Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21 Reall sorry but I have had no time to write a preview this week. If I get chance I will add some meat to the bones but my tips to small stakes are the following Halifax FC United Of Manchester Workington Southport I have also had a double on Stockport and Welling.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21 It's in this round that class usually starts to tell, and Hastings United look a great price at 8/11 to beat Blackfield and Langley, home advantage plus 2 divisions difference should prove too much for the visitors. I see Sporting Index have done some supremacy and TG markets but only for 15 of the ties unfortunately.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21 Just a quick note on my tips. Think Lincoln got lucky with a very weak Wrexham and Halifax are a stronger side on their day. Think Hereford are prime upset material and so FCUM might well be capable of doing so and obviously they have done well in the Cup in recent years. Think Mansfield are worth opposing against nearly anyone away from home and although Workington arent the best side in the BSN they have a decent enough record at home. Southport look to big to beat Wrexham and I just hope I havent missed the boat on taking Wrexham on after wanting to do so last week but didnt think Lincoln would do it.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21

Hi Ships does this mean you have sold all of the above spreads ie you backing them to score the 2nd goal before the minutes quoted?
Yes, sorry JP. I was a bit stuffed for time and didn't really explain. A few people have had the impression that Harrogate Town are a good side waiting to get out and they really clicked last Saturday. Not much evidence that they'll have to consistency to continue in the same vein and they do have some flakey elements in their forward line, but if they can hook up a similar performance to last week there is a decent chance they'll notch twice. A sell at 78. Halifax have a powerful forward line and will have Lincoln on the back foot at times. Again, their second goal is a sell at 78. Southport, whose second goal is a sell at 82, have been improving a touch and have one of the best scoring records away from home in the section. Given Wrexham's recent defensive issues there is a chance they'll get through. All three trades are risky, but with containable downsides.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21

Just logged in at Spreadex and the sell prices of the second goal have been cut - Southport are down to 78' date=' Harrogate in to 75, Halifax into 74. The only value left is in Southport, I think.[/quote'] Let me have £5 on then cut them by 2 mins each - pathetic

To be fair our recent defensive issues were simply last weekend, missing the keeper, left back and having a centre back go off injured. We were also missing our defensive midfielder. We may still be a bit weak at centre back this weekend but everyone else is back and the manager will name the strongest possible team, to get last weekend out of the system and to try and get another Cup run going. he knows the importance of it. Southport may score a few away from home but they have conceded more. I also understand that two of their starting strikers from last weekend are cup tied. Talk on their forum is that they are down to the bare bones. I am not sure it is quite the value it looked to me, as well, when the prices came out.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21 Halifax are in the middle of a spell without Jarrett, possibly the keyplayer at the moment if last week´s home defeat is anything to go on. They are also a bit threadbare and only have two outfield players on the bench at Lincoln today, Dale Johnson who has been outstanding of late is also serving a three game suspension.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21

Think all my bets lost but I couldn't care less as I have finally seen gloucester city make the 1st round of the fa cup. Seems like fcum deserved more than a 2-0 loss and Halifax weren't far away either. Sent from my HTC Desire S using PL Forum
So, who do you want in round 1 then?

We drew your lot when we lost to lowestoft funnily enough. I almost don't care as its been so long in coming I'm just glad we are actually going to be in the draw properly as it means so much to everyone involved in the club especially with what we have been through over the years. Obviously a draw that might see us on tv would be the ultimate and it would be great to play Cheltenham in a competitive game again. I would also want a draw that means I can get to the game as something like away at barrow I would be highly doubtful to make. Sent from my HTC Desire S using PL Forum

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21 The current composition of the team, besides amateurs appear the names of several former and current professional players. Oliver Barges, born in 1982. used to play for Q.P.R. and Northampton before but a serious knee injury gets him out of professional football. Currently, he is fit and stands out from the semi-professionals in the Southern League. Last season Slough Town finished second in their division and now they are at 12th place after 4 wins 1 draw and 2 losses in a pretty good goal difference of 20/8. Both teams won last round - Rebels won away at Chalfont St Peter 1-0 during the week, and Gosport Borough won 3-0 against Leamington at home. Both teams are in different divisions of the league - Slough is in First Central Division and Gosport in Premier Division. There are a lot of Barou former professionals in their squad and three of them have played for Portsmouth few seasons ago. Last season Gosport won promotion to Premier Division finishing third in its former division. This season the team is struggling and shows volatility in appearances and logically is unenviable 20th place (of 22 teams) in the Premier League. After 10 matches played Gosport have 2 wins 3 draws and 5 losses, with goal difference 15/15. In 2011 the two teams met and guests won 3-0 on their in Barou. Now things are different. The hosts have a chance again to play against a strong opponent after 8 years of waiting. We should not forget that both team areamateurs and visits are always accompanied by problems and as the guests are struggling this season they apparently have trouble playing the upper level. The "Helouey Park" expect Slough a win over the visiting team. Pick 1!

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Qualifying Oct 20-21 I saw Slough at Chalfont in midweek and to be perfectly honest they looked dire. The 1-0 win was achieved with an offside goal with just about their only shot of the game despite Chalfont having numerous injuries. It was actually a league cup game but the rules of the competion dictate that you have to field at least 7 players which have started the last two league games so it was a pretty strong side. Gosport rightly favourites but I'd want 7/4 on them, so a no bet game imo.
