The horse won over C/D last july & will appreciate the bit of cut in the ground. Negative is the draw in stall 17 (hence the price) but this horse can get to the front during the first 2-3 f & then have a right go at them. The trainer Mcmahon is in form at the moment & has winner at this track. Off 92 tomorrow but won off 94 over 6f recently beating smokin beau. Cannot choose between the 2 & rather than waste 20pts, will not bother putting them in the thread. 3.05 SOMETHING EXCITING should win this after its fine 2nd in the oaks. This race is often a consolation for the oaks placed horses & this horse can quicken up well. 10pts win @ SP 3.45 PAPINEAU - i napped this last year & had a great bet on it. I fully expect it to be in 1st 2 this year & will again chance 10pts @ 13/2 Skybet. 4.20 Normally goes to a lightly raced sort & LOVE PALACE fits the bill for me, just a 3rd place to date this season, the Johnston horse is a big price & is well drawn, i fully expect a place. 5pts ew @ 25/1 Blsq 4.55 Between Zalongo & belenus & again difficult to split. RUDI'S PET @ 10/3 Sp odds 10pts win will surely not get a better chance from stall 14 of 14 at this tight track. Has ran well enough recently showing glimpses of the old fform. is much better than these & can lead which will help. Hopefully can hold on til the line. Just think that ground was a bit false & some horses just didnt take to the conditions. Coupled with the unpredictable draw made it a difficult meeting. 2 today: 3.40 PONT - WUNDERWOOD. I planned to follow this horse when it caught my eye at Epsom in April when finishing 4th. Won cosily LTO when taken up to Hamilton for a listed race. Acts on this ground & Has Seb Sanders in the saddle today which just gives it another tick in the box for me. Surprised it is 5/2 with Sporting odds - Take 10pts win 4.00 WARW - LIFTED WAY. Finished 6th (btn 1 3/4 l) LTO in a good sandown h'cap won by Freeeloader. Many hard luck stories that day with a bunch finish, & hopefully today's smaller field will suit the horse better. The jockey Ian MOngan probably had his best week in racing & is on a high. Will levae this one at SP as it is only showing max 7/2 at the moment. Won off 82 over 5f at Bath last sept, followed by a shd defeat in the 26 runner fillies sales race over c/d & then ran a creditable 4th behind the smart Cape Columbine on soft ground at headquarters. 3 reasonable efforts this term but tonight runs off 79 & looks like a good race to get off the mark. Whinhill House is a fast horse & has form in big sprints. Trainer would not put him if not worthy of a place at least. Good prizemoney on offer which looks tempting.
