Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August Wolves vs Crawley (19:45 BST 23/8) Wolves are currently available at 4/5 with Skybet and 17/20 with WH. I doubt this price will be around for long and personally I expected us to be shorter given impressive performances against both Bristol City and Gillingham. Crawley lost 2-1 at home to Rotherham at the weekend and their squad isn't the largest although I suppose there is the chance they could bolster it with signings before Friday. Provided Wolves don't lose Bakary Sako before the game (which looks increasingly unlikely due to lack of interest in recent weeks) they should have too much for Crawley.
Colchester United ? - ? Carlisle United

I will be honest with you guys that I dont have much info on this league. But looking at the information available, it seems Colchester is a strong favourite here when you compare both teams recent performance. However it is difficult to judge how good a team is looking at this season since the season has just started. Looking at last year performance, both teams seem to be struggling quite often. Any recommendations for this game?

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August 4pts Wolves to beat Crawley 7/10 Coral Wolves look to have clicked into gear nicely and while they’ll have tough tests as the season goes on I’m not convinced this will be one of them. The danger is that Crawley will raise their game on the big occasion but Kenny Jackett will have his men aware of that and as long as they don’t get complacent they should have too much quality in the areas that count for this Crawley side. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August Swindon V Gillingham Saturday 3pm (London time) Swindon struggled last week away at Shrewsbury , however back at home they are a totally different proposition. They beat Stevenage 1-0 at home in their only home game but started quickly and should have had more. Hills are at 5/6 for the home. (I'm sure you may get a better price elsewhere) . The last 4 times Swindon have played at home to Gillingham they have won , 2-0, 3-1, 5-0 & 1-0 (2011, 2010, 2007, 2006). Gillingham's performances have been poor. They held Brentford 1-1 at home in the last game. Brentford are very decent especially at home , but if you look behind the facts Gillingham had 3 shots at goal , (2 on target) and Brentford had 15 , (5 on target). Gillingham were credit with 47% possession , hence 53% Brentford. Gillinghams only away game this season was at Wolves where they lost 4-0. Back Swindon 5/6 (6 points) Swindon 1X 2/11 ( find a double to go with it !)

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August MK Dons V Bristol C Saturday 3pm The MK Dons are Ok at home but what gives me confidence is how poor Bristol City are in terms of allowing teams to create chances (good chances on target) against them. Their last two matches has seen 33 opposition shots of which 23 have been on target. They tend to score themselves as well. (Lost 5-4 to Coventry; Coventry had 20 shots, 15 on target) and ( lost 2-1 at home to Wolves; wolves had 13 shots , 8 on target). All at Hills (too lazy to look elsewhere, so shop around) Both teams to Score BTTS 8/11 (6 points) Over 2.5 19/20 (5 points) MK Dons 19/20 (8 points) Double Chance 1X (2/9)

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August Oldham v Port vale Oldham are getting better every game. They have been unfortunate as they've played 2 of the top 4 sides (Peterborough and Walsall) so far in their 3 games. They actually outplayed Peterborough last week but still lost 2-1. Previously they had lost 1-0 to Walsall. Due to this the bookies have mispriced them at 7/5 (Wiliam Hills). 7/20 for the 1X is outstanding value.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August if leigh griffiths plays i predict wolves to score many goals this year,he had an amazing year with hibs and i believe he will run riot in league1,wolves fans will be happy with the amount of goals and assists he will get,not to mention his free kicks too.check this out wolves fans on youtube (leigh griffiths disallowed goal).i dont normally go for goalscorers markets but theres a very good chance he will score imo.first goalscorer 11/4 or 3.75 or anytime goalscorer 4/6 or 1.66 with bet 365 the odds are very low so i will just go for small stakes for an interest in the match.

There is another game tonight. I've had a good look at this game and arrived at a "no bet" conclusion. I do think 4/1 for an away win is bordering on being backable but 1-2-X is not really a market I play. I considered buying Colchester's goal rush at 20 (a bet which needs 2 home goals to break even and 3 to profit) but was soon put off the idea. They've scored once in each game so far this season and tonight might seem a good chance for them to score a few more given Carlisle's defensive woes (yet to concede less than 3) but Colchester only managed to score >1.5 goals in one of their home games last season so I'll leave that well alone. I might have considered a buy of Carlisle's goal rush at 10 or less but the price is 12 so, again, I'll swerve that one. As you can gather, this is an unattractive betting heat for me but if you must bet I'd side with Carlisle and/or the draw and wouldn't put too much faith in Colchester's goal scoring prowess. (So cue an emphatic 5-0 home win to make me look daft!)

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August I back underdogs as many of you know, based on league tendencies at different levels of odds. League One is a draw league for five years now (as long as I've been keeping track), at every level of odds from 3.5 up to 6.0 and higher. There is a tendency entering this part of the calendar (weeks 4 to 8) for outright wins by large dogs, as most bettors draw a lot of incorrect conclusions based on minimal information, and teams gel suddenly. Mostly, though, it's draws when the upsets happen. Carlisle losing two games by 0-4 scores certainly makes you wonder, but the teams oughtn't have a 5.0 odds gulf between them between last year and this. I'm on the draw @ Colchester (3.86) and @ Wolves (3.98)...5dimes.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August Oldham to beat Port Vale 7/5 Betvictor Willhill Coral In the pre-season friendlies Oldham seem unconcerned by the fact that the opposition kept scoring against them. They seemed to believe that they would always score one more than the opposition. They carried this trend on in the opening game against Stevenage with a 4-3 victory. Obviously its folly to have such a gung-ho approach and subsequently lost their next two games. However the one thing they have proven is that they can create a lot of chances. If they can strike the right balance between attack and defence they are going to move swiftly up the table. Port vale at the moment just look an average side and are surely there for the taking.

Thought the swine looked a poor price to be honest, 1.8ish is a crap price. Swindon have lost 2 of 3 and hardly look like world beaters, they probably have a better side than us but looking at the games we have played so far we have played 2 of the best sides in the league in Wolves and Brentford and a possible surprise package in Colchester who are currently 4th. There is a slight edge to this in that some Gills fans consider this a derby match due to a number of scuffles between the clubs over the years, Swindon don't really feel the same but the match has a definite edge to it..the behaviour of both sets of fans has been poor over the years at this fixture. Don't expect us to win, draw wouldn't be a big surprise but I would be surprised if many Swindon fans consider that a good price for the home win, in true allthethings style I would go for the draw!

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > 24th August Tranmere-Peterborough over 2.5 @1.82 5/10 Pinnacle Tranmere are without a victory so far having gained just 1 point from possible 9 points with a combined scoring of 5:8. They conceded goals against teams which are widely tipped to play against relegations such as Crewe and Crawley. Right-back Holmes was sent off last week so he will miss this match and young Jones will deputise. Offensively they are having some good strikers such as Akpo Akpra, Lowe and some younger players. They host Peterborough who are having the best squad off all teams in this division. They were able to keep almost all of their players only seeing striker Gayle leaving but they acquired hot-shot Assombalonga as his replacement and he immediately made an impact. Peterborough play very offensively carrying less about their defence and rather lookng out to score more up front. This one should have several goals in it and I expect something like a 1-3. GL

Swindon have also allowed Andy Williams to go out on loan to Yeovil for the season this week, leaving the only strikers as Nile Ranger (unfit) and Miles Storey (inexperienced and more of an impact sub type player). I'd say draw was the most probable result too.

The bloke is mentally unfit, just got a tattoo of his surname on his forehead :lol..guess it helps when you don't have the intelligence to remember it, blokes been arrested countless times and is a total idiot. I can't imagine he will start the game unless they are really struggling for numbers, only played a handful of games over the last few years and is quite successfully flushing his career down the toilet.
