I think our price is dreadful here. Fair enough we're playing Hartlepool who are probably one of the worst sides in the league, but we are not playing with too much fluidity ourselves. If you take into consideration recent performances and the away factor I'd have us around 3.2, bare minimum. Saturday was another game where we should really have done better. Izale McZleod missed a PEN, while we created more in short spells than throughout the game. Simon Eastwood also pulled off a couple of smart saves to deny Preston. Ultimately I'd have to go back to backing goals here, as neither defences are water tight, and I'd expect both teams to really fancy picking up a vital three points. We certainly can't afford to sit back as we have a ten point deduction looming. Our court case has been pushed back to January 15th, which prolongs the inevitable, and could see us still liquidated.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Brentford V Stevenage Stevenage +0.75 @ 11/13 (Pinnacle) 1 Unit Brentford are in imperious form at the moment but I feel Saturday’s game against Stevenage may provide an opportunity to oppose Uwe Rosler’s side. 5 games in 19 days could potentially begin to take its toll for the bees, their most recent game against Bradford in the FA Cup went to extra time and despite Donaldson and Forrester not starting it was still a strong lineup. Listening to interviews I just get the impression that Rosler thinks it’ll be tough to keep this great run going with such a high turnover of games in a small space of time. Brentford have won their last 4 consecutive home games in all competitions and a 5th maybe a bridge too far against a Stevenage side which is more effective on the road than at home. Stevenage have only lost twice on the road in league one thus far during 2012-2013 with 62.2% of their total points tally gained away from home. They have lost a bit of form in the second quarter of the season but I still believe they will be there or there abouts come the end of the campaign with a top 6 finish a distinct possibility. Risk elements: Obviously Brentford are a very good side with a wealth of decent attacking players, they’re 2nd in the table for a reason. In terms of form Brentford are currently 1st in league one while Stevenage are down in 19th. Despite this I think the Stevenage +0.50 line could be priced odds on considering the circumstances which surround this game so to get +0.75 at close to EVS represents some value in my view. We’re quite far out at the time of posting this so there’s always a risk the team news could turn sour nearer the time but the flipside is potential deterioration of the Stevenage price.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec I would go for Leyton Orient on some sort of handicap here at Notts County. I was going through some regular football forums I go on to read fans thoughts and I was shocked to read how much Notts County fans are calling for Keith Curle's head. The fans are not turning up at Meadow Lane of late and a terrible attitude of players with a real "cant be assed" atttiude. This was proven by there poor effort at home last night in their FA Cup 2nd Replay at home to Rotherham in which the Magpies lost 3-0. All just does not seem right at County which is why I would be inclined to back Orient in some way. They slipped up at home to Scunthorpe last week after winning 8 in a row however they did not play that badly and it could be seen as a blip.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Swindon have now shortened to below evens. They are always well backed maybe because of the di Canio factor which always generates publicity and keeps swindon in the spotlight. Looking at the evidence however Swindon have 2 wins in there last 10 at home and Tranmere have 6 wins 3 draws and 1 loss in there last 10 away. All adds up to a very poor price for Swindon and value with Tranmere win.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec

swindonfan' date=' what do you think as Fan of your side. Which one will win?[/quote'] I cant say who will win but i think Swindon should be priced above evens. I dont bet on Swindon games but i would try tranmere draw no bet or lay of swindon if i did. The best way to approach Swindon games is to back them the following game after they lose. They seem to bounce back after a loss especially a home loss that has been the pattern this season.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Swindon v Tranmere - Under 1.5 - 3.4 Ladbrokes It's difficult to predict a winner in this game. Swindon have been poor at home for a while and have achieved just 7 points in the last 6 home games. Tranmere are now no longer runaway leaders and find themselves joint top with Brentford, and the rest of the pack closing. Tranmere still have a lot of key players out and are currently looking at damage limitation until they are back. Swindon have a couple of important players back, but with none of the strikers firing, they are struggling to turn chances into goals. In Swindon's 11 home league games, 5 of them have been under 1.5 goals and in Tranmere's 11 away games, 4 have been under 1.5. In Swindon's last 4 games they have faced 3 teams in and around the promotion/playoff places, and 2 of these against Notts County and Brentford were under 1.5 goals. The other was under 2.5 goals. In Tranmere's last 4 games they have faced two teams in and around the promotion/playoff places. 1 of these was under 0.5 goals vs Sheff Utd, and 1 was under 2.5 goals vs Stevenage. Bearing all this in mind, I think a 1-0 looks the most probable scoreline, but without being able to pick a winner, under 1.5 goals is the best play here.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Interested in several games in league one tomorrow. Firstly, I think Bournemouth are far too short away at Crewe who have won three on the bounce and have a good home record. Bournemouth have only won four of their eleven home games. Considering Crewe +0.25 Full house expected at Brentford tomorrow as they are letting people pay what they like for tickets as a special xmas promotion. Brentford will be keen to put on a show and get these people coming back regularly. I know they had extra time in the cup mid week, but half the players that will start tomorrow were rested or only came off the bench. The bees have multiple goal threats now too in Trotta, Donaldson and Forrester. Just seen Greg Tansey tweet that he is out of the game with a knock and he is an important player for Stevenage who could also be without Morais. I think Brentford at 5/6 are just about value. Finally, how are Crawley favs against Sheff utd? Have them rated a good bit further apart and home advantage seems to be worth very little in league one this season. Crawley could be without both first choice centre backs too. Sheff utd DNB on my shortlist. Any thoughts on the above appreciated, especially from fans of those teams mentioned.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Have to agree , i think Shef Utd DNB look decent. Utd are no world beaters but, they have only been defeated twice this season away from home and this was against arguably the best 2 sides in the league ie. MK Dons & Brentford,. In my opinion Crawley can not be compared with these teams, they are much inferior. Their home record is far from impressive with only 1 win in their last 5, it is my opinion that the value lies firmly with the away side.

Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Scunthorpe-Carlisle under 2.75 @1.97 3/10 Pinnacle Both teams are actually more overish sided but both don't have great offenses. Scunthorpe scored only 24 goals so far and top striker Clarke (11 goals) returned to his parent club last week. Without him, they don't score a lot of goals. Carlisle have also lost their best striker Garner (7 goals/ 2 assists) this week as he returned to his parent club Watford. With both teams missing their most important offensive player, this shouldn't be very goalish at all. Furthermore, Carlisle are missing important midfielder Barrett (1 goal / 2 assists). Less goals here. GL

Walsall v Colchester I think Walsall are good value here at 2.25. Shots on target stats suggest they have been playing better than Colchester recently and this should make them firm favourites - and lower odds than 2.25. Walsall 2.25 Paddy Power
Result: Walsall 1 Colchester 0 Bet won :ok
