Re: Ligue 2 - 10-13 February I find very very difficult to navigate this forum, the older version was better! Here goes my last preview and post on the PL Forum. Monaco - Bastia

...the wind of change... Today we look at the match of the round no 23 of the French championship in League 2, Monaco vs Bastia. Who would have thought that these two well known french teams Monaco and Bastia come together in the second division, and one of them will fight for survival? Very strange to see the sole representative of Monaco among outsiders of League 2. Monaco is in the relegation zone, and even as recently as 2004, Monaco was neither more nor less than a finalist for the Champions League in 2004. Last season, the club said goodbye to League 1. However, the crisis hit in all, and sport suffers. Last year, the situation was even worse, and it would seem that they will drop even lower, but the new year 2012, team started with a new president. Monaco began a new period. A new owner - new prospects and new high ambitions and extra motivation. They hold the Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev (placed in 93 place in Forbes' billionaire's list for 2011 year), who promised to invest 100 million euro in club in the next 4 years.. from the first day he began to pump money into the club. Of course, the infusion of capital is always fruitful effect on the results of the team. There are new players and put. Now Monaco has a very decent team. The attack worked at full speed, and defense is trying to keep up. However, if on the road team has made several victories already, at is still full of brushwood. A new owner - new perspectives, new high ambitions and an additional motivation. So, during break Monaco has made some good acquisitions. So, were bought goalkeeper Danijel Subasic of the croatian side Split, defenders Gary Kagelmacher (from Beerschot) and Andreas Wolf (from Werder Bremen), attacking midfielder Barazite (from Austria Viena) and Dirar (Brugges), midfielder Tziolis (from Racing Santander). Also in the winter window Monaco striker was bought from the UAE Ibrahim Toure, on account of which 18 goals in 29 games last season and 7 goals in 10 games this season for his club Ajman. In general, the composition of Monaco is quite good, by such players as Helstad, Vahirua, Dumont, Yatabare, Hansson, Carasso. In addition, they have such experienced player Ludovic Giuly - known to many. What has been missing club? Probably just not enough motivation, and that doomed the situation at the club, pressioned on the players. Now everything is different, the goal of the team, there is a fresh cash infusion. And what else it takes to win? Despite the purchase of 2 defenders Gary Kagelmacher and Andreas Wolf, was and remains a problematic area in just the Monaco defense team. In the last match won in Monaco during a meeting with Lens leading 2-0, what else is needed, one might ask? Of course, protect result, but back to back attacking Lens side broke the gate and threatened dangerous moments for Monaco. Any overhang into the penalty area ended with danger for Monaco. It is clear that newcomers will not play immediately well, and to demand from the first games is impossible, but rushed into the eyes of a rather weak overall level of defense that even just make a fine could not have the ball outside theyr own field. Today, Monaco are going for three points, but much more serious contender than Lens visits Stade Louis II: Bastia with ambitions to promote in ligue 1, like fellow countrymen from Corsica, Ajaccio who are there already. Bastia are the most in-form team from the 2nd division: 6-2-2 20-8 lat 10 games. For this match the corsican team will be weakened in attack: striker Khazri (20/6) suspended and the other striker Maoulida (17/8) injured - only one striker available, Guineea's Abdoulaye Diallo (17/5) recenly coming from CAF. At first on this match was assigned referee Seb Moreira, then he was replaced last day by Antony Gautier. Bastia dont have nice memories with this referee: only this season they've lost previous season to Auxerre (L1) in the cup 0-4, and were deleted two players min 25 and 35 with direct red cards. Gautier previously gived another red in 2009/10 when Bastia won against Strasbourg 1-0. His stats this season: Ligue 2 has 1 game - 1 red card & Ligue 1, 11 games - 47 yellows - 5 red cards. Bastia's main strikers are out and the new apointment for this referee is rather strange decision - imo Bastia will get the red card, has anyone saw any of Bastia's games? I doubt. I did and not once, theyr defenders simply "broke legs" and no wonder why they receive straight red - this apply for Ajaccio, there is no football fair-play in Corsica, any visiting's team players will suffer after they are up against either Bastia or Ajaccio, away in Corsica. I offer to you today to put the match on handicap -1 Monaco and other bet: individual total goals Monaco Over 1.5 goals. With Bet365: 1. Monaco -1.5 AH (Monaco by two goals or more) @ 6.00 - risk 4u to win 20u 2. Monaco Goals: Over 1.5 @ 2.62 risk 6u to win 9.72u
