Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday March 8th Port Vale - Carlise League 1 England Saturday 8/3 16:00 Prediction: Port Vale Odds: 2,40 Stake: 6/10 units Bookmaker: Bet365 Our mainbet for the weekend. Port Vale placed 11th. Has had a difficult spell recently losing 3 in a row. However they do still have the PO positions in their sights, its only 9 points up. We like Port Vale, hard working team. Carlise took an impressive point at home to Brentford in the last round. However they do have some injuries on key players and despite having a few decent guys on loan we predict a weakened Carlise to come up short here against a Port Vale who is a decent side, winning 50% of their home games. Carlise is nothing special, and with the injuries lately they are even weaker. A must win for Port Vale if they want to keep their play off hopes alive! WilliamHill 2,10 closer the truth.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday March 8th Because they're playing Walsall who are probably still in with a chance of making the playoffs, and they're playing away. You could argue their short term form is reason enough to back Wolves but I'd say the odds are fair taking into account both sides' league One stature and the fact Wolves are away I'd give them around 50% in this game :ok

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday March 8th its a "derby" and like a cup final for walsall to play wolves. walsall ground holds around 11,000. weve officially bought about 4,000 away tickets and many more actually expected. rumours say our fans will outnumber theirs. we are also eager to get revenge for defeat to walsall at our place. they say dont back your own team.... well F that this weekend. im balls deep in this bet. away win, wolves -1, wolves ht/ft

It's Walsall's cup final but the Wolves are clambering for the tickets! :lol

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday March 8th Have to agree with Wolvesfan. Whilst it is a derby our fans are set to outnumber theirs and Walsall can't seem to buy a win from anywhere at the moment whilst we are on fire as we look to equal a consecutive win record. I won't be betting on my own team but I believe the odds on us are good.

I agree. If you look at the last 6 form then it's actually the top of the form table (Wolves) against the bottom (Walsall). Not very often you'll see that situation and still get relatively decent odds.

Anything can happen in a derby, but Wolves are certainly a far bigger club, have a great record at Walsall (winning most games there I think), and are in better form. All in all, I think Wolves could well win by a few goals here especially if they get an early lead. Over 2.0 is actually quite attractive I think.
