Chelsea failed to find the net only once since March, Shakhtar have scored in every single game this season, they rested players past weekend in the league, W6 out of 11 away matches in UCL. Both teams to score, OVER 2.5 looks like certainty. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has 14 goals in 13 games this season and looks to be the next big thing H. Mkhitaryan anytime scorer @3.50 PP might be worth a cheeky 1 unit bet ;)

I think it's pretty obvious Nordsj will be more than happy to walk away with a draw here as they were beaten away by strong Chelsea and Shakhtar teams who in my opinion are both better teams than Juve. If Nordsj can get to about the half half hour mark without conceding, or even better score an early goal themselves then I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to get the draw here. I think the 7/2 screams value as Juve haven't won a game in the champions league by more than 1 goal since beating Real madrid back in 2008 2-0 and that was back when Juve had the likes of Del Piero and Nedved which was arguably a much better team than what they have now.

They host FCNordsjaelland and prior to Juve's last game they were 49 league gamesunbeaten in Serie A. 1/6 is a short price but I expect that this willbe a comfortable victory so consider -1 on the handicap at 1/2. Chelseahad a tough game in against Shaktar last time out losing 2-1. Shaktarare a quality side and are smashing their league and they will makelife difficult for Chelsea in tonight's game. However, considering thatChelsea are at home, they have won 4 out 5 home league games and theyhave a better team than Shaktar; they are worth backing. Chelsea haveplenty of class in their side: Hazard and Oscar are looking incredible,Mata is scoring for fun, we won't mention Torres, and in the main,their defence is very strong. This is by no means a banker but to sumit up, they are the current ChampionsLeague champions. Just off the top of my head Chelsea lost to Villa and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge last season.
Sorry about my misleading statistics then, I was quoting http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/28/chelsea-manchester-united-live-mbm and didn't notice the first paragraph was from an article a year old :) That record was from last season then, so it spanned somewhere between 2007 and 2011.

Nordsjaelland managed to draw at home to Juve 2 weeks ago and whilst i still expect them to lose i don't think they will get battered with a likely score being 2-0 or maybe 3-0. Nordsjaelland don't offer much threat in attack and have scored just 1 goal from their opening 3 CL games. Italian sides in general play quite conservatively and IMO the only likely way this bet will lose will be if the score is either 4-0 or 3-1 to Juve as i can't see Nordsjaelland scoring twice if even once. Chelsea to beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2.14 @ Betfair - I think this price is very fair considering the quality Chelsea have in attack with Hazard, Oscar, Mata and Torres. I know Chelsea lost 2-1 in Ukraine to Shakhtar but that was because Chelsea were away and it is always tough for English teams to go to eastern European countries like Ukraine or Russia, but i think eastern European sides find it equally difficult to play in England and that is a key factor in this game. Yes, Shakhtar have some good players like Willian, Fernandinho and Adriano but let's be honest they are not in the same class as Chelsea in footballing terms. Don't get me wrong this won't be walk in the park for Chelsea but i still think they'll win with a possible score of 2-1. Cole is out for the blues and Terry is on the bench but i think their front three behind Torres will be too much for Shakhtar to handle. BTTS and Over 2.5 goals also look like good bets. Also, Chelsea have not lost a CL group game at home since 2003 and i don't think they have been that poor lately it's just that because they started the season so well with 22 points from 8 games and now they have lost to United (which is nothing to be ashamed of and they were down to 9 men) and drawn at Swansea who are tough to play at the Liberty Stadium and suddenly people are worried that they'll fail to win or even lose to Shakhtar Donetsk at home. IMO the bookies have under priced Chelsea here and i would put them at around the 1.9 - 2.00 area to win this game so i think there's value in backing Chelsea to get the job done tonight and put them in a good position in their group.

Huge match here for Chelsea, It's basically a must win if they're to have any chance of progressing past the group stage. The odds for a home win are very appetising in my opinion - but I'm not overly confident or convinced that Chelsea can win after seeing how they performed in the reverse fixture at Ukraine. Generally I'd back us at home to a side like Shakhtar, and I'd do so at shorter odds - but their last match up has really spooked me. I might sound a tad harsh on Chelsea here, but they honestly looked toothless last time the sides met. Shakhtar went forward at will and proved to be a brilliant counter attacking side, which is what worries me - Chelsea being the home side will have to step up and take the game to their opposition, and that may well play into Shakhtar's hands. Very very tricky one for me. Chelsea have to win, and they should win it in my opinion, but It'll be very tough for them.
Chelsea are second in the group at the moment. They don't have to win.

But yes it will be better to avoid that situation given the fact that Juve will then have a draw at their disposal that will suit them, and then however it must come out a biscuit from Shaktar that however will lose first spot. However i do not think that Chelsea will go out with all guns fired up, because they really know the deadly counter attack of this Shaktar. I think this can be an under game instead, finishing 1-0 , 1.1, or 2.0 for chelsea, but given that fact that i am absolutely not a specialist of goals and totals, it is a sentence that leaves the times it find (in italian we say lascia il tempo che trova...) However i will be a fans of Chelsea tonight, also because I am not a fan of Juventus....can't wait for the game to begin !1

Both to score would be the obvious bet for me but 1.57 isnt enough so im going to try take advantage of the bet365 free bet offer £20 on draw @ 5/2 £20 on Chelsea to win by 1 in play @ 10/3 The inplay bet will be refunded if it doesnt come in :hope

For Juventus - Nordsjeland i think Juventus win to 0 is very good bet 1' date='72 . Ijust can't see Nordsjeland score a goal to Juve in Italy. Their goal in Denmark was from free kick and this game is a must win game for Juve. For me [b']Juve win to 0 1.72 (bet365). For Chelsea - Shakhtar D. i think that here may be agreement between this to clubs to exchange the wins, Abramovich is russian and Gazprom are Shakhtar investors. If you forgot about that Chelsea are palying at home and are more experienced team. Don't forget that Chelsea are pesent winners of CL. Prediction: Chelsea -0,5 2.025 (bet365).
Good CL night for me. And very good last minute Chelsea goal.

I'm on Chelsea here too. I think it's a decent (if not great) price. As I understand it John Terry will be back, and whatever you think of him he will should improve the Chelsea team and bring a needed sense of leadership. Rather than going in too big with the sngle I will probably double up with United to win at Braga. The Braga game won't be easy at all, but United have showed they are coming into form and even if they concede (which they probably will) the should have too much firepower. Chelsea to win: 2 units at 21/20 with Betvictor Chelsea/United double: 2 units just under 4/1 (4.87)
:clap phew, everybody leaving it late. Made me sweat but all good in the end.

Main bet came in, though I didn't get anything other than learning to spell this guys name out of my 'fun' bet on this one. Goals were never a doubt..
