Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Dec 16-19 Wealdstone away at Lowestoft Town (6/4 BetVics, Marathon) Given the superb shifts that Wealdstone put in at Kingstonian and Bognor, I have to take them in this one. They are much less defensively naive than last season and carry a reasonable threat going forward, and it's a good time to be going to Lowestoft, who are in indifferent form and suffering from a light squad - they couldn't fill the bench at Thamesmead on Saturday. With horrible home defeats to Leiston and Hampton - two sides who were scratching about for any sort of form - Lowestoft will hardly be brimful of confidence. While tiredness and the conditions - lots of rain in the forecast - will be against Wealdstone's front-foot game they are a higher price than I can make them. Enfield Town away at Hampton & Richmond Borough (7/2 Marathon) While Hampton have been a little better than some of their woeful early season showings, it's arguable that any reasonably competent side shouldn't be 7/2 for a trip to the Beaveree. Competence isn't a quality that you normally associate with Enfield - three points from a possible 39 - but George Borg is running the show now and has already started to revamp the squad. Bradley Quinton is a good body to have on board, and he and a pair of Braintree loanees helped stiffen up the rearguard that did okay against Kingstonian on Saturday - much better than recent showings. Hampton - who have the personnel to be much higher in the league - find it hard to get going at home (just two wins in the league), and are better when they can counter with pace away from home. Hampton are favourites but Enfield have a much better chance than the 7/2 suggests - this is nowhere near my price.

Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Dec 16-19 Shipsupstrets do you think that Havant win tonight? Hard one to call as neither side seemed particularly bothered on Saturday. Havant fielded a strong side for that one and will probably do the same tonight, and man-for-man they have the edge, even with Christian Nanetti still missing. But given that the motivations of both sides are a little uncertain I find it hard to make much of a case at the available prices.
Darran
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Dec 16-19 One bet for me and given how and I am struggling to see how Bishop's Stortford are even money to beat Staines. Obviously I have written plenty about Staines in recent weeks and again on Saturday we made money on opposing them away from home. The price might well be helped by the fact Stortford lost at Staines recently but I think we can ignore that given how different their away and home form is. Stortford have actually only played 6 home league games and they have won five with the only one they have lost being their first home game of the season. The slight worry is they haven't one in three since they got knocked out of the FA Cup and lost Kyle Vassell, but I think back at home against a team who are terrible away from home then even money is a cracking price. There's not much rain in the forecast - light rain from 5ish - but it's a naturally heavy pitch at Hampton that seems damp even when they play friendlies on it in July. What did they announce? They've been light of bodies for weeks with departures followed by injuries and suspensions. I pointed this out higher up the thread. If you are implying that a non-league club has taken advantage of the bad weather to call in a local ref and get a game called off so that they can get XI fit for the next game, well - I've never heard of such a thing... kevshat
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Dec 16-19 TV preview: 3pts Grimsby to beat Kidderminster 11/8 Bet365 Momentum tends to be a big thing around this time of the season and it is Grimsby who have that and I think they’ll win this match. They have goals in them which is always a help but they are good at keeping them out which could be the bigger thing here. Kidderminster have suddenly begun to concede goals at a pretty big rate and without Morgan-Smith and with Joe Lolley possibly on the verge of a move away goals may not come as frequently. Throw home advantage into the mix and Grimsby can get a vital win here. Jase82
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Dec 16-19 Grimsby V Kidderminster Over 2.5 goals @ 1.8 - bet365. Lots to play for here as the winner will leapfrog the loser and close ground on Luton in second. I know many don't use head to heads when putting up reasoning, but you can't argue with the fact seven out of the last nine head to heads between these two have gone over. Grimsby have kept one clean sheet all season, against Billericay. Although Kidderminster have been struggling for goals of late away from home, they still had five games out of their first six away league fixtures go over. Added to that Both to score has come off in four out of their last five league games, whilst they've gone over in three out of their last five.
