Re: PokerPlayer Magazine Tour 2012 - next leg Leeds (Oct 27th/28th) Well done Helen, you iz da (wo)mannnnnnn :clap Nice to finally meet Avongirl and Runadrum, Ooblio and GirlyWirly, Andy Bell, Marcin for the first time. Thanks to Andy for the drink that just kept on giving ;) :cheers Think my chips peaked at about 11k, and that was inside the first 10 minutes. Never managed to adjust my game for the absolute calling station on my left, which was entirely my fault not his. He got rewarded for bad play so many times, against most of the rest of the table, yet still managed to be one of the first 25-30 out which says it all. I should have tightened up and waited for the inevitable but didn't, to my detriment. Rhino and I managed to make about £50 profit between us on roulette, from small risks of £5 and £2.50 respectively, so it wasn't entirely unprofitable. Will probably think of more

Re: PokerPlayer Magazine Tour 2012 - next leg Leeds (Oct 27th/28th) Thanks everyone for the virtual and real railing, especially Duncan who, as this was local to us and we were at home overnight, was given the option of leaving me to it today and staying home watching the Grand Prix instead of potentially standing around for hours tapping updates into his phone. :notworthy Was great to meet Pete and Simon for the first time yesterday (hope you had a great day at the Media Museum today Pete) and also to see Donna, Mark, Dave, Andy and Marcin again. Had had a steady day yesterday, never getting much below starting stack but also not keeping up with the average until late on when I got a massive double up from the table raiser. Had my share of big hands and was more than happy to end the day over 100k. Returning today I found out I was 4th of 16 in chips and had early action taking out 2 of the shorter stacks in the same hand with AA. Then lost most of what I'd gained within a couple of hands with QQ against an AK all in. Blinded away for a while, then took out a super short stack leaving us with 13, paying 11. (119 entrants pays 11, apparently one more entrant would have meant 13 paid, go figure that :unsure) At this point I'm the only person doing any work whittling down the numbers! Eventually we got down to 12 without my help and do a deal for the bubble, then down to final table of 10 not too long after. PokerPlayer Mag take a group photo (oh great!). I'm well below average now and mostly getting nothing playable (in between the 3 times AA) and am shoving my 4BB stack before I hit the blinds when I see the K (even though its friend is a 2 which I usually avoid playing), hoping I might just get the raise through as I've had such big hands the last few times I've showed. But I'm called by JT who hits a straight to take me out in 6th for £600. Get whisked away for a (my first ever) post-match interview ("I hear you final tabled the Goliath last year..." :lol) but when quizzed about any big hands I played I struggle to remember anything at all about them! (I'm going to have to start taking notes for my book) I think I can keep the Best Poker Player In The House At The Moment badge for now, and as this will take me over £10k lifetime live winnings I am chasing the main title. :ok

As an online qualifier you are automatically entered into the PPUKT Shoal Survivor last longer competition against all other online qualifiers to the PPUKT Grand Final. Should you outlast your online qualifying competitors, you will win a seat to another PPUKT Main Event! If you have any questions then feel free to get in touch with me.
