GL to you. The 'win to nil' bet has often divided opinion on here and I'm pretty selective about when I go for it, NI are a favourite because they will just set up defensively and sit back for long periods looking to play on the break, but they don't have the players who can break with pace and lack the ability to find a killer pass and now have their entire attack missing. They do have matches like the Portugal 1-1 every now and again but these days they are few and far between. Let's face it every bet has it's risks!

I have found one of the fastest ways to lose money is to bet on a game just because it's there. My experience is to stand a chance of making money, it's best to have an 'edge' over the rest of the market. So if you don't know anything about these games, a good choice might be 'NO BET' :). Having said that ... the Scotland v Nigeria game is being played at Fulham's ground in London. Scotland have been on a good run, but Nigeria have qualified for the World Cup and probably have stronger individuals - which probably explains their lower odds. That was very unlucky. I watched the game and although Cyprus were terrible I wouldn't put any money on Japan in the WC, some terrible football in both halves. The goal itself was a complete mess and very unlucky by the goalkeeper. Should have been 0-0
