Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July Regarding the Vitesse - Lokomotiv Plovdiv game, as Fedar mentioned in the previous topic, the owner of Lokomotiv has announced his retirement from the club, thus he is not going to support them financially anymore. They will still travel to Holland, but most probably will be without most of their regulars. Two defenders Rodrigues and Bengelloun will terminate their contracts in the next couple of hours, while CSKA Sofia has began negotiations for another 4 players(+ Rodrgiues and Bengelloun), namely left-back Venkov, midfielders Serginho and Zlatinski, striker Tassio. I guess by Thursday at least some of them will be CSKA players and will not travel to Holland, but nothing is sure yet. The odds have already started to fall, so I don't know how much value has left, but I guess the [email protected] or the [email protected] (both @bet365) might be worth a shot. I am not saying it will be an easy walk for Vitesse, as a matter of fact I think this will be a public bet by tonight, but still I thought I should share with you guys. Good luck if someone puts money on it. EDIT: Rodrigues, Bengelloun and Serginho have already terminated their contracts, so they are out for sure.

Thanks for the info. Looks like its the foreigners who are packing their bags first, as is usually the case in these situations, they don't give a toss about the club only the money so when that goes they vanish. I was probably one of the last to get some of the 1.3 -1AH, now down to 1.26 and likely to go down a bit further. I wouldn't go crazy on the handicaps, these situations rarely result in such a one sided tie as one hopes for and Vitesse aren't world beaters but you would expect them to win on home soil, expect a fair bit of the attacking flair to disappear from the Bulgarians (which might affect overs bets) if just domestic players are going to be called upon. 1.3 obviously isn't a great price but I got a fair whack on, that'll be it as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July Guys, I don't wanna push back the argument about the first game, but I just want to warn you to be careful with this one. I know punters will be seriously attacking handicaps for Vitesse, but I am not so sure they will come easily. For me, nothing is certain in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if Loko Plovdiv's owner surprisingly reverses his initial decision to step back. It is all very weird. My advise for this game is to go for "total goals" scored, because I have the feeling that it is going to be a high-scoring game once again. Also, despite the supposed damage to Loko Pd's firepower, maybe you could try with smaller amounts "Loko Pd to score a goal", or even "Loko Pd goals: above 1.5". They sound unlikely at first sight, but I have a feeling they might come up.

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July Gandzasar vs Servette Under 2.5 @ 1.91 (188bet) 5/10 Armenian sides are very underish at home in Europe, with 11 out of the last 13 home Europa League ties going under 2.5 goals. Gandzasar in particular are a very underish team. So far this season in their domestic games there has been an average of 1.71 goals per game, and last season they were similar. Servette are relatively average in terms of over/unders; their domestic games last season averaged 2.88 goals, so it's fair to say they are an overs side, but nothing spectacular. The first leg finished 2-0, with both of the goals coming in the second half, although Servette were dominant. They are back in Europe after quite a few years absence, and I think they will be happy just to see the tie out in an unusual, possibly intimidating location. I think a low scoring game is more likely than the odds suggest.

Servette has lost first two matches at home 0-1 each. They created some chances, but were not very clinical in using them. In the back, they were decent as long as not pushed too hard. I would assume as well that they will come mainly to defend, as the will probably be missing 5 or 6 players due to injury. Sounds like an interesting bet to me.

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July Last week I tipped the "under" for my favorite CSKA Sofia vs. Mura in Slovenia. It came out very easily at very good price. Now there is the return game. Last time I told you that CSKA just sold their one-man forward star - Brazilian J.Moraes, and they are left upfront with just one man - Irishman Kilian Sheridan. Well, he got red-carded in Slovenia, so now basically CSKA will be playing without a striker. In the first game, the situation was the following: Mura staying in defense and rarely crossing the mid-field, CSKA retaining about 65% of possession, nevertheless, they did not manage to get a single good change on goal for the whole game, although they were man up for about half and hour, before Sheridan got his card. I honestly don't see the game in Sofia as being very different than that one. Of course, the home soil and the crowd will make some difference, but I hardly see CSKA scoring more than a goal, at most two. CSKA Sofia - Mura: Under 2.5 @ 1.95 (365)

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July Inter Turku vs Twente Two "overish" teams, Inter this season have 3,33 goals per game and Twente had 3,76 average last season. Strong and aggressive Finns have reached satisfactory result in the first match (1:1), but I doubt that their tactic for tonight will be a match without goals, especially because the Dutch will go a very offensive from the start. It is true Twente had lost the three best strikers last season (Janko, de Jong and Ola John) and newcomer Bulykin is not registered, but there are Tadic, Chadli and Plet. Home team play regular domestic season and that with home ground is advantage for them. They are a leaders, beat 6:0 last placed team four days ago. Both teams have defensive absences. Crvena Zvezda vs Naftan My team is much better of these two, but they played awful in 2nd half in Belarus. However, win is win (4:3). Tonight is expected a huge support from the stands and players are very motivated. No important missings. On the other hand, away side will be without a few key players like in the first leg. This time, there is no their manager who is with NT. But they'll be gunning for goals after corners or free kicks (then all "the Soviet" teams are very dangerous) and Zvezda defense is still not working well, what we saw in the first match. Of course I expect a convincing victory for home side, but perhaps Belarusians can score one goal. Over is most likely. both games over 2,5 @2.56 at local min stake

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July FK Celik Niksic vs Metalurh Donetsk Under 2.5 @ 2.65 (Bodog) 2.5/10 The first game finished 7-0 to Met Donetsk but I can see a low scoring game in the second leg, these are the games in which unders tends to be priced highly purely because of the first leg score. Celik are probably not as bad as people think, they were described as a 2nd tier Montenegrin side but in fact won the 2nd tier at a canter last season, so they are now in the first tier. In the first leg they had to travel by bus, a long-winded journey which took them about three days due to visa problems...I'm sure this contributed to the 7-0. They got past a Bosnian side the round before and they will look to get a result here for the sake of pride, they certainly won't be serious about winning 7-0 against a side much better than them. Celik's season doesn't start for a while whilst Metalurh have a game on Sunday. I think they will play a weakened side. It will be quite hot (28C) in Montenegro and I feel there is a greater chance than the odds suggest of a low key, underish game here.

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July Elsborg v FC Dacia Chisinau Elfsborg are one of my favourite teams at home in these early rounds of the Europa League, in the first game Dacia won 1-0 with an excellent free kick from about 25-30 yards, other than that the stats look pretty equal and all in all Elfsborg viewed it as a disappointing result with the assistant coach saying they approached the game in too negative a manner. Elfsborg are excellent at home on their artificial pitch, they have won 9 of their 10 competitive games there this season and haven't conceded a goal in the last 7 home games in all conceded 2 goals in 10 home games. In the last round they knocked 8 past Floriana and while I doubt that will be repeated I'm confident they will go through. If we look a bit closer at their European form again at home it is generally very good, they have won 8 of their last 10 which includes victories over Lazio and Braga (that was in 2009 though so have little relevance!) and only conceded in 3 of those 10 games, 1 of which was a Cavani double for Napoli. Their artificial pitch gives them a massive advantage, and their league and european results improve massively when they are at home. Dacia are a fairly typical Moldovan outfit, dogged, defensive, seem to be better at home than away. Failed to score in the previous two seasons away against similar level opposition in Kalmar (also from Sweden) and Zestafoni (who I think a few of us backed in that game? Won 3-0). Team news, Jawo (12/2) is out for Elfsborg who is a regular starter other than that there doesn't seem to be anything major and they rested a couple of players at the weekend, not sure if that was with this game in mind though. They might rotate some players as they are currently top of the Allsvenskan, I can't really find out anything about that, they will certainly want to continue in the comp though and a 1-0 loss in the first leg is sure to focus minds. There isn't likely to be a big crowd unfortunately. I can't find much team news about Dacia their coach commented on their preperations for the game: 'We woke up at 4 in the morning and arrived to Boras Sadium one hour before workout. If I feel tired, then the players too, and even more so. But there is nothing wrong with that, we have a whole day to recover. More importantly, get used to the field at the stadium. Personally I have never seen such a field and do not come across. It even prickly and not understand how to attack it. Most importantly - get used to the field, and tomorrow in the battle. There are no discounts for fatigue, or some other secondary factors, we will not do. Do not see the point'. Err..well you might be able to understand some of that, translate programs have their limitations! Surprisingly betfair have again offered the best odds, this has happened a couple of times this season in these games, I was ready to take the 1.87 bwin offered for the clean sheet then it dropped to 1.75, I checked on betfair and it was available at evens! Seems a great price to me, bet365 have it at 1.66 and stanjames 1.57 for example. I'm also having a play on the AH, the line is at -1.25AH which is probably fair, I'm also having a bit of the -1.5AH at evens. Think this will finish 2 or 3-0. Elfsborg Clean Sheet - 1.99-2.0 - betfair - 10 Points Elfsborg -1.25AH - 1.82 - pinnacle - 5 Points Elfsborg -1.5AH - 2.0 - bet365 - 2.5 Points Elfsborg 2-0 - 6.5 - hills - 0.5 Points Elfsborg 3-0 - 8.5 - bet365 - 0.5 Points

I've taken this one too but taken the 1.45 available on under 3 goals, I always like to have that extra bit of cover on unders bets as long as the prices aren't too daft. There appears to be little argument or statistical reason for it going over 2.5, and looks a good call.

FK Celik Niksic vs Metalurh Donetsk Under 2.5 @ 2.65 (Bodog) 2.5/10 The first game finished 7-0 to Met Donetsk but I can see a low scoring game in the second leg, these are the games in which unders tends to be priced highly purely because of the first leg score
Yes, good point. If this a way to find value, then it might also apply to Portadown v Slaven Koprivnica playing at 19.45 tonight. Slaven lead 6-0 from the first leg and under 2.5 goals is available at 2.3 with a few bookies

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July

Elsborg v FC Dacia Chisinau Elfsborg are one of my favourite teams at home in these early rounds of the Europa League, in the first game Dacia won 1-0 with an excellent free kick from about 25-30 yards, other than that the stats look pretty equal and all in all Elfsborg viewed it as a disappointing result with the assistant coach saying they approached the game in too negative a manner. Elfsborg Clean Sheet - 1.99-2.0 - betfair - 10 Points :cheers Elfsborg -1.25AH - 1.82 - pinnacle - 5 Points :cheers Elfsborg -1.5AH - 2.0 - bet365 - 2.5 Points :cheers Elfsborg 2-0 - 6.5 - hills - 0.5 Points :cheers Elfsborg 3-0 - 8.5 - bet365 - 0.5 Points
Routine 2-0 win for Elfsborg, they controlled possession and took their chances. Dacia rarely threatened.

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July

Last week I tipped the "under" for my favorite CSKA Sofia vs.
Final Score: 1-1 Saddest won bet ever.

Re: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg > 26 July

Inter Turku 0:5 Twente :clap Two "overish" teams, Inter this season have 3,33 goals per game and Twente had 3,76 average last season. Crvena Zvezda 3:3 Naftan :clap My team is much better of these two, but they played awful in 2nd half in Belarus. Over is most likely. both games over 2,5 @2.56 at local min stake :cigar:cigar
The story is completed in the first half hour of these games confirming great midweek with all winning bets (@2,75 and @2.04 in CL round). @HastGill well done too ;)
