Re: Poker Player Mag PPUK Tour Satellite Thread, ongoing Smelling salts to Hampshire... smelling salts to Hampshire please... Wp Andy & Al too who also deserved to get there. It's just down to luck in flips at the end really, could've been any of us making it.

cheers Al - very unlucky. Most excellent work - particularly impressed with your aggression tonight Bart - see you in Coventry.
Cheers mate, still learning lots from just being around you guys a lot and late-game aggression is something that is usually severely lacking in my game. Always difficult to get the balance between calculated aggression and unneccessary risk-taking, think it worked out ok tonight, but still learning. Brighton for $6 and now Coventry for $4, liking the PPUKT and this heater! Will be a % of any winnings to BHF in memory of Robbie ofc as it was in Brighton. Big overlay again tonight, much love to PokerPlayer Mag & Grosvenor for their continued support of UK amateur players :notworthy * Still waiting on a date for mums hip op, so very slight chance I won't make it but will have someone on standby in case of a late t/f

Re: Poker Player Mag PPUK Tour Satellite Thread, ongoing The next $3.30 mag exclusive satellite (to Coventry leg) is tonight at 8pm with the usual 15x seats to the online final up for grabs. Reg is now open and I've already messaged PokerPlayer regarding the "unexpected" bit when regging. Will not state more than that publically here for obvious reasons. Although I have also currently reg'd in support of both PokerPlayer & Grosvenor, currently weighing up the morals of playing effectively only for the added expenses value in the final (still good value imo) against possibly adversely affecting the chances of another player making the live event. It goes without saying that I would give away any 2nd binked seat for $nil but would maybe reserve the right to retain a small % in them. Will advise more in due course, but may personally drop out and/or sit out.

Re: Poker Player Mag PPUK Tour Satellite Thread, ongoing I don't think it would be right for me to play and I would hate to mess up the chances of anyone else, let alone a friend from PL, so I've unreg'd and will not take part in these. I will however pop in at some point tonight and rail my PL friends into the online final like I've never railed before ;) Go Go PL Chaaaaaaaaaaaarge! :drums

Re: Poker Player Mag PPUK Tour Satellite Thread, ongoing I did try, but... with 9 left, me and one other see the flop that contains an ace and not much else (barring the fact that it was all hearts)... I was naturally happy to see I'd called his all-in with a leading hand... A/Q versus his A/4... No prizes for guessing what happens next, and it's nothing to do with hearts... I'd have been 4th then, but was out instead... of course, the 4-Man qualifies for the live game. bleh

I did try' date=' but... with 9 left, me and one other see the flop that contains an ace and not much else (barring the fact that it was all hearts)... I was naturally happy to see I'd called his all-in with a leading hand... A/Q versus his A/4... No prizes for guessing what happens next, and it's nothing to do with hearts... I'd have been 4th then, but was out instead... of course, the 4-Man qualifies for the live game. bleh[/quote'] At late stages of tournaments these kind of flips happen. I lost heads up qualifier for WSOPE when big chip leader and my AQ was beaten by my opponents K2 and he hit his King. Last night on bubble of $20,000 QQ's beaten by A10 when 3 way all in and other hand AJ and the A10 hits trip 10's on flop. Its part of the game. frustrating but you have to deal with it and move on to next game. So long as you got your money in good and keep playing that way you will win.

Re: Poker Player Mag PPUK Tour Satellite Thread, ongoing Possibly Andy, I've already booked a family room at the Travelodge-Bedworth (cost me £30.25 a few weeks ago), but now might not be able to attend myself. Won't know for definate for a few days whether I will be able to attend or whether I can transfer my entry to a fellow PL'er. Obviously if I transfer, you might be able to come to an agreement with my sub to share but only fair they get first dibs. Will pm you in a few days when more known.
