How about if we create a Championship table with the top 10 finishers in each tournament getting points. Maybe allocated something like this:- 1st - 15 pts 2nd - 11pts 3rd - 8 pts 4th - 7 pts 5th - 6pts 6th - 5pts 7th - 4pts 8th - 3pts 9th - 2pts 10th -1pt The Championship could run for 10 tournaments then the overall Champion of the Tables would be crowned. Would it be possible to get sponsors to contribute a cash prize for the championship winner(s)? Just a thought, see what you all reckon? A point for entering 3 Points for final table 6 for 3rd place 12 for 2nd 20 for first Obviously the amounts might need tweaking, and if we get more entrants you have to award all the money places prizes...... BillyHills does a lot for PL, IMO, and wouldn't be expected to run the Championship as well. Would the scoring count on every tournament, what i mean by that is that obviously people cant make it every time or would it be the best so many scores taken into account, the other thing is that newcomers will be disadvantaged by playing less tournaments, so something like the best 7 scores out of last 10 and you can drop the three worst scores or no shows. Thanks for the concern TNB (and the idea) but i dont mind doing the calculations and knocking up a table, its no problem. I'll look at the two we have had and show how we would be standing right now. Jezza Posted January 27, 2005 Share Posted January 27, 2005 Re: Punters Lounge Poker II Result The formula that the local casino use to create their league has all the points added up if you see what I mean so if you won then you would get 1 point for turning up + 3 for final + 20 for winning = 24 points. It's true that someone joining in halfway thru a league is at a loss as other people have got 1 point just for playing in the other games but I feel this should stay and every tournament should count as it rewards regulars and encourages people to play. You can let the league run for 10 weeks or so and then start again so people joining halfway thru one dont have THAT long to wait before the slate is clean again so to speak (and someone can be crowned PL poker league champ for 10weeks). I will try and play in as many of the tourny's as possible however i work shifts so unlikely I will play every event. Just have to make sure I win every event i play in I guess.
