Re: Weekend > League 2 > 23-24 March Cheltenham v Oxford I think there may be some value in backing Oxford at 3.25. They have been on a good run lately, have just got into the playoff zone, and are now 3 points behind Cheltenham, who have been on a poor run and slipped down the table. This is also a fairly local game, and Oxford will be sure to take quite a few fans to the game. http://www.soccerway.com/matches/2012/03/24/england/league-two/cheltenham-town-fc/oxford-united-fc/1119545/ Oxford AH0 (Same as Draw No Bet) 2.2 Bet 365

Re: Weekend > League 2 > 23-24 March Wimbledon vs Burton - Both teams to score @ 8/13 (PaddyPower) Not much value but this is a near certainty. Both teams have played 19 games home/away. In 16 of their home games, Wimbledon have had BTTS, whilst it's 12 for Burton. This means a 71% chance of it happening in this game. I'd be amazed it didn't come off. On a similar note, Bradford vs Gillingham (69% likely), Crawley vs Rotherham (68% likely) and Northampton vs Plymouth (66%) are all ones to consider if anybody (like me) does a BTTS accumulator each week.

Re: Weekend > League 2 > 23-24 March Macclesfield vs Barnet: I am going to post this one up as the game tonight certainly may attract attention as it is the only game to be played tonight in the English football calendar. Macclesfield have a new manager in Brian Horton. They lost their first game in charge under him midweek with a 4-2 loss at Rotherham. Normally in them type of away games with Macc especially under Gary Simpson you would get them playing anti-football. 10 Men behing the ball with them just playing it long, this normally resulted in low scoring defeats for Macc even at the top sides. However, on Tuesday they lost 4-2 to managerless Rotherham. This possibly could be the start of a new changed approach being brought in by Houghton. At home however Macclesfield do tend to score goals, with them not drawing a blank at Moss Rose since a 0-0 vs Rotherham in December. Barnet are known for their very leaky defence (2nd worst defensive record in the table) yet the presence of Izale McCleoud, the divisions joint-top goalscorer really does show some high scoring games from them. McCleoud scored midweek to end his recent drought infront of goal and the bees have found the net in their last 4 away trips. Over 2.5 Goals - 1.98 Ladbrokes

Re: Weekend > League 2 > 23-24 March

I recently started looking at that so I'm glad you posted that. What's the return on your weekly accumulator? Is it worth it?
I usually get a one come in every other week, in decent profit from it. 7 game max, odds usually about 30/1. It's decent fun for a few quid, and occasionally there'll be weeks when all leagues go goal crazy. Easier than betting on match results.

Couple of quid on up to 7 teams, no more otherwise you find yourself missing out. I won £37 a few weeks back and was 2 goals off on another 32/1 shot last week. AFC Wimbledon and one other letting me down. Its a bit of fun, like you say, as it keeps the bet alive fore 90+ minutes. On the betting front in L2 this week, I like the look of Accrington Stanley DNB @ 1/1 with Bet365. Paul Cook's new loan signings are starting to fit in now, and Accy are unbeaten in 5. Whereas Dag & Red blow hot and cold at home, with their only wins recently coming against a struggling Macclesfield and Bradford who do sometimes struggle for goals. I feel Accy are more than capable of taking a point here.

Result: Cheltenham 0 Oxford 0 Bet void From the BBC report I read, it sounds as though Cheltenham had the better of the game, and Oxford were perhaps a bit lucky to get a draw.
