Jimmy2shoes
Re: Flat racing - Tuesday 19th April Whats hot from - Sportinglife.com Crown Choice 6/1 from 10/1 3.10 Pontefract Although Walter Swinburn's six-year-old's best form has come over seven furlongs, the six furlongs at Pontefract takes some getting. Well respected money has been seen this morning, and it would be a surprise if Adam Kirby wasn't there or there abouts

south_eastern_ram
Re: Flat racing - Tuesday 19th April Agree with those on Tombi, on at 10/1 but a hefty rule 4 now with Hoof it being taken out. Was a bit of money around i think even before the favourite was taken out. If ready should go well.

Falbrav
Re: Flat racing - Tuesday 19th April ALIVE AND KICKING 4.10 Pontefract. 0.5 points each way. Debutant and will need to be on toes to beat the favourite, but expected to make up int a useful horse and take the favourite out of this race and it does look quite ordinary. The trip and ground shouldn't be a concern and apparently working well enough to warrant each way support at big odds today on first run. Verisimilitude
Re: Flat racing - Tuesday 19th April Masai Moon 4.30 Southwell. 0.5 points each way. Recent form leaves him a bit to find, but had a decent break and could return on his game. Gets in off a mark of 85, so with knowing he acts on the track and over the distance, he does have every chance of a win on his better form. Price makes the bet. south_eastern_ram
Re: Flat racing - Tuesday 19th April 4.40 Pontefract - Titan Triumpth 7/1 WH I'm on Count Bertoni at 33/1 earlier but is now into 14/1 best price, that's a more acceptable price imo. The draw is the main problem with this one, 14 is very wide and not ideal but at 33/1 was worth a punt. He's ran well since switching yards to David O'Meara, won a claimer at Southwell and ran well at Donny in a competitive handicap when running towards the middle of the track when the stands rail may have been preferred. Won off a high mark last year and over this trip, may prefer the ground a bit slower but is unexposed over quick ground so unfair to dismiss. Onto my other selection which is still at a fair price i think. Rated low 80's on the a/w he's been running well in decent handicaps recently so will be fit coming here. Comes here off 69 and is still unproven on turf. When last seen on turf has been running in the big handicaps off much higher marks, won a maiden on good ground and placed on quick ground back in 2007. Comes here in a class 5 handicap which is much weaker than he's used to. Hold up tactics are concerning so Jim Crowley needs to produce this one right. Yard in top form and he could make a mockery of this mark.

Form of jockey Jamie Spencer at the track the last 30 days is very good to follow. He's ridden 8 times here the last 30 days winning 2, 2 second, and 1 finished third. This is his third booked ride of the day and he has one left after this one. The selction was for a faller for his National Hunt debut. Her other run was on Turf for Paul Cole where he finished 6th. Henderson have only sent two to the AW the last 5 seasons but they raced well enough to follow this one. Her previous two runners finished 1st and 3rd. He's ridden 8 times here the last 30 days winning 2, 2 second, and 1 finished third. This is his last ride booked ride of the day. The selection faces a tough field but top jockey being booked might enable him to get pass them. He placed well in hi second run when staying on for clear second. He also ran well when last seen 200 days ago. There should be a good gallop here and that will suit the selection. Johnston has two runners with Colebrooke likely the pacemaker for Barnum.
