Ran well enough LTO when 3rd behind Polar Magic for me to believe it can figure here especially if getting to the front with 2f to go. 5pts ew @ 9/1 Sp Odds 5.25 Kemp FLINT RIVER attempts to follow up recent Course win by attempting 1 furlong further which certainly looked as though it could handle when trotting up on easier ground last month. Still a big price today but I will keep faith for an ew shout. 5pts @ 16/1 PPower 3.40 Newc SAAMAEQ i was told to keep an eye out for this one who certainly didnt like the commotion LTO when the race was held up for 30 mins. Was backed into Favourite that day & again I am looking at ew agianst older rivals. 5pts ew @ 16/1 Hills 30pts staked will also be looking out for the 2 notebook horses Pocketwood & Peace & Love & will invest some shillings on them 2. :ok

Re: Bowles' flat racing bets Good luck Bowles. Flint River has a shockingly bad draw, but hopefully he can follow mine in. I know he won from stall 1 last time here, but the bias is reversed (and less prominent) over that shorter trip.

Tuesdays selections 2.20 Bath SCARLET KNIGHT ran a very creditable 3rd at Windsor over the min trip 2wks ago, finishing ahead of Green Pride who has subsequently won. Dwelt & ran green that day but stayed on well. Only horse backed in this today for early money into 9/4, has a fair draw 4 of 10. Will need to beat the Millman/Channon/Hannon's runners but does that advantage of a race under its belt. 10pts win @ Sp 3.20 Bath STRIDER probably needs the extra 2 furlongs today as it was doing all its best work at the end of its last race when staying on for 3rd place behind Arabie is similar race. Off same mark of 59 today. 10pts win @ SP 4.50 Bath These sprinters normally win 1 race a year & today DANCE TO THE BLUES has a chance of doing so. 3rd behind Chatshow at Brighton LTO on G/F ground will be interesting to see if it can handle the softer conditions underfoot today. 5pts ew @ SP 30pts staked

Re: Bowles' flat racing bets 1 winner so far today Scarlet Knight @ 5/2:clap tonight: 8.00 Catterick Interesting maiden in which I call AUVERGNE the winner. 3rd on only race to date behind stage school who did nothing for the form by getting beat yesterday in a handicap. However, the selection was 2nd string that day & finished 8l clear of 4th place Sound that alarm who went in at Bath today. Will be around the 5/2 mark. 10pts win @ SP 7.30 Catterick CELTIC BLAZE comes into this on an all time lowest mark of 51. Robert Winston is a significant booking & 14/1 available. Reasonable hurdles form over further should have no problem staying the trip. 5pts ew @ 14/1 Skybet 20pts staked

Re: Bowles' flat racing bets Alright Bowles,them two Cumani horses are ridden by N.Mackay who he has a fair runs to wins ratio with.But I noticed that with M.Stoute he has a fantastic record 2yr olds 2-5 3yr 4-6 and 4yr+ 1-1.This jockey could be one to watch for,being getting more rides last couple of seasons and riding more winners. This season he's 6-44 14% usually ends up riding big priced runners.

Re: Bowles' flat racing bets Fridays selections 1.30 Chester Had to toss up between Fonthill Road & CARIBBEAN CORAL for this as i only looked at those drawn in stalls 1-3. Native title has not won over 5f in his career & i would still wait for a large field over 6f for that one to win again. the selection is back on a winning mark now 96, & has form on these type of tracks. at 11/1 it represents good value against the 4/1 fav Fonthill road. 5pts ew @ 11/1 Sp odds 2.00 Chester if there are any chinks in the favourites armour, ZALONGO will be waiting to pounce for the Stoute stable.. 5pts ew @ 9/2 Lads 2.30 Chester ACROPOLIS looks a good thing today with conditions to suit. Should stay the extra distance. 10pts win @ 13/8 Sp Odds 3.00 Chester LAKE GARDA a winner over 6f at this meeting last year has never raced over this longer trip but i dont see why it should be as big as 50/1!!! Oldest horse in the race today but based on its gutsy win at Newmarket last week, Gerald Butler is obviously keen to get it back into this company. Was on the verge of Group 3 class last season. Just think the price is a bit of value against horses who have been off track for a while. 2.40 Newbury La Vie Dei colori 10pts win @ 4/1 Sp odds Against the favourite, the obvious choice. If Rakti has one of its off days, then this horse can take advantage. Cumani places his horses well. Ground wont be soft enough for Autumn glory unfortunately. 3.30 Nottingham Ringmoor Down 10pts win @ 5/2 Bet365 One of our notebook horses, expected to go well with the increase in trip to a favoured 6f. 3.40 Thirsk Meccas Mate 10pts win @ 7/2 Sp odds Good win latest, follow up on the cards.
