Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Apr 27 As always, last weekend brings the question of 'who is interested and who is not?' into the equation, and also 'who is interested and who is also up against a side without a keeper?' Chelmsford City - still after position for the play-offs - fall into that category. Farnborough, still lacking a keeper and perhaps on the brink of administration, will no doubt keep the ball as far up the field as they can, but Chelmsford should have the weapons to exploit that tactic, which worked against Billericay. I think Corals are taking a risk with the initial 11/10 about Chelmsford.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Apr 27 can colwyn bay complete their amazing escape against an injury hit gloucester? addpea will no doubt have some thoughts on this one altrincham wont want any injuries in their local derby against droylsden, the bloods have a reputation for shall we say robust tactics so it will be interesting to see what sort of side alty put out solihull might be one for me at odds against if team news is favourable

We went up there last day of the season last year and got stuffed 4-0. Bay are basically safe anyway, not sure what our team is looking like, but most of the injuries were season ending ones. Needed a 30 yard stunner from Corby to beat us last week, but Bay are obviously in good form. If they were bigger I might have got involved but at 8/13 I don't think the value is there. We are still looking to finish top 10 and have had a wee off.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Apr 27 Farnborough v Chelmsford Chelmsford are the max bet this weekend. Farnborough have been forced to play an outfield player in goal in recent weeks. They have managed to win two of those games, drawing one and losing the other. In that time they have conceded 10 goals and in their last three games conceded three each time. Farnborough have managed to score enough goals to get a point against bottom side Truro and a win against relegated side Billericay. Saturday however sees them play Chelmsford who are in the play-offs. Chelmsford are certain of their play-off berth, however they can still finish third and the higher up the table they finish gives them a better chance of being at home in the play-off final as it is held at the club who finished highest in the league. Due to that I don't think they will be resting, indeed I think they will look to win the game as soon as possible. Chelmsford have the defence to keep Farnborough at bay and the strikers to take full advantage of the lack of a proper goalkeeper. 11/10 is readily available and they should be odds on to win this. If odds come available on over 4.5 goals and upwards then I would also look to play those to small stakes. Welling v Eastleigh Welling fully deserve to win the Blue Square South this season, but if Eastleigh had hit form sooner they may well have run them close. It was Eastleigh's away form that was the big problem for the first half of the season and Welling have not lost at home all season. I am still going with Eastleigh though because as we saw with Chester last weekend once a team gets the title won they can sometimes take their foot off the peddle. Chester lost their first home game of the season and like Welling they were also getting the Trophy. You got the feeling they were just running through the motions waiting for the party to start. Welling could be the same and with Eastleigh needing to win to have the possibility of finishing third I think they are worth a punt at 7/4 (Totesport). Worcester v Chester This is a big risk as Worcester have struggled for most of the year, but it is their final game at St George's Lane and there will be a huge crowd to cheer them on. Chester are playing as I write this on Thursday night at Halifax, but regardless of the score there it is not going to help that they have played less than 48 hours prior to this game. With Chester easing off of late and Worcester no doubt wanting to win their last game at the ground I think they are worth a bet at 19/5 (BetVictor).

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Apr 27 There are doubts about David Rainford and Max Cornhill for Chelmsford tomorrow but any thoughts that they'll be taking it easy before the playoffs can be put to bed: “We won’t approach this game any different to how we’ve approached any other this season. We’re going into it to win as if we need the three points to get into the play-offs. You can’t turn on and off as a footballer - we want to carry the momentum on. The players know that, and it’ll be full steam ahead to make sure we do everything right, because it would be fantastic to head into the play-offs with five straight wins behind us,” says Glenn Pennyfather on the official website. The excellent Richard Peniket should be back to add firepower to the Farnborough line-up but - as I said above - their gameplan is to protect Cardiani by attacking as much as possible. This commendable cavalierist approach leaves them very vulnerable to swift counters, and Chelmsford are much better equipped than Billericay. Marathon are going 5/4 Chelmsford, as well as offering 5/2 (along with Coral on the HT/FT), 10/3 on the Chelmsford -1.5 handicap), 6/1 on -2, and 8/5 Chelmsford to score both halves. The -1.5 and the -2 look very generous in the circumstances.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Apr 27 Should add as well that it looks like Worcester will be having an outfield player in goal on Saturday, so that obviously isn't great, but it is a big price on Worcester. Have to say it is crazy that we could have 3 teams playing without a proper keeper on Saturday.

And even Truro and Billericay scored 3. I have done the over goals as I have suggested in the preview now BetVictor have priced the game up

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet North & South Apr 27 By the way when I wrote my post I didn't realise it had finished 3-1 and not 3-0 (I was busy celebrating Dulwich's title win), but again missed out on at least getting some money back by a goal.
