Re: France Ligue 2 - 28-31 October Sport Football (France) Event Nantes - Lens Selection Nantes Strength 10/10 Date 31/10/2011 Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 2.30 Reasoning Nantes are playing well at home having only lost to Bastia in the first game. Since then they've been held by Le Mans(a draw specialist) to a draw and won against Guingamp, Istres and Clermont. Lens on the other hand are in bad shape. They scored only 2 in their last 5 conceding 7. Their record against Nantes doesn't look good either. In the last 4 played in Nantes, they lost 3 and got a draw. Considering the current form and the teams that Nantesc defeated at home, I think Nantes should win this one, 2-0 2-1.

Although I am also leaning toward the HW, I see no reason quoting H2H games 5 or more years ago, no help at all. In fact H2H should be the last thing to consider - players, Managers, sponsors and owners change often enough to cancel most of the H2H effect...

Re: France Ligue 2 - 28-31 October Nantes-Lens = over (2.25) bet365 stake 3 / 10 Nantes position 11° points 16 Lens position 18° points 13 Preview: Nantes: injured: Rudy Riou (goalkeeper 11 / 0); Suspended: Jonathan Martins Pereira (defender 9 / 1). Lens: Suspended: Cichero (defender 8 / 0); Injured: Toure (defender 3 / 0), Toudic (forward 4 / 0). Nantes has a score in-house w3-d1-l1 goals scored 9 goals against 4 while the lens has a score out of the house-w1-d1-l3 goals scored 5 goals against 10. The Nantes is relegated to Ligue 2 in 2009 and is looking to return to the top flight without success. Also this year he started the season so disappointing so far from promotion objectives. Same thing can be said of the team relegated Lens in Ligue 2 last season, which so far is doing a horrible season. The lens does not win a game with 6 rounds of championship and cup in France. In the end it is a match between two teams who have experience in the top flight and then I think about a game with many goals have also seen significant absences in the two teams, especially in defense. Over very low stakes Nantes has not lost in any of the last 5 meetings. When playing at home, Nantes has never lost against Lens in the last five meetings. In the last 14 games at home playing with Nantes, Nantes has won 7 times, I have matched Lens has won 3 and 4. The goal difference is 17-10 in favor of Nantes. :hope:hope:hope

Re: France Ligue 2 - 28-31 October Nantes - Lens over 2.5 @ 2.27 pinnacle Nantes - Lens over 3.5 @ 4.00 bet365 Nantes have been playing well at home where they have won 3 and drawn 1 of their 5 home games, and while they have scored 9 goals in not losing their last 4 home games, they have conceded in two of those games. Overall, they have scored and conceded in 6 of their last 7 games, and with one of their defenders out, they will probably concede once again. Lens have struggled this season and should not put too much of a fight here as they have won 1 of their 5 away games. They have allowed at least two goals in 4 of these games, and while they have scored in 3 of these away games, they have not done enough to get all 3 points. Like them to score here, as Nantes do concede, but with a couple of defenders out, would not be surprised they give up at least two goals yet again. Over looks likely, and maybe even more.

Re: France Ligue 2 - 28-31 October I'll come back into the fray with this selection ... - Nantes -0.25AH (v Lens at Stade de la Beaujoire) @ 1.962 with Pinnacle 6pts A month ago, you wouldn't have caught me playing this line, but the two clubs have gone in very different directions since then. Lens were many people's tips for promotion but they have really toiled recently. It appears their 2-2 draw away at Bastia, where they were pegged back from 2-0 down and were involved in a riot in the end, has impacted on them. A 2-0 home loss to Guingamp and a thumping at Marseille in the cup last week have not helped them, and although their players look good on paper, they appear a little out of sync. Part of the problem is in defence. Alaeddine Yahia has been poor by his standards and Venezuelan Gabriel Cichero, a decent player, is on a lengthy suspension. They are also unsure whether to play club captain Hamdi Kasraoui in goal or Mickael Fabre. There is uncertainty in that sector. The midfield hasn't clicked too. Pascal Berenguer has played very well since arriving from Nancy but Pierre Ducasse has been a let-down. Neither Samba Sow or the young Geoffrey Kondogbia have excelled either. Nantes have gone in the other direction since then. Their youngsters - Adrien Trebel, Jordan Veretout in midfield, and Florian Raspentino in attack - all look confident and talented. Nantes' loss at Boulogne last time out was, in part, down to Trebel's absence. He's a seriously talented player and one who can make a difference here. I also feel Nantes have a strong defence these days. Olivier Veigneau, Jonathan Martins de Peirrera and Matheus Vivian are experienced and offer a bit more protection. Les canaris are without keeper Rudy Riou, which is a blow, so Erwin Zelazny comes in, who is adequate enough. Filip Djordjevic also offers a veritable outlet up front. He missed the start of the season and there's no coincidence their upturn has perfect symmetry with his return. Theres's 20,000 people expected for tonight's match, a sign of how Nantes have improved. They look a handier, more confident outfit than Lens at present. Landry Chauvin has done a good job in gelling this side together and I think they'll take the points tonight. I respect Lens' players, so some draw cover is essential, but I reckon the hosts have a nice chance this evening.

Although I am also leaning toward the HW' date=' I see no reason quoting H2H games 5 or more years ago, no help at all. In fact H2H should be the last thing to consider - players, Managers, sponsors and owners change often enough to cancel most of the H2H effect...[/quote'] I dunno man, maybe. But how come some teams beat other teams every year, like Lazio beats Cagliari away and loses against Cagliari at home. I mean, Cagliari are strong enough to beat a lot of good teams at home and Lazio aren't that impressive really at the moment. They're good, but not that good really. Still they administered Cagliari another thrashing and I knew they would. In Romania for example there are teams that beat the crap out of Steaua, every year. I think it's the morale of always having beaten up a team that helps ... or something. In Nantes - Lens game indeed, I haven't noticed that the matches where aaagees ago. I always check the H2H, so it was part of the ritual of studying a game, but this time I was in a hurry and I haven't noticed the games they played were so old. Sorry for that ... I should have known that these 2 teams haven't played much one with the other recently as Lens only relegated last year.

Yet things now change quicker. I waited for ages for Spurs to beat Chelsea and Arsenal though...And I never thought we can turn Arsenal at the Emirates from 2-0 down...

There are some examples in Ligue 2 too. Clermont last win at home against Chateauroux, where 15-20 years ago, but they beat them this season
