Their quality is by far better than their table situation. They have great strikers Radu and Auer, good players on the wings and good gameplay at home. Two weeks ago they won to St. Pauli (2-1), their defeats at home were at the beginning of the season and they improved a lot since then. Streit (RM) is doubtful. Rostock bought some new players and played good last weekend against Duisburg (4-2). They are for sure better than in 2011, but still the much weaker side than Aachen. Aachen is in relegation danger, also, so they will play with good motivation against Rostock and should not underrate them. Odds are not correct for Goal Line and Aachen to win. However, it rather is a bet against Aue than a bet on Braunschweig. But in fact, Aue is the worst team of the league by far. Rostock have improved, Ingolstadt have improved, FSV Frankfurt have improved and Karlsruhe have improved. But Aue still make a worse impression than in 2011. Their only new signing in the winter was Halil Savran who came from Union Berlin but he has made a poor impression so far. Aue***8217;s manager Rico Schmitt, who will likely be sacked after a defeat tonight, changed their formation in the winter break. They always used to play in a 4-2-3-1 system with Ronny König as their only striker which worked pretty well but because they signed Savran, they now play 4-2-2-2 system. Due to the fact that their fixture against 1860 was postponed last week, they only had one game in 2012 so far. They lost it 2:1 in Karlsruhe and their performance was awful. I watched the game over 90 minutes and I rubbed my eyes in disbelief several times. They played 11 vs 10 for half an hour against the weakest defense of the league and they were unable to create just any goalscoring opportunity! Their new tactical system works extremely bad. Last week they had a friendly match against Rot-Weiss Erfurt from 3. Bundesliga which they won 3:1 but according to several reports, they showed another bad performance in this game and the 3:1 was not the fair result. To make a long story short, Aue have the poorest squad of the league, a big crisis, a lot of pressure and a new tactical system which does not work. Braunschweig have also not convinced in 2012 so far. Nonetheless, their defense did a good job so far and generally they have a strong defense. Hence I cannot see them conceding a goal against this joke offensive from Aue to be honest. Generally, Braunschweig is a team which I appreciate in away games. They lately had some problems but it is not a shame to lose 2:1 when playing away against Eintracht Frankfurt who are so strong at the moment. Braunschweig***8217;s big advantage are their fast attackers. Braunschweig have the fastest offensive players from the league and the fastest team in general. Braunschweig***8217;s technical ability is not the best at all and this is the reason why I expect a boring Monday night game but all their players, except Damir Vrancic, are so fast. This is somehow the concept of manager Thorsten Lieberknecht. He only uses very fast players and this could be a major advantage tonight due to two reasons: First of all, Aue***8217;s defense is known as being a very slow one. Thomas Paulus, Rene Klingbeil and Adil Lachheb are not really fast. This could cause some serious problems for the hosts. Secondly, the pitch will not be in a great condition and small and fast players have an advantage on this ground. Another good point is that Braunschweig***8217;s team is very young and has no attitude problems which means that they will definitely fight on this pitch and not acting arrogant like a few other teams did in the past when playing in Aue. To sum up all this, I can absolutely not see Braunschweig losing here. Draw is possible, though, if Aue will fight and if Braunschweig will not have a good day. But an away victory is so much more likely than a home victory ***8230; the level line is simply terrific here and worths taking big.

Re: Bundesliga II, 17/20 Feb FT 1:1 +/- 0.00 u Aue were as awful as expected but Braunschweig did not convince, neither. Nevertheless a bit unlucky because a 100% certain goal not given by the referee for Braunschweig in the 88th minute. Still another great weekend with 5 wins , 1 void and 1 loss.

Re: Bundesliga II, 17/20 Feb The camera didn't show it clearly, but I think when the Braunschweig defender cleared the ball, the striker was offside. I'm not absolutely clear on the offside law, but I think although the Aue defender then horribly tried to head the ball back to the keeper, only for the striker to run onto it... he was offside due to the fact he was originally offside from the defensive clearance by his own team. At the same time, Aue hit the crossbar during the second half, and Kempe should have scored in the 86th minute, but the keeper made a great save to keep Braunschweig in the game. Braunschweig were much improved overall in the second half. Anyway, thanks again Benny! I went with my traditional +0.5 on your tip and also laid Aue much more heavily after they went 1-0 up!
