Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th My shots on target stats on recent games highlight quite a few teams as value in the Championship. I wouldn't make any promises here, but sometimes they can highlight value - BARNSLEY @ 2.6 v Blackpool Burnley v SHEFF WEDS @ 4.6 Derby v BRIGHTON @ 3.4 Forest v BLACKBURN @ 4.3 Reading v BOLTON @ 3.3

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th Leeds v Leicester Judging from contrasting run of form from the both sides I fancy Leicester to win even at 6/5 , Leeds are on a really bad run showing some horrible defending especially in their 0-6 thrashing by Sheffield Weds while Leicester are on a really impressive run and playing some good football especially versus derby last week. Leicester WIN @ 6/5 - Betfair OVER 2.5 Goals @ 5/6 - Ladbrokes

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th May have to play Derby DNB. championship is my weakest league for betting but brighton are going to be without lua lua and crofts, in addition to long time absentees buckley, hoskins, and mackail smith. Orlandi may come back but he hasnt played in a while and wont be fully match fit. They may well keep it tight and go in 0-0 at ht and frustrate Derby thn nick one in final 20 and win 1-0, but its rare tht derby dont score at home. Bamford may get his first start aswell...could give the aging Brighton defence of upsom, greer, bruno and calderon/ward some issues.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th Oh and forgot to mention of course tht Ashley Barnes has left as well. so a lot more reliance on Ulloa to score the goals now until they replace barnes. Obika and monakana joined but theyve never been prolific at always been league 1 level players so not sure if they are ready to make an immediate impact

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th 4pts Leicester to beat Leeds 11/10 William Hill The form of these two sides could barely be more contrasting so even as the away side the 11/10 on Leicester has plenty of appeal to it. Their front two look devastating at the minute and with Leeds having just shipped six they won’t enjoy coming up against them. Confidence must be low at Elland Road at the minute and Leeds fans aren’t the most forgiving so if their side struggles early Leicester could take maximum advantage. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th I'd like to point out, even though this season has been worse than any I've been involved with, and I'm not to be trusted...that in years past, this week and next are ground zero for betting underdogs. I presume it's the transfer period, the weather, possibly other things, but though the Championship has been full of dogs getting draws this season, now's the time to play for straight wins if you're inclined to be a contrarian. I haven't actually looked at the card yet, but as with Reading last weekend, I'd expect some surprises.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th Middlesbrough-Charlton 1 @1,8 stake 6 Decided to be involved on this one ,in this Championship so hard to bet on (bet never easy are also elsewhere), but also so exciting, spectacular and funny. Boro are on a nice run of form, full of confidence, since the new manager arrived. He has change system developed by legend Tony Mowbray, inserting 2 defensive midfielder to protect area collapsing down for the crosses and very quick to react on the counter with the very 2 fast wingers Carayol and Adomah. For home team out Steele first GK, Emnes not call by coach, while Key Kamara is on bench but not so fit; however the team is playing well with him. Charlton is not losing many to be honest, and are quite good lately on the road. Also for them no particular missings; but they have played midweek in the cup makins some turnover but not so deep. So i expect an home side very strong from the start, with an high tempo; that will want to push from the first second; playoff are no more a dream for them, after the nightmare of last season, i see quality in this team and hoe they deliver. Come on Boro!!!!

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th Milllwall-Ipswich AH0 @1.99 5/10 ibc Millwall are really bad and play against relegation but they do have a new manager with Holloway. They lost unluckily last week at Huddersfield in the 90th minute thanks to a Nakhi Wells strike late on. Still we all know what a new manager syndrome means and Millwall will certainly find it easier to pick up points at home than away. Ipswich don't do badly on the road, but they have won just 3 matches. Millwall not to lose at least.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th

He means it's a good time to bet underdogs.
Well...as I went on to say in my late-night ramblings, it's just that in the past Championship was a great league for straight wins by large dogs...this season it has been draws...and these last weeks in January had the best ratio of straight wins. I'm suggesting that this might be a week where the dogs win outright rather than draw...if they do anything at all.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday January 18th On the draw in QPR, Birmingham, Middlesbrough, straight win for Doncaster, Sheff Wed and Blackburn...don't see a rhyme or reason to all the odds over 4.0 and even 5.0. Famous last words, but there's isn't a single one of these games I'd be confident taking the favorite at below 2.0, based on home/away, h2h, anything.

1-0 FT Was not easy as I was expecting, but at the end the result is what it matters, Boro has chance to make 2 but also not pleayed that fine, good to know for the future...
